On Our Drives.....
This is a short up date on my sister Jeanie. She was taken from the Saxony hospital she went to on Thursday and sent to Methodist. They did surgery late yesterday afternoon. She had an ulcer on her artery ( I do not know what that means). But they put a stent in and cleaned up the ulcer. She will be staying in the hospital for the weekend maybe a bit longer. The drs. told Jeanie's daughter , that she did very well.Thank you for your prayers my friends. I believe that there is great power in prayer and I am so thankful. Thankful to all of you who wished Jeanie well, thought good things for her and the prayers. Please stay safe. XO

Prayers continue as we travel for Jeanie. On the road, a little rough now. JJ is driving Sherry is co pilot..ReplyDelete
Jack & Sherry actually on the road!
Tell Sherry that went Ted calls me the back seat driver, I politely remind him, I am the navigator. There's a difference. :) Thank you for the prayers. , please be safe. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Prayers for your sister. Your drives sound wonderful. I am afraid to drive much because there are no longer available bathrooms. LOL xo LauraReplyDelete
Laura, I know what you mean about bathrooms. LOL. We need some of those astronaut diapers. Thank you so much for the prayers. I am grateful. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Glad all went well and your sister was able to get the stent in . Prayers for a quick and speedy recovery for her. I need to get out for a drive like you did. I'm tired of stay here in the house and need to see something different.ReplyDelete
Thank you for the prayers, i appreciate them. It will do your soul good to see some other views of nature. I like going thru our park. I roll down the windows and listen for children laughing or squealing at the slash pad and pool. I used to be able to hear children at recess when I live in town. Made me think of the happy days when my daughters were young and going to school. Bless you, xoxo, SusieDelete
good news susie, i hope she continues to do well as we all continue to pray for her. your pictures of the sky are lovely!!ReplyDelete
Thank you Debbie. I will tell my sister how sweet everyone has been to wish her well and pray. Today our skies are gray and wet. :( Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Oh that's great news about your sister Susie. I'm so happy to hear she's doing well. That first photo is so pretty with the sun setting! I'm not a big fan of night driving either. I don't see too well at night and the oncoming headlights blind the dickens out of me. I hope you both have a wonderful weekend! :)ReplyDelete
Thank you sweet Rain. I am really happy about my sister. I will let everyone know when I learn more. I will need my cataract surgery before I feel good about night driving.Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Thank you for the update on Jeanie and I pray she will do well and be out of the hospital by the first of the week. Your pictures from your drives are really pretty. We often take a drive around the block just to get out, too. xoxoReplyDelete
Mildred, I am laughing about how many do take drives to just get out of the house. LOL. I am glad you do too. Thank you my friend for your kind prayers for my sister. I know she will feel better when I tell her of the kindness of others. Blessings, be safe. xoxo, love, SusieDelete
Your sister is yet another proof that prayers work. God's always busy, but not too busy for any of us! Her situation sounds scary, I never heard of that happening, but thankfully, they found it. I'll keep praying forReplyDelete
'yinz' which is Pittsburghese for all of you.
Jan, Your Pittsburgese is almost hillbilly sounding...we would you'uns when we were little LOL. I am still worried for my sister...she has to get thru this. Today she had much pain. Blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete
So glad to read the good news about your sister. God is good and has her in the palm of His hand.ReplyDelete
Hubby and I get antsy too and have to go somewhere in the car ...anywhere...just go !!

Little drives can make a huge difference. Glad you are able to take them. So glad Jeanie was able to get the stint and is doing OK. God is good! He hears our prayers. Love and Hugs.ReplyDelete
Wanda, I often wonder if God ever says, "Oh dear it's Susie again" Some times I say "God it's me Susie" Just in case he forgot me. LOL. I am thankful for all the prayers for my sister and I know she is still in great need. But to know they got the stent into her heart helps . I may talk Ted into a drive tomorrow. We drove by the golf course and I saw my brother Tommy crossing the road to start the back 9. :) Blessings, xoxo, love, SusieDelete
Oh that is good new about your sister. So happy!!ReplyDelete
One reason I like my morning walks is because I can see others out too.
Hi Happy girl. I am so thankful for my sister doing better. She did have lots of pain today. But I make myself remember she got the stent and that is so helpful for her heart. Blessings, be safe , xoxo, SusieDelete
My sister and I were saying today that everyone is comfortable at a different point concerning people, masks, eating out, etc. Some things are just a person's preference and some really matter. We are not permitted to go for a drive. If a policeman stops you, you must give a destination and reason.ReplyDelete
So glad to hear the news about your sister. That is so good.
Oh dear Kathy, If we could not take a drive, I would be bald from tearing out my hair...LOL I would think being in a car would be like being at home. I wear my mask and I distance. But of someone chooses to not wear a mask...then back up off of me brother. LOL. I am worrried about my daughter, she starts school on the 12th.Delete
I am praying my sister is healing although she had lots of pain today. It will take some time. Blessings to you and Joe, xoxo, Susie
Glad to hear that your sister is doing well. Your drives remind me that I need to start the car! :)ReplyDelete
Oh yes, start your car honey...you can not let them sit too long. A drive around the block or more, would help. I am hoping tomorrow morning my sister is feeling better. today was rough for her. Blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete

