Great Weekend....

  This is  granddaughter, Savannah and her mom, Karen.  We are ready to go to Savannah's choir concert.

  The kids caught the bus at Rossville and then went to  West Lafayette Jr/Sr high school. for the concert. I thought it must be a sing off. Because there were 17 choirs.  We watch the 1st three. Savannah was in the third choir. Once she sang , they took the bus back to Rossville school. Then Karen and I picked Savannah up for lunch.

 Look who joined us for lunch ...Emma.... and her mom.  We ate at a place called Treece's.  They serve many things, salads, sandwiches, complete dinners. But hey the coffee was not to my liking.  Don't ask.

 After lunch we went to this junk shop...called the peacock.  They had a bit of everything. I will show more photos tomorrow.  It was a great day with my twin daughters and their daughters. The weather was just wonderful.  I hope all of you had some enjoyment today. XO

Our Birthday Girl....

  This is a picture of Emma when she was about 3.  Breaks my heart how quickly that time went by. She has a birthday , and is now eleven. In the blink of an eye, our little granddaughter is growing up.  I called her last night. Papaw tried to lure her over with the promise of "peanuts"  She says papaw always has plenty of peanuts.  I have heard her call give him the dickens for buying any kind but Planter's. LOL.
  Emma has been a true blessing in our family.  She's smart and funny. She loves pets. She told me on Easter Sunday that the new member in our family, Layla Rose, was stealing some of her attention.  I asked Emma if she gave the baby attention and she says , of course .  I told her babies do need a lot of attention, so it is good that we all love on the baby and care for her. She's already saying, "when Layla is my age, I'll be 21. "  Oh my goodness, please don't tell me that. She is growing fast enough. :):)
  We had some storms again in the wee hours of the morning. Lost power, for the third time in two days. That is getting to be a big bother. But I know that we were fortunate. Prayers for all that had tornadoes, and severe storms. Thinking of you today. XO

The Weather...

   This is the hail from yesterday morning. It got so dark, I had to use the flash.  This storm was fast moving . Hit when the weather man said and was gone in 20 minutes.  It did clear up later in the day Wednesday.

 This was the sunset after the day of rain and some sunshine.  I love this pretty view. I had a fun day shopping with my daughter.
  Today is a new day of crazy weather. Rained a lot so far. Lost power for about 30 minutes after a few power glitches. I am not setting the clocks till this evening, hopefully the worst will be over.. Flash flood warnings for 38 counties here in Indiana.
  I had some computer problems this morning. the trouble shooting program said it was a cable. I swapped out the phone line...that didn't work . So I just plugged all the cables back in . Then it worked. We used to call these ghost problems at work...when you fix it and just not sure how you fixed it.  Believe me folks, there are times when it's simpler for something to be broke.LOL
   Hope all of you are safe today, the weather is bad in many states. XO

Shopping Day....

   My daughter, Angie and I are planning to spend the morning shopping . This is her school's spring break. She some times goes  to Florida on break, but this year there's a wedding to attend.  I have some Kohl's bucks. Sure wish I had my favorite 30 % off coupons. LOL

 This is where we will have our lunch. We used to always go to Bob Evans, because they served nice lunches. The last two times we have shopped together , we have enjoyed lunch here at McAllisters. I do have a  gift certificate for lunch here. That's a win. 
   Foggy this morning and rain /storms are on their way. I am hoping it doesn't change our plans. I was hoping for a nice day, but I do enjoy any day with any of my daughters.  Hope all of you have a good day . XO

Some Family Pictures.....

  This is Emma. She said she wanted to show me all her Easter ears. Bunny  ears on her head, those crazy rabbit glasses, and her own ears.  I have missed being with this sweet silly girl.

  This is one of the grand dogs, Madison. She was wanting to come in . She had been misbehaving.

  Here's  Emma and Landon hunting Easter eggs.  The patio had not been cleaned up from winter, so there were plenty of places  to hide those plastic eggs.

  Liz, my daughter, holding her granddaughter Layla Rose. She would hold this baby all day if she could. I could see some small changes in the baby, more alert, she may even be a bit heavier. I think we all got to hold her for about ten minutes, then Liz would have her again.
   I am behind reading blogs. I had classmate brunch yesterday. Then was out of town for the afternoon. So I will be catching up today.

Happy Easter...

    These are  the bunnies that Emma made last year around Easter. We used paper plates to make the ears and toilet paper rolls for the faces. We used crayons, craft paints and pens. I have missed crafting with Emma this year, she just hasn't been over much.
   When our grandkids start wanting to take turns spending the night with friends, it all changes. I didn't see her over spring break, because she and her parents went to Murtle Beach.  Hopefully this summer or some weekends she can stay with us.
   Bunnies are fun for Easter, so is egg hunting, candy and new clothes......but we know why there's an Easter.  The Lord Jesus.  May He live in our hearts. Wishing everyone a blessed Easter Sunday. XO

Lilacs.....

  This is the lilac bush that I got the starts from my mom's yard when she passed away. It has some nice buds on it already.  It has bloomed the past two years. I planted the little stick starts  in 2006.
   We had a frost last night, glad it wasn't a super heavy one. Went out this morning to see the partial eclipse of the moon.   I can never get good photos when it's too dark.  That is when I knew it had frosted, the steps were a bit slick. I always use the hand rail because of this possibility.
  Our lawn is greening nicely. I am just not feeling as well as I want to be. I'll have to wait till next week to rake the beds and fences.
    I am going to Liz's tomorrow. I will get to be with my family. I will get to see my granddaughter Emma and also great granddaughter Layla.(new baby in our family). Hope all of you can be with loved ones.  Wishing you a great day today and a better day tomorrow. XO
