The fields across the road have been planted with corn. Wish that fellow would mow his ditches more.
Ted mows our lawn at 3 inches. That helps the grass thicken and helps keep weeds out.
I spotted this little visitor through the blinds.
My emerald hosta is growing. It will take over this area.
This is a coral bell plant. I love the colors , from green to burgundy .
This is our dwarf Japanese maple. One of my all time favorite trees. We had a green one, I have tried to keep going for 4 years. This past winter finally killed it off. The trees have all leafed out now . All the perennials are growing taller. Of course we have had plenty of rain and very warm temperatures for May....in the eighties. I am not crazy for that kind of heat. It's too soon.
Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend. XO

What's Going On....
This is the entrance to my sister's new apartment. Things are still in the works for making a patio where the dirt and gravel are. There's a coffee can and cup near her door. She's still getting settled. Everything is so near within walking distance. Like a grocery, the library, second hand stores(junk) , cafes. They live a block from the post office and movie theater. A block and a half from Horton's.
My sisters Brenda and Jeanie live two doors from each other. This is the view of the neighbor's house across from them. Birds singing. My sister has complained about the same neighbor's dogs barking. That neighbor said to let them know if the dogs became a bother...they have those safe bark collars. No one wants to hear dogs barking when you can hear birds singing, instead. I think it'll work out okay with that nice neighbor.
My sister Barb is home from the hospital and doing well. She is not suppose to have lots of visitors and not over do. So I am sending her cards to cheer her, rather than call. She needs to do this at her pace. She and I will go to lunch as soon as she feels up to it. Thanks to all of you, once more, for your kind thoughts and prayers. You have helped me so much. Wishing you a beautiful day. XO

Meet Bear & Lily....
You dog people will like this post. This is my sister Brenda letting my brother Steve's dogs out . This is Bear, he hardly has any legs. He makes me laugh when he runs, because at first it's like he's running in place. Not really going anywhere. He knows how to push the button for the windows to roll down. I told my brother that's dangerous, he could fall out. My brother said he's too short to fall out. LOL.
This is Lily....she's not as sweet as Bear. But once she gets her barking over with, she 's better. I do not know the breeds. I think lily looks like a poodle. Bear just looks like a sissie in his hair cut. My sister some times goes to let then out for a run and pee.
I felt better yesterday. Had to go to a viewing of one of my daughter's all time best friends' dad. It was sad to see his wife hurting. She has been her husband's care giver for over a year. He had Alzheimers. They had both been retired for just a few short years. Sad. Yesterday, I read on Linda's blog, of Linda's Life Journal, this quote....What ever it is you want to do, go out and do it. There's just so many tomorrows." I don't care what age you are, this is a true statement. Try to find some joy everyday. It doesn't have to be as big as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade , it can be as small as a flower budding out. Take in that moment. XO

Good News...
I love getting good news and giving good news. My stomach scoping went well and everything was good. It actually went very fast. I slept most of the day. Had graham crackers and popcicles. Thank you wonderful blog family for all the well wishes and prayers !!! Look at this cute cards I received from my sweet blog sister Debbie at Lakehouse. Inside this card says," if we pray for each other while we do dishes, we both get prayed for at least once a week." LOL
Debbie had tucked this lavender sachet inside. I have it by my bed so I can smell that lovely scent. Thank you Debbie, you are a sweetheart.
Everyone look.....look who is flying the nest. All those big robin babies have flown from home and now the parents are scurrying around to protect them. Talk about growing up in a hurry, my goodness. Doesn't it seem the same way with our own little ones ?
I want to wish all of you a beautiful day. You are in my heart always. XO

Think Of Me Today....
Today I am getting my stomach scoped. It's because of acid reflux. I had three bad episodes last month. Actually I am doing better, but this was scheduled so I am going through with it. I hope I dream of this day in Central Park. :):) That was a fun time.
I know when I come home, hey boy, I can have some food. :) I will be at the hospital in an hour. I hope for not long. Hoping for a good report. The Dr. says I need to lose 20 pounds. My friends said I need a new Dr. ...LOL. Oh those ladies. I had brunch with my classmates yesterday. That was fun catching up. We decided to meet the second Monday of the month, so everyone can mark their calendars. This is simpler than trying to work around everyone's schedules.
Wishing all a good day. XO

Happy Mother's Day Blog Sisters.....
Wishing all of you out there in blogland a happy mother's day. I love getting plants for mother's day gifts....you get to enjoy them for a long time. I used to buy annuals for my mom to put in her containers. I had even bought her a cement container to put at the corner of her porch. I have that container now and think of my mother every time I put plants in it. my mom should have been a florist, she loved flowers so much. Asking all of you who still have your mothers to please hug them for me. I miss my mom. Blessings to all moms today. XO

Good Views & News.....
When I went to my daughter Liz's on Thursday, I took some pictures around her area. This is a beautiful wheat field across the road. What a beautiful sky.
Here are the redbud and dogwood trees along the driveway.
In the backyard, there's a drop off hillside. You can see the creek that flows through the bottom part of Liz, Matt, and Emma's property. Emma has found a mushroom here.Oh that just makes me laugh. Papaw made them all a mushroom stick . When Emma found that mushroom she flew in the house to get her mushroom stick that is propped by the fireplace. She keeps it inside because papaw put a little yellow lab dog on the end.
In the area between these woods is where Liz watches deer. She says she has also seen coyotes.
Here is Emma's swing set. Papaw put this up for her when Liz was fighting cancer. Emma just about wore it out that year. This little fort on top , she called her playhouse. She doesn't play on it much any more being 11 years old now. But they will keep it for Layla Rose to play on when she comes over.
Here's my good news. My sister Barb, the one who had a mini stroke, will be going into a regular room on Monday. That is a good sign. Although I have no more news on her stroke, what kind, where the blood came from, I feel that God is answering our prayers. Thanks to all of you wonderful bloggers and friends for your prayers and kind words.
Wishing all moms a happy mother's day, tomorrow. XO
