The Latest....

This is the snow on Sunday. Here's a nice cold seat.I always try to clear the porch of snow...it was just too much to keep up.
I did get the walk to the shop shoveled. Took 4 shifts. LOL. I do the layering shoveling. Just little scoops of the fluffy snow, not so heavy...more exercise that way also.
Here's Sunday's sunshine.  After all the snow, the skies cleared  somewhat ,and the sun was there for about 5 minutes as the clouds on the horizon were too thick.
This was yesterday (Monday) after ted cleared the drive with the snow blower. He had to do both drives this time.Too much snow for me.
I love the blue skies. Today we have black ice, more ice coming...at noon rain  and it will be above freezing. Hopefully no floods.
Yesterday our family meet at the funeral home to make plans for our brother's funeral. His sons did  fine . They chose the casket, helped with the obit., have his clothes ready. They are 24 and 26.  This was hard for these young men. But I think they did very well. The family was there for them . Which gave them a confidence boost.
It's been an exhausting time. Well it feels that way to me. I am so grateful for my blogging family. You have touched my heart with all your kind words and prayers. I wanted all of you to know, to me you matter. Kindness always matters. XO

  4. Susie,
So glad your nephews had your family around to give them the support they needed to make these final decisions for your brother. May he rest in peace and praying the boys remember all the good memories of their dad as they go through the grief process. Prayers for all of you.
We are getting that same freezing rain and snow mix up here today. Hopefully by the week end we will start to warm up to normal temps for this time of year. It would be nice to see Spring this year. Good thoughts coming your way today.

  8. Oh, what a young age to make arrangements for their dad. Will be keeping them and your family in my prayers as you go through the next few weeks. They are so blessed to have you beside them. I lost mom at 32 and thought that was young, but in the 20s, just wow.
Next week we will in the 50s, its the next couple of days that are going to be hard to get through here. We do have the same weather.

    1. Tete, Losing parents when you are young is difficult...Little ones would be even worse. All of us were grown when we lost mommy and daddy...it still hurts. I guess there's no "Good" age, for anyone. Today feels like a heat wave compared to the past couple weeks....Tomorrow and Friday cold again ...then dear Tete, we may have 40's.:):) That sounds so good to me. xoxo,Susie

  11. I'm sure you are exhausted with the funeral arrangements, Susie. That's never an easy thing. Your snow is so beautiful. It has been sunny here and I can feel that spring in on the way. But I never tire of looking at your snow, it's so amazing.