I am grateful for everyone's kindness in wishing my sister better health. The prayers and sweet words have truly helped. Bless you, xoxo, SusieDelete
I am so sorry I have been out of the loop. Will catch up on your posts! Internet is spotty here in the country. I usually have enough data to turn it on when I post and then back off again. i remember your long stretch without wifi of any kind!ReplyDelete
Prayers for your sister and I am so glad you and Ted can at least get out for drives. Being in the country has been our saving grace. Not many places we need to go and the Covid count is so low here. But, alas, we will be back in the city on Tuesday and will be there for 18 days before we come back down here. Love you guys!
Thank you Linda. My sister came home this afternoon. She says she feels much better. She will need to slow down a tiny bit....feel her way. New meds and such. Oh Ted and I will try to drive to town everyday. Even to just go around the park. LOL. He had chemo this morning. Two more days of that and then it's to the Bone Marrow clinic for a check up....hoping we are nearer to the end of some of the chemo. Blessings, stay safe, xoxo, love you so much, SusieDelete
So they did do the surgery! I'm glad they got it done, and sounds like it was a success. I do hope she'll be recovering real quick and be home and stronger real soon! I'm glad they figured out what it was. Yes, we like to go for long drives too, especially out in the country. I wouldn't like to live there, but i do love to go see it. ha ha! Is Ted feeling ok? Hope y'all had a nice weekend. My gosh it's SO DANG HOT HERE. Is it like that there? Anyway, going for a drive is good for us for a change of scenery plus we get to stay inside where it's cool.ReplyDelete
Debbi, It was 61 degrees this morning...so nice. Heating up but not in the blinking 90's like it has been for so long. My sister came home today and said she felt much better. She will have to adjust to her meds and slowing work in some walking.Take care there, praying for the East coast. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Praying things are much better with your sister Susie. Hugs and blessings, CindyReplyDelete
Thank you Cindy girl. My sister is back home...says she feels better. She has new meds and has to take it easy and slowly do things. I am so thankful to everyone for prayers and woihes . Our Lord is caring for us.. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
I'm so glad your Jeanie did well in her surgery. I know you have to be terribly relieved. Good news!ReplyDelete
Yes, yes, she is home now. She came home this afternoon . Says she feels much better. God is good. Bless you, xoxo, SusieDelete
Going for a drive is good! We don't do it often. Hope your sister is continuing to get better. It's so hard to not be together especially when going through a tough time! We wear masks when out. I have been going to some stores again but trying to be careful. Covid doesn't seem to be going away which makes me so sad. I want to hug my family!!! May we all hang in and hang on...♥♥ReplyDelete
Thank you Doris. It is sad not to be able to hug our loved ones. It just isn't natural. No I think Covid is here to stay , especially when I see so many without mask and I know they surely have young children. Heartbreaking. Stay safe, blessings to you and your family, xoxo, SusieDelete
I sure am glad your sister did well and pray she will be much better soon.ReplyDelete
I too hope this mess will be gone soon, so we can get back to normal.
Thank you Dolly. My sister is better and home. :) I pray for all of us , stay safe and blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete
Hi out there, Yup, my Brother and I get along NOW, there was a time however !! Glad they put that Stent in on that "Ulcer", Nice Pictures, looks flat like the Ocean does with the horizon so far away !!! Take care, sending Blessings your way !ReplyDelete
Thank you so much. Yes, there are days we can see forever. I always say the soybean fields look like green waves when the wind blows. Glad you and your brother have peace. Family trouble are so hard to live with. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
I am so glad the Lord heard all the prayers.ReplyDelete
Me too !!! I know he hears us, I just hope he never tires of all the praying. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
we like to take drives out farther into the country when the weather cools down.. Just to get out and see some nature after a long hot summer... I am SO happy to read your sister did well. I don't think I've ever heard of someone having something like that but I'm sure it's common in the medical world. Im just so glad to read she made out well and will be coming home soon. XO
Robyn, My sister is home now and feeling better. I hope she realizes how very blessed she is after two close calls. I love taking drives for fun....not for going to the drs. appts. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Susie —so glad you’re able to get out. Love the drives. Wonderful news on Jeanie.ReplyDelete
