Sunday Visiting....

Savannah and Emma talking together at aunt Angie's.  Savannah will be 14 this week.  I remember her walking around poking things with a little stick. ...how can she be 14 ??  There will be  a party later this week.   She's into coloring her hair ...a little more extreme than I do mine. LOL  Those phones !! ever at the ready.

Savannah's hair goes with my top and my hair looks flat and Emma's hair is shining as I had just washed and combed hers before we went to Angie's.   Look how tall those girls are. I am 5'4". I will be the shortest in the family one day.
Karen , on the right, came by my house on her way to Angie's...so we all went to Angie's for brunch . We always look at face book together, when we can .  We had a very nice time together.  Some good laughs. We laughed at Angie cooking everything in one pan. She told us, "quiet or I'll make you wash dishes after brunch."  Karen says, "Oh that's okay, you only use one pan. " Then the  barbs and laughs kept rolling. :)
The end to our  Sunday.  It seemed a long day..yet was over before we knew it.  I am enjoying my time with Emma.  Today she is going to be helping papaw roll the lawn.  :)
Hope all of you start this week off with a smile and some sunshine. XO

  2. Hi Laurie, I love all the time I can get with my daughters and their children.(my grands).I used to think 5'4" was about average for women....not any more.:):) Once I told my sister I wish I were 5-10...she said, well I wish I were 5 foot...she's only 4'11"...so I feel tall next to her. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  3. I'm the shortest one at 5'5" in my family, well 5'5 1/2" to be exact...I probably should round it up to 5'6" since most shoes have a bit of a heel to them. Glad you had this fun time with your family!

    1. Thank you Diane. The youngest of our grandkids are now growing so quickly...it makes me a bit sad. I know I will never have the same sweet connection with the great grandkids....because I will be too old, to chase, carry or entertain them. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi . Emma is our very youngest grand. She will be twelve next month. Savannah is 14 this week. I have two great grands...but I know I will never get to have the same relationship with them as grands...mostly because of our age...you just can not do the same things as you age. I used to shoot baskets and play baseball with Jake, He's 25 this week. So I know I do not have the same amount of energy. Kind of sad for us. Happy spring to you too. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  6. Hi Susie,

I know exactly how you feel about time and those kids growing up so fast. I feel it with my nieces who are 12, 13, 16! I kind of have the empty nest syndrome Aunt Style!

  8. Family time is the best.

Kids today think nothing of changing their hair with fun colors. I don't think I would have had the never to look "different". I always wanted to fit in.

    1. Carol, I had auburn red hair...I sure would never make it another color. I am glad Savannah wants this color in her hair... I hope it's a passing phase. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  9. LOL- they are getting tall! Now that is some pink hair...kids these days dye their hair as much as I change my undies. Some of the colors are pretty wild, too. The pea green is the one that gets me. When I get old and senile, that's what I am going to do with mine. LOL
Glad you had some time with all of the girls. Those darn phones drive me crazy! Almost everyone has them! Not me. I am holding out and dragging my feet to change. I am beginning to sound like my grandparents. What's wrong with not having a phone in the middle of a gathering or at the store?

    1. Tete, I am hoping that's just a pink hair phase. I like the little bits of pale colors in young girls hair the best...but I am with I don't like the green.LOL. Those phones make me nuts..nuts..nuts. Who is so all fired important they must be attached to a phone?? I always if I ever get that important, I surely will have phone answering people. LOL. I am hoping we get our nice spring temperatures back..I am cold these past 3 days Bless you, xoxo, Susie

  10. Savannah's hair is cute. Kids love to change their appearances now and then, and that's ok. I'm so glad you spent time with your daughters. I will see mine this weekend for Easter. :) These are treasured pictures of you and your girls, Susie.

    1. Sheri, I say kids should think twice about coloring their hair or doing drugs...cause they'll have to do both of those when they get old. LOL. Just kidding. I always hope the hair coloring is a fading fad. The drugs...I tell everyone I can...never do them, never. I like to braid Pooh's hair, but I do not like combing out the tangles...my grandsgirls are so tender headed. :) Blessings, love you, xoxo,Susie

  11. I have been lax in my cyber duties. Between work, packing, and moving some things to my sisters I have been busy. I know what you mean about the kids. I don't have any children but (that I know of. Ok it's an old joke.) my godchild is in her 40's with her own children. She was taller than me when she was 12. When did we get so old?

    1. Paul, I sure know that packing up feeling...I do not like it. I think if we were to move again...how did I get as much in 11 years our here that I had in town for over 30 years. How does that happen. Hey, what are you talking about, I just saw a kid that looked like you the other day. LOL..kidding. Say having a godchild that has a child..is kind of like a papaw. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
