The redbud tree s getting it's leaves now. This is a sweet little tree that is at the edge of the shop driveway. Softens the front of the big old shop/garage.
The little woods in the back is greening up, along with the backyard trees. This happened so quickly.
Things are very green in the front yard. Dark green of the pines, a touch of burgundy with the plum bush by the fence.
This is a piece of junk I found in a local junk shop, years ago. It's made of metal and has a great rusty look. It had some aqua and brass when I bought it. We hang it on the shop wall near the pond.
We have had to rework this pond many times. It has a plastic liner now. Duck decoy floats in it. You can click on the pictures to enlarge them.
On the porch, a whole family of pretty faced pansies posing for a picture. Aren't they adorable.
These were facing the wrong way, so I took their picture from above.
This could become a collection of sorts...my blue vehicles. I put the dollar angel with them. They are on the flower cart I bought at Horton's last summer.
This morning is sunny and it's to be a warm day also. I think I may go into to the city park and walk . Since rain is predicted for tomorrow, my daughter has rescheduled our Wolf Park adventure. We will go there,on a day when the sun will shine. So I can get some good pictures. In the mean time, I will meet Karen and Savannah for lunch tomorrow. I better get my flowers for my girls. I usually give them a mother's day gift, for letting me be their mother...you know like I would ever give them a choice. LOL. Those four daughters will be mine till the end of time. I am blessed.
Wishing all of you a great day and love filled weekend. XO

JP, I had a little viola that grew in the snow at the end of Feb. this year. I put it in a pot. The Violas and pansies are very hardy and sweet. Wishing you a great mother's day. xoxo, SusieDelete
That metal piece on the shop wall is ADORABLE! I could look at that kind of art all day. I hope you have a very Happy Mother's Day with your daughters :)ReplyDelete
Hi Karen, When I first bought that wall hanging piece it was not rusty...just old. But I thought it would be perfect by the pond. I have loved it there. Blessings to you for a wonderful mother's day. xoxo, SusieDelete
Have a beautiful and blessed Mother's Day weekend, Susie! Love your little blue vehicles and that piece of 'junk' is really great! Blessings, Cindy xoReplyDelete
Thank you Cindy. I some times call my gray hairs , my mother of the year awards. LOL. I told my girls that gave them to me. LOL. Being a mom sure isn't easy but it makes our love stronger. Blessings to you for a great mother's day. xoxo, SusieDelete

Happy Mothers Day
Thank you BJ. I wish you a happy mother's day also. Hopefully the weather here improves...I'd love to take a walk with my oldest daughter tomorrow. Bless you, xoxo, SusieDelete
Looks like spring is in full bloom in your area, Susie! Love your photos. I should walk around my neighborhood but I'm too lazy. I love your old vintage piece on the wall. Is it an old mill? Just looking at that big wheel. Don't laugh!!ReplyDelete
Happy Mother's Day!
Blondie, I'm not going to laugh at you...that is a little mill with a water wheel on it. The piece had colors on it when I bought it...but I thought I would just let it rust and I love how it looks. Probably seems odd to be hanging that low...but I wanted it by the pond. Our pond need to be de-scaled. Hard water out here. one day I would love a pond with fish. The birds bathe and drink in it. Wishing you a happy mother's day. Get hugs. xoxo, SusieDelete
Happy Mother's Day to you, Susie! Your gardens are so pretty and so tidy. I hope you get good weather soon for that day with your family.ReplyDelete
Thank you Dewena, I wish you a great mother's day too. Today has already rained ...but the temp is 65..warm. The sun keeps giving a little peep here and there. I would love to sit outside on the porch. I hope you are feeling well and having some fun. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
I love your metal wall piece AND your pond! I don't think I have seen that before! I used to have a duck decoy floating in mine, too! It finally got a hole in it from a hailstorm and would no longer float! No one wants to look at a drowning duck decoy!!ReplyDelete
Linda, We used to have two decoys...one flew away , I guess. I love how rusty this metal hanging has become. It's a little grist mill with trees and some ducks and a boat...it's hard to see all that now with it be mostly the same color. Hope things are working again there. Blessings to you and LD, love you guys, xoxo, SusieDelete
Just love all your photo's here ...ReplyDelete
Good wishes for a lovely weekend.
All the best Jan
