Horton's French Market....

Horton's is having the summer French Market this 11th and 12th..   Oh I just can't wait. I am taking my youngest sister, as a birthday outing. She has just finished her PT after having  a knee surgery. She says she is fine and would love to go .  I hope they have some little craft project. They have each time we have gone. That is always fun. Plus we will have lunch together. I have missed our days together. There's suppose to be about a dozen or more venders set up . I'll try to get plenty of photos.
   It's been grey and dreary looking here today.  Hope you are having sunshine.  Praying for everyone who had storms and too much rain yesterday.  XO

Pretty Days.....

 We have enjoyed the best weather the past few days. I am loving the low humidity. When it's too hot I feel drained. Even as a kid I did not like super hot days.

 I have sat on the porch and just relaxed for a while. I like to write letters while I am out. Or sun my feet and legs.  I try to get my vitamin "D" thru my feet. LOL.  We had a sprinkle this morning and starting tomorrow we may get a bit of rain for three days. Nothing like so many have in areas that are flooding. You have my prayers.

A Couple Of Greats......

 This is Cooper, he is the youngest in the family . He is my great nephew. Fell asleep after everyone passed him around for some hugs and playing. :):)

 This is Erron and her father. She is my great niece. Her father is very  kind and watched her very carefully. This little girl is so sweet and sharing.

Some of the girls playing bean bag/corn hole games. They were playing against the boys. LOL Lots of bragging.Too funny. The day was absolutely meant for a picnic. Got a bit warm, but nothing as bad as the past few years. Lots of good food, laughs, conversations, and picture taking. Another wonderful 4th of July with my family. Hope all of you enjoyed your holiday too.  XO

Center Piece.....

    The photo on the bottom was last year's center piece. The top one is this years. I used mostly the same things .  I did use that white pitcher I got this Spring.  I try to always use this tablecloth. I call it my picnic tablecloth. It says Summer to me.
   I had a great day with my sister yesterday. We had a couple nice little walks, some fun conversation. Plus we have made plans to go to the goodwill one day next week. You know to have something fun to look forward to doing.
   Tomorrow is our family reunion , 4th of July celebration. Most of my siblings are coming, my daughter's and their children. Some nieces and nephews. It will be a busy fun time. My brothers will tell all their crazy golf stories. That alone will keep us laughing.

Time For A Visit.....

I am going to go spend a little time at my sister's today. We always say we will do this and do that....and we are lucky to find a bit of time together. She just had the yard sales to help her son clear out a lot of stuff as he was moving to another state. Then she spent 5 days baby sitting her twin grandsons.
  Jeanie isn't adjusting very well to retirement. She was taking naps everyday for a long time. Says she has too much time on her hands to think about her life. She needs some hobby. She used to craft and read . Now I think she isn't even reading like she used too.  This is the sister that I write to about 3-5 times a week. She has even stopped writing as often.  She should do some volunteer work or get a mini job.
  Maybe we will take a little walk .  Maybe sit under the shade trees and talk.  Hope all of you enjoy today. XO

Sunday Drive In Town...

 This is a hydrangea that I spotted in the side yard of a business in town. It has blue and pink flower heads on the same plant. It looks like this ne could use some clean up.

 This is the rose garden in our city park. It has had major clean up, as we are celebrating 100 years of our park.

This is one of the flower beds at the entrance of the park. The Goose Bean Garden Club has volunteers to go to the park and help with the flowers, plantings and clean up. Every thing looks so clean and groomed for this week.
  Hope all of you are having a good week so far. We have had some storms, lots of rain. Just thinking maybe by the 4th it will be all clear.:):)   xo
