Do You Know ????

As you look at the shadow of our redbud tree, you can see that there's something wrong. The leaves are curling and falling off part of it.
I do not think it's draught, as we have had plenty of rain.  I do not see any insects on the leaves or the tree. The bark looks in great shape.
I sure do not want to lose this tree. So can you help me? Anybody?
The roses have surprised me and blooming more. Makes me happy.
The sedum is growing very thick and pretty. Bees and anything that flies and buzzes love it.
The porch flowers are doing well.
This is the best pot ever. One white and one pink petunia and a dusty miller.
Tiger lilies are really looking good.
Little flower pot boy is looking good with his marigold hair and butter bowl head. LOL.
This potted plant seems to have very little dirt, so I water it plenty and it has been pretty for a long time. Well since Mother's day.
These red petunias are doing so well.
Do you see the robins?  Lynzie painted the bottoms of Luke and Max's feet, stamped them on a paper and added beaks and legs to make some robins. She gave me this at the shower. Oh my gosh I totally love it.  I am getting this framed. :):)  I want one of Layla 's foot prints too.
It is hot and heavy here. Pretty skies now . Had some rain this morning, a down pour as Ted and I were in the store.  That made me shop longer. LOL  Ted let me out and picked me up at the door, saying, "No sense in both of us getting wet." Yes, I surely agreed. LOL What a sweet man.
Wishing you all well today. Stay cool. XO

    1. Thank you Sheila, I can wear myself out moving them around and watering. I think when the heat is heavy and the sun so blazing, they should be in shade for a couple hours. I that's what I so. Silly. Blessings, stay cool please. xoxo, Susie

I wish I had a picture of every grandchild's foot prints when they were babies. :) I like looking at my sedum and trying to see what all kind of little buzzing thing is on it. I wish I had broken it up and made two plants now.Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  5. Sometimes chemical "drift" can cause this symptom on trees...if you have a city forester they can maybe give you some ideas...or someone from a local nursery. Good luck with your tree!

    1. Kathie< I did think of that, but I did not see any other tree doing this. No fields in this area has been sprayed. But then I am not home all the time to see. :( I think I may call a nursery and ask, it can't hurt , can it? Blessings to you, stay cool. xoxo, Susie

    1. Kris, The shape of this tree has made me happy..limbs hanging over the curve of the driveway..I do not want to cut it down. But if it dies, I will get a dogwood tree. I think I will call a nursery about it. This heavy and some time heavy rains is wearing me out with the flowers. I move the ones on the porch to the shade ion the day to get them from burning up. We are having the oddest weather. Stay cool there and hydrated. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Jenn, I see the neighbor's fruit trees are losing more and more limbs...he never does anything with them. I have trimmed limbs that were dry and brittle for him. I am going to keep an eye on this tree and do my best to save it. Thank you for coming by. Hope you are not too hot up there. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Thank you Patty. I will try my best to keep this tree. Lots of times you may have to just cut the bad out and hope for the best. The clay pot boy was to have a clay pot head, but it broke and at the time I could not the little pots I have here..so I used the butter bowl :):) It worked. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  11. Maybe the redbud will snap back next year, I hope so. We don't have any of them here but I do love seeing them, especially in the spring.

Those little robins are darling! There's something that really grabs your heart just looking at them. I'd have them framed to!

You have the best looking flowers! You must take excellent care of them.

    1. Cheryl, Thank you so much. I went to this site and read ...I am really going to look that tree over. I sure did learn one things...to sterilize the pruners when trimming...I have always been concerned about keeping them sharp, not clean. I have learned something. Hope you are doing well and enjoying your summertime. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  13. Susie, you really have the hand (or "thumb" as it were), for potted plants! They're all just gorgeous, and I swear those lilies look like they could join the Cirque de Soleil!

And those robins are the cutest things since HAND turkeys! What a fabulous keepsake from your little ones.

    Glad you're savoring Summer!!

  14. I LOVE those little robins! Remember at Christmas when I made the footprint tree for my DIL? Just think it is so cute all the different things you can do with a child's footprint.

That is too bad about your tree-I hope it is not dying. We have one that has been partially dead for 10 years and it hangs over from the neighbor's property along our back line so we can't touch it, of course. One day it will come crashing down on the playhouse, I'm sure.

Your other photos are just great, Susie. Hope you have a great weekend. xo Diana

    1. Diana, I thought of the tree you made with your grandkid's . Layla's mom made a rooster print of Layla's foot for Liz...I ask for one , so hopefully I get one soon. But when Lynzie made the robins I was so touched by that picture. I love those.
I do not know about the tree. I have been really looking it over..it isn't looking good. I raked a twig along the bark and some fell off. Scary. Hope you are getting to relax. Tomorrow, we will have brunch at Angie's to have more time with Sierra before she flies back to Tampa. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
p.s. I miss our little girls. Emma seems to out grown coming over, so sad.

  16. I wanted to say it looks like it needs watering, but you said it's rained, so that can't be the answer. You have such pretty displays of flowers, your garden always looks so inviting.
Can I send you some of our sunshine, were dying on the vine...lol

    1. Jo, To be on the save side, I watered with some miracle grow and I will watch for any new signs of insects ...because I truly have no clue what is happening. We had storms over night and rain this am and then the sunshine came out the rest of the day. I wish the rain could be in moderation for all of us. We have actually had water standing in areas from our rains. Stay cool :):)Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  17. What a cute painting, Susie. You will always have a drawing of Luke and Max's feet to warm your heart. Yes, you should get it framed. The Robin is one of my favorite birds. I sure hope you don't lose that tree. It's nice that you are having a bit of rain still. It's been so hot here lately. Your flower pot boy is creative. Did you think of that yourself or see it somewhere? Those tiger lilies are such a pretty color.

    Have an enjoyable Sunday, Susie.

    1. Hi Sheri, I love the little painting too. That is something you can do when Jess has her baby....make all kinds of wonderful little footprint art. :) I made the flower pot boy and his top pot broke and I could not find my many pots I have here, so I used the butter bowl for a pot.But I did see a bigger version at a café once. Blessings to you honey, Stay cool. xoxo, love, Susie
