Look Who's Coming Home......

Ted Is finally well enough, that he is coming home. Not sure for how long.  But it will be so nice to see him everyday.  He is over his cdef  or cdif. , However it's spelled.  But I will be taking precautions anyways.  I am praying Ted will be able to get his strength and spirits back fully.  He had a horrible time recovering from the second chemo round.  He may have one to go. It will all depend on the cancer doctor and Ted's blood work.
This is the weather we had on Saturday. It iced, sleeted, and snowed. Power flickered on and off many times. Many were without power for some time.  So scary and dangerous..
Sunday the sun was old, but it was bitter cold and today is even colder.  The sunshine lifts my spirits even in this cold.  It is sunny today and I want to enjoy that sweet glow.
On Saturday Layla had her cousins over for the night, as the boys parents and grandparents went to Chicago for a Blackhawks hockey game. Now have any of you ever called your grandkids monkeys? Well just look at Layla's feet  holding her drink as she uses her hands for a bag of treats.  So funny, she's a monkey .:)
The boys brought their dog Madison over with them. She is on the left and maybe not so cozy with Bennie, Layla's doggie. It was way too cold for animals to be outside without a heated house. These are inside dogs.
Dear friends, I thank you for all the wonderful prayers and well wishes.  I am asking you to please continue to pray for Teddy. He is truly a good man with a kind heart. Would do anything he could for anyone. :) Thank you for your kindnesses. XO

  1. Hello... I'm reading your blog and looking forward to hearing from your husband. It's good that there's hope he can be at home, that will be wonderful for you and for him too. The snowfall is really big on many sides. My son is in NY and he sent me scary pictures. I'm happy for your good news.

  2. Oh, Susie! I am so thrilled to see an update! We love you both and pray daily and often for you and Ted. I’m so happy Ted will get to come home. At least for awhile. This whole thing won’t last forever......but I know it’s such a long journey for y’all. You know what I’m looking forward to? Picyptures of Ted on his fishing trip this year! I can already see the pictures in my mind’s eye. I will shout for joy when it becomes reality.
Hang in there, my dear! We are all praying!

    1. Thank you so much Linda and LD. Your prayers are precious gifts to Ted and I. I know he is thinking of his fishing trip. It's kept him going. It's time with his brothers and son and other family members. It has been a tough time. When I helped my daughter during her cancer battle, that was tough too. Time gets by slowly. Blessings to you , love you both, xoxo, Susie

  7. I'm so glad Ted gets to come home for awhile, Susie. Yes, I will continue to say prayers for him, and you too. Your snow is beautiful, but right now you could use some of that warmth from the sun. It's been raining a lot lately, which is much needed in our state. The cousins look so cute sitting on the couch interacting with each other. I think about you a lot, Susie, and I appreciate my blog friend very much.

He tries so hard to make himself feel good. Some times his tummy hurts. That chemo has turn him inside out. We laugh about things we have said and done...so that was so good for both of us. We love our little monkeys, they make us happy. Blessings to you and yours. xoxo, Susie

  37. So glad that Ted is home. (I hope so as I am finding this a bit late.) This journey to recovery and good health is quite the challenge. I am praying for Ted and believing that he will be back to himself soon. He sure has one of the most amazing smiles I have ever seen. Mercifully, we have a wonderful God Who loves us no matter what. It is a good thing to just place ourselves in His hands. You have been remarkable, Susie. A good wife. Do I ever call grands “monkeys”? LOL. I am sure and I have also called them “yahoos.”

Thank you so much for the prayers. It has been super stressful...that is bad enough without hospital and medical professional mess ups. Like not sending all the scrips and trying to find the right numbers to call and get them to call the meds into the CVS. More than once I have been in tears. I hate feeling helpless. It is a good thing we have our loving God. The prayers help me so much..or I would probably be bald from hair tearing. Blessings to you sweet girl. xoxo, Susie
