The Sun Is Up....

This morning, as I went to the mailbox for our paper. I love when I can get a sunrise photo.
It's looking nice and promising today. But rain is in the forecast for our area. We may not get our stick picking finished. That's a spring time thing, picking up sticks from the yard that have blown out of the trees thru winter.
Looking toward town. Don't you love the quiet of mornings? When only birds are busy.
I took this photo yesterday and wanted to post it for Tete out in Iowa. Her husband works at a grain elevator. This is where most of  Tipton's corn is stored.
I think , no matter how many of these huge buildings , the companies build they still end up with much under tarps.  In the harvest season, this road back to the elevator is lined with semi trucks and wagons.  You can see the beautiful blue skies we had on Monday here in central Indiana.
Wishing all of you well today. Smile.XO

  1. The sunrise is beautiful. You must produce a lot of corn! I've seen some in PA but nothing like that. Have a good day'

    1. Hi Kathy, Hope you are doing well. Yes, we do make corn here...oh I forgot we also grow lots of soybeans. So sometimes that might be beans laying out in the open areas in tubes of plastic. It looks like something fro a syfy show...like giant worms. Blessings to you and Joe. xoxo,Susie

    1. Thank you Betsy. I can never get the shots I want...too many woods down the road to the East and it most often blocks the sunsrises...they have to be up a while. There's a time in autumn when I can get shots , as if the sun were rising from the middle of the road. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  4. That's a lot of corn! Pretty sunrise shots. It's good to be up early enough to see them. I enjoy them a lot and in the winter with no leaves on the trees I can see them better.

Thanks for the morning shots as I'm not a morning gal and seldom even look out the window until noon! :-)

  6. What a wonderful sight to behold first thing in the morning. I only get up that early during the summer. During winter, we stay in bed as long as we can.
Hope you have a great evening.

  9. I am not a morning person . . . I guess that's because I get up and go to work every morning so I don't take the time to enjoy the beauty of a sunrise. Thank you for reminding me that I need to. Blessings from Missouri!

    1. Sheri, I need to get up earlier and get out with my camera where the sunrise is sweeter. One of my favorite emeories of spring mornings is sitting coffee in the chair that sat by the telephone table , with the window open and smelling the neighbor's lilacs, while all my daughters sleep in on a Saturday morning. It was the fact that my girls were save and I was blessed. I think you are the type of mom who would understand this. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  16. I wish I had a view like you have for the sunsets. If I wasn't so lazy I'd drive down to the local lakes for some nice shots. We live in two different worlds. There's space where you live here we're all crammed into a small space. Still I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. It's my home.

    1. Boston Boy, I don't think you are lazy...I think you are kind of like me...once I get a "Bum" clothes on and my butt on that couch, sometimes, I am done for the day. LOL I really miss living in town. I do not want to be in a tight area...but near people. Some times, it's lonely out here, when Ted is at his part time job. If I were in town, I could just zip over to my daughters for a visit or coffee. Or a walk with my sisters. When I am out here, I think , Oh bother, get the car out drive 5 miles to talk or walk...So I stay home and get bored. LOL. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
