This is the first post since getting my computer fixed. Am I satisfied...no, I am not. Once things work, why does windows want to change it. The geeks did not get my usual way of loading pictures back and now to bring one up for a post is even longer than before. But this is my first picture of our cute little Luke. He's is doing well. A big boy for 4 months.
This is big brother Max and his pretty mommy.
Max and cousin Layla swinging in the park. This weekend is the Summer's End Festival in Rossville. There was a kick off parade. Lynzie said Max loved it. He also could hold on to the candy that was passed out. Too funny.
Our mornings have been so cool and sweet here this past week.
A couple of foggy mornings. Our lawn needs a good soaking , so dry and some brown spots. We will get some rain this coming week. Let's all send good thoughts and prayers to the people of Texas. They are getting dumped on by the hurricane Harvey. Far too much rain. They will need help of all kinds there.
Be safe. XO
Glad to see you back, Susie. Computers are great -- when they work. I am going to have to get a new one soon because this is falling apart. Literally. But I have certainly gotten my money's worth out of it. Your great-grands are just adorable! You have a beautiful family. Yes, my thoughts have been with the people in Texas. I have one friend who had to evacuate with her family. They don't know if they still have a home.
ReplyDeleteKathy, Most of my problems are probably my lack of knowledge. LOL. Thank you for the sweet words of my grands. I adore those children. I see you are loving your new family member too. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI'm glad you're back Susie, but irritating that your computer does not perform the way you have been used to. Sweet little grandsons! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteJenn, For older people not raise using computers, they can be a pain. I keep hoping the light will come on for me one day. LOL. Blessings to you and yours. xoxo, Susie
DeleteLuke is a darling Susie...your home looks just glorious as fall peeks around the corner....Max is probably a great big brother...warm hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you Betsy. Lynzie and Mark doing a patting treatment on Luke once a day, for his C.F.. The drs. thought it would be best. He's so happy most all the time. :) Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteComputers.....maybe they are kinda like husbands, "can't live with them, can't live without them" lol!!!
ReplyDeleteBe blessed. Could be worse. Lovely family.
Oh Louise, you made me laugh. Yes, my dear, something very much like that. LOL. I do know that with all my own woes, I am blessed in many others. God is good. Blessings to all at your house, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGlad you're back blogging. Cute family photos. Luke looks great at 4 months old!
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen, I have missed my blog family. I love that the children enjoy all the times with their own children. Life is a joy. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteLook at that big happy smile on Luke! Those brothers are so cute, but why not, with such a beautiful mother!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're back, Susie! Even with new stuff, not very improved stuff, to deal with.
Your cool days look heavenly. Ours have been much better but still have to turn on AC up into the day. And I'm sure not complaining about that, what with all the thousands of people in Texas now without any power at all. Such an ache in my heart when I watch the news video.
Dewena, Thank you for your kind words. I do adore my grandkids and now my 3 greats. Just wish for more time together. I was invited to come to the fest with everyone...but I needed to save my feet for Monday...my daughter is moving from up north to our town for awhile. I will be on my feet helping and I thought it best to stay home. But you know , there are times, it's great to be thought about...to be invited. :) Oh yes, I have been praying for the people of Texas...so much ruin. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThere's sweet happy Luke. I just love seeing pictures of this little guy, Susie. I'm glad you got your computer fixed, but it seems nothing ever stays the original way we had it. When I got a new computer, I lost a lot of my old pictures and had to start all over again. This is a cute picture of Max and mommy. The fog looks so pretty on your lawn, Susie.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a splendid week coming up, dear friend.
love, ~Sheri
Sheri, I just get so used to things being a certain way...it's hard to deal with change...especially when it comes to electronics. I love to get fog pictures when I can. I hope your Jess will take a photo of her baby every month with the number on a slate. I will be visiting and looking over posts I have missed this past week. Tomorrow my daughter Karen, her husband , Ted and I will be moving my daughter Kathy back to Tipton...it will be a long day. We have two trailers, that should help. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteLove your photos!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea with the 4.
Praying for Texas...
Sandi, My granddaughter Lynzie has taken her boys pictures with the slate every month then , it will be every year. I loved that idea...it would make a nice memory book for grandparents. Thanks for the Texas prayers. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI'm so happy you are back up and running! I know what you mean about finding - or TRYING to find - your photos! I spent 3 hours at a dear friend's house this afternoon taking photos o things she wants to sell on eBay and getting them on to her computer and then trying to FIND them so we could do the listings!!! My neck is hurting so much I just want someone to WRING it for me!
ReplyDeleteThen I sit down to do my journal post and my shoulders tighten up so I slathered on a bunch of Ben Gay! I love that smell and it's a good thing I do because it really smells STRONG!!!
I have been watching all the Facebook posts coming out of the coastal areas and it breaks my heart. Continue to pray and I join you. It is awful down there. Mike told Louis Dean that a tornado went right down the street where the RV Park is that we stayed in for 7 months back in 2012-2013 and pulled up telephone poles and did a ton of damage. Hurricane AND tornadoes AND rain, rian, rain. It's awful!
Linda, There should be simplicity programs for us older people who hate change, or just don't have the time to deal with leaning something new at the time. By the time I get these changes down pat, they will interrupt with a re-fresh idea of some kind and I will be off on another time consuming adventure. LOL. Blast. I once told Ted ben-gay can be my new cologne. :):)
DeleteStill praying for all there in Texas...I am totally amazed more evacuations weren't enforced. Clean up will be a long one. Blessings to you and all there, xoxo, Susie
Such precious grandchildren. We are getting some much needed rain today and some unseasonable cool temps. It is making for a nice change. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteLaura, the cooling of temps kind is good. ..I just still want to sit on the porch and enjoy the days. I am so in love with our family's ababies...so sweet to hug and listen to those voices. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteAwe Such cuties :) Have a great week ahead :)
ReplyDeleteHello Summer...missed you. I hope you are doing well. I think once my dental appointment is over this week...I will be brand new. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI know it's frustrating! I'm just glad to see you here and know you are persistent! Love you!
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, I do get hair tearing crazy at times...but I must keep plugging along to get things done. It takes so much longer the older I am. LOL. Hope you do not get left over effects of that darn storm. I just can't believe the damages and heartache of everyone effected so far. Stay safe, my dear friend. Blessings to you , xoxo,Susie
DeleteWhat little cuties! Bet you enjoy spending time with them! It's starting to look and feel a bit like fall here too. We need some rain, but I'm not going to complain about dryness any more, after what the folks in TX have dealt with!
