Here's Max !!!!

    My daughter Liz holding her grandson Max. We are so in love with him.

   I finally get to hold him . He was alert and looked right at me....so I know he loves me just as I do him.

   He has some nice hair already. Blue eyes, weighs 7 lb 11 oz. 20 inches .long. He is adorable. I held him a good long time and I love every minute of it.

    Look who came  to see her new cousin. It's Laya Rose. Remember she was born at the end of February. I was amazed at how excited she seemed. She was pumping her legs while I held her.

  Emma Pooh was sitting in the rocking chair in Max's nursery.  I laughed, he already had toys.

  Lynzie and Mark did a fine job getting the baby's  nursery together.  They had made a changing table of an old dresser. The room is in whites, grays, and this turquoise.

  Thought I would show  their Christmas three also.  They had an island honeymoon, so their tree is all fish , shells, light houses. A total beach themed tree.
  Hope you enjoyed seeing my family. My great grandson and great granddaughter too. I am so blessed. Can't wait to hold the babies again. :):)
    I am having my sister over for lunch today. we will watch our soap opera, the Young and Restless. :):)  Wishing all of you a wonderful day. XO

Oh Deer....

       This is a different dear. LOL.   Here's Emma and Izzy the cat by their tree.  I should have taken a better photo of the tree.   I went over on Sunday ,and we all went to Lynzie and Mark's ,to see our new baby Max.  I'll show his photo when I get the okay.

  Matt bought this deer for Liz last year. You can see that Emma has put the shelf elf on it's antlers.

  Liz just bought this deer on sale at the Cracker Barrel restaurant.  Anyone who knows Cracker Barrel knows along with good foods, they also have a wonderful gift shop. It's was on sale too.

    Here's Emma, Liz and Matt's stocking hanging by the fireplace. 

  I thought Liz did a great job on her mantle.  She loves decorating.  She also picked up a gold colored deer for the porch. I did not get a picture. He's about as big as Sam their dog.
 On my way home on Sunday, I stopped at Karen's (Liz's twin sister) I should have taken a photo of her tree. It was loaded with pictures and crafts her children have make thru the years. So pretty. Savannah is very artistic, she made the star topper for their tree this year. :):)

Always In Art....

  This young lady  is grown now, but my daughter Kathy used to babysit her .  She's the daughter of an art teacher that used to teach here in Tipton. Look at her precious little girl.  Kendra grew up and went to art school and received her degree. She now designs and make all types of things from recycled materials.  She was selling some of her cute thing at the sidestreet mall on Saturday.

  This is her husband, sorry I didn't get his name. I asked him if he helped Kendra make things . He said he was her inspiration and her muse.  Kendra said, he was amusing.  Such a cute family.

                      

   I bought a pretty wristlet purse for my daughter Kathy. I thought she would like to have something made by one of the children she had babysat.  The tag on the purse says Pockets for Peace....some of the proceeds from Kendra's sales go to local charities.  A wonderful reason to buy.
   Here we are , into our second week of December, wow.   Wishing all of you well. XO

Christmas Market At Horton's.....

     My daughter Angie and I went to Horton's today. After a morning of freezing fog...the sun is finally out. It was an eighth of a mile visibility when I drove into town.  So I took the back ways.  Horton's was busy.

   By the time my daughter and I got there, you could tell that a lot of stuff had been sold. Serious shoppers there today.

  They did have 30 % off most things today. That's an incentive for buying. :):)

 We also went to the side street mall. That's where my favorite florist has a shop.  It is a small place and so full of shoppers you could not really take long to look.

   Do you remember the honeycomb Christmas trees I bought at Horton's sneak peek Christmas show?

 Well, I bought more and put them all on the mantle. I mixed nine of those with three paperback novel Christmas trees I made last year.

 Added some pine cones and some of Ted's wooden vases. Some old books that I use in decorating all the time.

 I wanted to show this picture that Emma took of Layla looking out the window. When I saw this picture it just tugged at my heart. So Liz made one for me. I put it on the mantle with all the trees...cause that  little round head made me think of Charlie Brown...and that's Christmas to me.  :):)
   Hope you are having a beautiful day.  I am thinking of sitting on the porch in the sun...even if I have to wear a coat. XO

We Have A New Baby !!!!

     We are finally parked at the hospital. Drove the entire parking lot to find a space.

   Here's our granddaughter Lynzie and her husband Mark. They are a wonderful young couple. So excited to become parents.  Lynzie had to be induced.

   This is the blanket she made to wrap our baby in and bring home.  She and Mark did not want to know if it was a boy or girl.

  So Lynzie chose a yellow for one side and pastel animal print for the other side. I think the nursery is gray and white.

 I just love this sweet granddaughter.  I told her I was hugging her before she became a mommy.  We waited a long time. She didn't sleep well the night before, was admitted to the hospital at 7:00 am. There were five babies delivered that morning, so Lynzie 's inducing , was put off for a few hours.
   Liz, my daughter is Lynzie's mom. She texted me at 11:30 pm and said it's getting close. Then again at 2:02  with a picture of a baby in a cap.  We have a boy. So little Max is officially with his family now.
 Sorry no picture, you all know I can not do that techy stuff..like transferring the pic for my phone to my blog. LOL Soon, I'll get some pictures and hugs. Plus how much he weighs and how long he is.  I think everyone is wore out.

Welcoming December...

  Here's Teddy Bear filling the bird feeder under the pines. Some times the feed doesn't last very long.

            The sun  was starting to set and the sky to the east turned pink. I love pink clouds.

                  You can see the sun setting .

    Thru the neighbors' apple trees.  They had a lot of apples this year. They have told us to help ourselves to them. I have helped myself to a couple here and there...too organic for me. :):)

    This is the start of yesterday morning. Frosty and cold. Anyone who knows deck boards, knows these can be very slick ...so always be careful when they are wet in any way.

      I took this shot, hoping you could see the frost on the lawn. It almost looks like snow. Later in the day, it did snow , then stopped and the sun tried it's best to shine again...then it snowed some more  and was sticking. Later the snow stopped and today is a sunny day. Some crazy weather for December already.
  I would like to remind people today....when it is snowy out please feed the birds. Even if it's just old bread or crackers. We need them. They sing for us , which is so sweet. XO

Handmade Gifts ......

      Last year Emma was here and we made some homemade gifts.  She cut these snowmen from felt, glued them to magnet strips. Put their buttons and faces on with a marker. Glued a orange felt piece and black hat...they were ready to go. Cute on the fridge.

  Then we bought some animal print fleece  and made some scarves.

  Emma did a great job on these. You just cut the length you want and cut some fringe on the ends. We gave her mom one and her aunt Angie one for her birthday. Of course Emma had one to wear herself. These are very nice gifts that the kids can make and anyone can wear. You may want a plaid for the fellows in your life.
   The sun did shine today, not all day but this afternoon. Hope your day was good. XO
