Early Day....

This is actually late afternoon...lol... the geese are flying north. You can hear them from a good distance.
They are reshaping in this shot.
This is a bit blurry...a morning picture of our courthouse.

Heading east and seeing the shape of Cargill's grain elevator on the left.
Things are calm at the elevator now.  Being that harvest is many months past.
The sun rising up just past a small woods. Lots of pretty sky colors.  Ted and I just had a day away from the house. Shopping for a few needed things. We had coffee and sausage biscuits on the road. Even that was fun for something different in our day.  Much later we had a wonderful lunch, at the cafeteria.  Ted had fish and I had chicken. :):)
Later in the day we filled  the bird feeders and got some chores done.  Relaxing now. Ted is watching a movie and I am catching up with blogs. Hope all of you enjoyed your Saturday. XO

  2. Hi Susie! I've been so busy I haven't been able to visit blogs. Went to Bonita Springs, Florida last week and this week trying to get caught up. I posted a picture today of the Sandhill Cranes and I thought maybe that is what you were posting a picture of! They have been flying over the last couple of days. What do you think of this weather? I'm LOVING it!!! Have a great evening!

    1. Cindy, When we break our routines ..it can be work just catching up. Glad you had a fun time. We had cranes in the field across the road once. But I am sure these are geese...they were making that honking noise. :):) Lots and lots of them too. This weather is totally unreal. I loved the way today smelled...so fresh. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
p.s. We'll have to see each other at Horton's in March. :):)

  4. Sounds like a perfect Saturday to me! I'm about to call Louis Dean to check on him. He told me this morning that he was going to make apricot pies today! I'm sure they will be good but I'm concerned about my kitchen!

    1. Linda, I know what you mean about your kitchen.LOL...Ted will some times make his tea...we make it by the gallon..he never washes up anything..Just yeaterday I thought to myself..How would it feel to just throw things into the sink, or clothes hamper and not ever have to worry about who will clean it up. GAAAAA. I guess it's a pet peeve with me...Everyone should take care of their own needs and then clean up and put away. Hope your trip is going well. Blessings, love, xoxo, Susie

    1. Diane, I was wondering if geese had a built in calendar telling them to head north. LOL. Yesterday was a great day. Today will be warmer but foggy for most the day. Bummer. Hope your day is a fine one. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  6. I sure like to watch the geese when they fly over with their flock. Their honk is very loud, and you can always tell when the geese are near. This sunrise is beautiful, Susie. It sounds like you had a nice Saturday. Have a relaxing Sunday as well.

    1. Sheri, You are so right about hearing the geese...they are heard long before they are spotted...wonder what they are arguing about. LOL. I did enough our carefree day out. We still returned home in time to do chores. Hope you are safe there...those floods are worrying me and so I am praying for your state. Be safe honey. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie

The geese flying north...I saw some flying today...a sure sign that spring is here....just can't believe those ground hogs now a days, maybe they are giving us fake news. I would like to believe the geese. But who knows there is still March. But this day sure gave a feeling of new beginnings, the crocus's are popping up too...yeah, it feels like SPRING!!

    1. Hi Kay, It was kind of fun to be like young people ..haha, eating in the car. I do not like to smell food in the car normally. Don't ask honey...when I was young (and starving) I loved smelling food anywhere...but the older I have gotten, it's all different. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
