Friday Fun Day.....

I am going to show some photos of spring here, while I tell of my Friday. Because some times we are too surprised to take pictures...or take along our cameras. You can see how nicely Ted mowed on Thursday .
The weeping cherry tree is blooming . The plum bush is leafing out with it's burgundy color.
You can see the pale pink of the cherry blossoms against the green pines.

.  It's been sunny here for five days , counting this Saturday morning. I think spring is here to stay .

Yesterday my daughter Liz called and said she was coming over to visit. When she arrived she had her daughters Lynzie and Emma with her. Emma was out of school for the built in snow day the school had left. They also brought baby Max. :):) As soon as we were on the road, I realized I didn't bring my camera. Waaa.
We went to eat lunch at Dairy Queen. Emma  likes to go there. Then we went to the florist shop to ask the owner how her husband was doing. Visited the antique store also. Then we went to the school , signed in with my daughter Angie's permission. Angie's class was having a swim period. We got to watch the students swim and visit with Angie.
As we were entering into the area of the natatorium , I could hearing singing. The high school choir was rehearsing in the next hallway. They sounded so good.
Liz brings me home, I get hugs and the day is over. It was a fun surprise and I truly enjoyed the whole day. Hope all of you are having a fun weekend. XO

  1. What a great day! You get to spend all that time with family, go to school, eat, do an act of kindness and see the kids in action and listen to their songs. What wonderful, unexpected treats indeed.

    1. Nonnie, I did have a great day....was not expecting that . I was going to go ask my dr. office a question and then come home and sort books. But being with my daughters and grand daughters and beautiful baby max...was a bit of heaven. Max was so good...not a whimper or cry from him. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Tessa, It was a great time spent with family. Yes, I think spring is here for real. :) Our neighbors have mowed also. Some times it's rough for Ted ...when it's vacation time. He mows before he goes and has to mow as soon as he returns home. It must be fun to have your grandson next door. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  9. The weather has improved and it looks to be in the low 70's on Monday. I'm glad I'm off and don't have to deal with the added congestion to traffic with the marathon going on. Still packing. What a pain.

  10. Sounds like a fun filled day, Susie. That lawn sure does look great. Ted does an excellent job on the landscaping. You know, every now and then, I'll go to Dairy Queen also. Mostly in the summers for a chocolate dipped cone hehehe. Tell Emma that I like to go there too. :)

    1. Sheri, I let Ted mow and weed whack...we both plant tree and shrubs. I do the flowers or painting . We are a good team. I like going to DQ when I 'm in town and don't want to come home to cook. Ted likes tip tops too. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Love , Susie
