Horton's Spring Open House....

Saturday morning, my daughter Angie and I went to Horton's Spring Open House. Where everyone was welcome.  The Horton family greeted everyone who came.
Lots of displays of  home décor, with soft colors.
Some Easter things were there, such as blue eggs.  Although I think these would look cute any time of the year.
This was a faux flower display. I loved the watering can full of orange tulips.
A bowl of tea lights and pillar candles, that flicker. Never have to worry about forgetting to put the flame out. Lots of old photos, I call these instant "family".
Wreaths of greenery and some with flowers mixed in.
This little crate container in Donna Reyne's  booth.
I liked the pitcher in this display, a pretty light blue color.
Tin birdhouses mixed with small wreaths of greenery.Tin letters spelling out "home" on the bookshelf...even though I did not get the "E" in the picture.
Old mason jars with white tulips, where hanging in the little kitchen area.
In the potting area of the greenhouse, I found this wonderful big picnic basket full of pansies and a tiny watering can. This would look so cute at a front entrance or on a porch.
Then there's the Horton's homemade  fudges , so many flavors. This is orange creamsicle.
There are so many flavors it is hard to chose one you want to buy... you want more than one flavor. Even though the Spring Open House was on Saturday, the store will have these wonderful gifts, home decorations , the fudges, many flowers in the greenhouse, for sale everyday. Of course all the hardwares, paints, and home repair items, along with custom made blinds....any time you need them.
Angie and I had a fun time  looking and buying...plus visiting with the Hortons and citizens of our town. We went to lunch together, enjoyed our time . I'll show you what I bought this week.
Wishing all a great Sunday. XO

    1. Hi Laurie, I think some times we can get some decorating ideas just by looking. I loved some of the Easter things. I really do not decorate for Easter as much as I do just for Spring. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Wanda, You would be drooling for that fudge. I have yet to have any that wasn't the best. I never make fudge myself. I used to make PB fudge but no other flavor...but Horton's has so many kinds it's hard to to buy a bit. I like that I can pop into Horton any time I am in town and they never mind. They just say let me know if you want help and they go about their business and let you shop at your luxury. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Debbie, I ordered two flavors of fudge and MR. Horton gave it to be for free...saying he like that I Blog about their store. That was so kind of him. Dreamsicle was one of the flavors and maple walnut was the other. Both were tasty, Angie and I had coffee later with some for dessert. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  16. Ever think of starting a home decorating web site? Those were very nice pictures. Oh and the fudge! You made me think of the little fudge place on Martha's Vineyard! Even though I will have to move I keep telling Arlene that we will be going back at some point.

    1. Sheri, we know we can use things that are shown in one area of the home décor somewhere else in the house. That's what decorating is all about switching things up and making it work. Honey, I have to tell you this I had two flavors of fudge picked out, dreamsicle and maple walnut and Mr. Horton gave it to me for free, saying I always did nice blogs of the store. I think that was so nice, I almost felt like crying. Just was not expecting it. So Angie and I had some with our afternoon coffee for dessert, after eating at Subway.LOL Blessings, love you, xoxo,Susie
