A Quick Peek.....

Horton's is having an open house sneak peek of the Christmas Market., this Saturday. The Christmas Market will be December the 5th.  But tomorrow is a browsing day. I saw lots of red polka dot ribbons and red plaid trimmed serving dishes.
This tree had sheet music covered ornaments...very pretty. This could be a way to dress up some of your old ornaments.
This fake wall with old sink is always a good spot for the Horton's to decorate.  I actually thought this old sink sold at the last market. It's always filled with the latest scents.

I loved this wreath. It's make of thin slices of a small limb , glued together and accented with a burlap ribbon and sprig of greenery.
I like this very thin chair back sitting upon this shelf. I guess we should never throw anything away.
Never put that old ladder away. Ever !! Here's one with small life trees in little galvanized pails and sweet signs...one for each step.
The water fountain feature is without water at this time of year....it's filled with  a bundle of skinny logs and evergreens and a big wooden star. I am sure tomorrow there will be more pops of red in this display. The Hortons were working like beavers to get it all ready for tomorrow.
Now look, if your dolly has cracked her head open...just make a vase of it. LOL.   See what I mean about not throwing anything out?
I am going to the open house tomorrow. I hope to get more pictures.  Some areas were closed off to the public.
Hope your day is a wonderful one. XO

  1. Susie, I wish I could go to Horton's open house with you. Look at all these goodies. That old sink with all the wonderful scents is charming. and I love the sheet music ornaments. Jess and Nel made those one year, and they turned out lovely. Have fun tomorrow, Susie, and be sure to show us what you bought.

    1. Sheri, I like to go to Horton's and get ideas and talk with people I run into there. Plus the Hortons are just great people. I like to shop there and help keep them in business. We have lost so many stores in our town... Years ago...before the big malls and stores, we had dress shops, men's stores and three shoe stores. a JC Penneys. Two variety stores. Hardware stores. Just about every thing you could need,. you could find in our town 45 years ago. I think it's wonderful when our kids make ornaments. I still have many that my daughters and I made when they were little. Blessings for a great weekend, love you, Susie

    1. Judy, I am sure you would love the Hortons, they are just the sweetest family. I like to buy a few things to help keep them in business, if it does. I try to encourage others to shop there. You know even if it's not something we want ourselves , we can find a gift or two for others. But then again, who would not want something cute, or some homemade fudge, or a reminder of their youth. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
