A Difference A Day Makes.....

This is Tuesday morning . The sky is blue and the sun is rising.
This shot was toward the west and the moon was still shining. It was a nice day with sun most of the day.
This is today (Wed.)  It's raining and freezing on the trees. This pine is touching the ground in places , because of the weight of the ice. This is what scares me. The possibility of losing power.   Our state, today,  is in the heart of this storm.  I would rather have rain or snow...but not both. I know there were tornadoes in the south last night .  A few states here in the Midwest will be having their share of bad weather today.  I was getting lulled into a false sense of springtime from our weekend.  Bummer.
Hope all of you are safe and warm.  Please use caution when going out. XO

    1. Thank you Janet. This past weekend was so nice....that's why I went to Horton's , to see what was going on for Spring Market there. Can't wait. Hope you are having a fun day. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  3. I hope the weather moderates and becomes a true spring very soon. Bad weather is so very dangerous. We had a terrible loss at work, a coworker's husband and dog were killed when a truck lost control in a sudden pouring rain and hit their vehicle. The power of nature is mighty and can be cruel.

    1. I am so sorry for your co-worker. That's the scary thing of bad roads...some times it's the people not wanting to slow down. There always that chance of a black ice spot. In the blink of an eye a person's life can change. I do not go out when it's bad...only in an emergency. I pray for those that have to be out. One county has lost power N.W. of here. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Oh my goodness, Karen. Tete lives in Iowa, she showed lots of snow where she lives. Glad you are okay there. My daughter Karen , just texted that she's home safe from her job. It is a blizzard warning for her area...she's about 50 miles from here. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  8. Susie, I saw all the tornadoes on the news last night-wow, such destruction! I walked five miles today with my friend and could tell I haven't been walking that far lately. That is too bad about the negative attitudes you mentioned, maybe they should read a devotional to change their perspective. I loved our luncheon and need to make time to do it more often.
Hope the storm passes quickly!!! Like you I'm ready for spring.
    Hugs, Noreen

    1. Noreen, You are walking like I wish I could. That would kill my ankles to walk that far. So proud of you . The snow has yet to hit here and 30 -40 miles away it's already fierce. I want to dig dirt, not shovel snow. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Judy, We got lucky a little the rain must have been warmer ...it melted the ice...although some counties lost power. It is snowing heavily at this time and suppose to snow into tomorrow afternoon. We have had a mild winter, but that weather we had this past weekend, makes me want spring. I can wait a bit longer I guess. Take care and blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

  14. Stay safe out there.
It has not stopped raining for over 18 hours and it looks like it is here to stay. Tired but holding on to patience is what we can do. We had snow yesterday before rain too.
Glad your Pine does not have the weight of the snow.

    1. Munir, I am not a big fan of lengthy rains . Yes, that pine that was touching the ground is my favorite here. It's a 45 foot scotch pine.I love looking at it against a blue sky. I think that's from years of going fishing in wooded areas. also many trips to Brown County State Park, here's in Indiana. We once again got lucky with the snow. we have about 3 inches...it's still snowing on and off for a while. Blessings to you and yours, be safe. xoxo,Susie

  15. Susie, I'm sorry about the ice ~ that's what we usually have. I so hope you don't lose power! We've had bitterly cold weather the past few days and 2" of rain yesterday. Wind was @ 45mph and just horrid. Today we had sunshine but still cold and windy. We're supposed to go back to the 70's and then drop next week again w/possible snow. Just when we think spring is upon us, right?

Stay warm and keep us posted as to how you're doing.

    xoxo

    1. Pat, So lucky here at times...the ice melted before any damage. These weather systems are windy aren't they? That's why there were some blizzard warnings in the N.W. part of our state. Praying no one dared to travel in that. It's to warm up and then rain some more. Poo Be safe where you are. Blessings, xoxo,Susie on the raining.

  16. Hi Susie! I've seen on TV the terrible storms all around and I do pray you've saved from that! We had such rains, thunder and lightning last night. I haven't seen a rain storm like that in a long time. Stay safe.

    1. Shelia, We did not get lots of snow...but it is snowing here today(Thursday). Not much...just going to be nasty for a couple days. I pray there's no more of the tornadoes ...those people are worse off than we are here. So sad the loss of lives and homes. Be safe. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  17. Yes, look what a difference a day makes in your area. Blue skies one day and snow and rain the next. I think that's what I love about where you live, Susie. It's unpredictable weather. I am wondering if we'll have a hot summer because it's already starting to get warm.

    1. If it's not too much snow or wind, I can deal with it...but sometimes you never know what will happen...in high winds even an inch of snow can be awful. Blessings, love, Susie

  18. Well we ended up with that weather system a couple of days ago. Rain and 60 mile an hour winds. Weather is always an adventure around here. This winter is much easier to deal with than last year, thankfully. Still having one day at 9 below 0, to 60 degrees two days later makes it an adventure on a daily basis.
