Saturday's heavy rain. Rained the whole day. Some times very heavy downpours.
Like in this picture out the dining room window...could not see past the backyard.
We had this hard frost one day.
All the leaves are off our trees , except the willow.
The Kokomo firetruck at the Kroger grocery . I saw the firemen coming out of the store and I asked if they were going to cook lunch. Bless their hearts, one said , "yes, we are grilling out today. " :) Love those fellows.
Tonight's sunset. It was a sunny day with blue skies. It got to 52 degrees...but stayed cold all day. I think it was the steady wind , that made it cold.
I like to send Karen a photo of our pretty sunsets and she will send me one from her yard. :)
Look at Luke, he is sitting up by himself. He is going on 7 months...so I guess it's time. LOL.
This is Luke's cousin ,Leo. He is growing already . Looks so sweet. I can not wait to meet him in person. Babies are so adorable. I hope they know they are loved.
Did everyone get all they need for their Thanksgiving dinners? I went to three grocery stores today. I have never been to that many in one day. Crazy. !! We got Ted's meds at one ,along with a big supply of coffee and peanuts. LOL. Then to the Kroger for a great deal on ham and little oranges. Then to Tipton's Needler's (Marsh) for the rest of our groceries. We ate lunch at D.Q. while in town here, before going to our grocery. :)
Wishing all a great rest of the week. XO
Cuties for sure..We had rain all day Saturday as well..Yucky weekend..
ReplyDeleteThose babies steal the show...or the post! So cute! And I'll be at the grocery store tomorrow getting what we need. It will only be the 2 of us but we still like to have a special meal. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteyou had a busy day and my gosh those babies are beautiful!!! The sunset is amazing, I love all that wide open spaces!!
ReplyDeleteLove that rainy deck photo! Makes me feel cozy inside.
ReplyDeleteWent grocery shopping after seeing the doctor. I think I got everything I need, but I'm sure something I need will pop up-probably Thursday morning!
ReplyDeleteI got my turkey, etc. yesterday. We are doing Thanksgiving on Wed night here at our house so that we can have everyone here.
ReplyDeleteMindy took pictures of their street the day you had all that rain. It was about 12" deep and the kids were riding their bicycles in there and it was way up almost over their wheels.
Have a great night- xo Diana
Luke is sitting up all by himself, oh my! Hello baby Leo - how sweet you are. Susie, your sunset pictures are sensational! The skies look like angel wings. The frost on your lawn is pretty. Wow, your trees are bare already! We still have many colorful leaves on ours, but I've noticed they are falling fast and will be bare soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, Susie. I'm so thankful for having such a wonderful blog friend in you.
love, ~Sheri
ps.....I love to see your deck after a rain. It makes me smile. : )
DeleteHave a Happy Thanksgiving, Susie! I am having 14 on Thursday, got to get busy!

DeleteHave a Happy Thanksgiving, Susie! I am having 14 on Thursday, got to get busy!
ReplyDeleteLuke looks very proud of himself, sitting up and being a big boy. And Leo is adorable. Our weather was much like yours. Glad to see the sun again!!
ReplyDeleteKaren, I have yet to meet Leo, as he lives in Ohio. I think with this season of colds and coughs it may be wise to keep babies home safe. We certainly have to worry about that with Luke's cystic fibrosis. Do you think our weather patterns have changed thru the years? I am amazed that a 35 degree day can feel warmer than 50. LOL. Sending hugs to you for this Thanksgiving weekend. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteDear Susie...I so love seeing your home and all that gorgeous farm land....hugs and blessings for a beautiful Thanksgiving gathering.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, That is one reason I like for the crops to be in...I can see so far away. With my binoculars I can see the traffic moving on hwy. 28 , that is 3 miles away. Thank you for the hugs and blessings, you know I'm sending you the very same. Blessings to you and your sweetie, xoxo, Susie
DeleteLuke and Leo are so adorable! I'll be helping my mom cook for Thanksgiving. We started some of the food prep last night with cutting up the vegetables. So many other things to do lol :)
ReplyDeletePilar, That is so sweet of you to be helping your mother with Thanksgiving dinner plans and the work. I know you will have a great time. Hug your mother tight and be thankful for her love.:):) I miss my mommy. I will be holding my daughters and their children close also. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWhat weather you have! Cold, rain, sunny, blue skies and even fog and frost! I do love weather! We don’t seem to have the many varieties you get! Still, I’m sitting up in bed with the door open to the patio and can see the blue sky and hear the birds. I may need to tell Mr. McGregor I can also hear the squirrels over by the gazebo!
ReplyDeleteLouis Dean is cooking the Thanksgiving ham today while I continue to clean house. Tomorrow he makes the dinner rolls!
Love seeing your Little Luke!
Happy Thanksgiving to you, Sweet Susie Q! And to your Teddy Bear!
Linda, I am amazed at the crazy flip flop of our weather this fall. Either above average in temps or below. Nothing normal.
DeleteI know you are going to have a great family Thanksgiving. Lots of love and good foods. Me too. :):) I will get to hold babies hopefully. Blessings and love to all, xoxo, Susie
Oh my gosh, Luke and Leo are just the cutest!! Have a very happy Thanksgiving, Susie!
ReplyDeleteThank you Debbie, I think the boys are cutie pies too. I hope you are doing well and planning a great Thanksgiving day with your loved ones. I am not sure where you are in the mountains, but I thought N.Y. was maybe going to have some snow. Stay safe and warm. Blessings to you honey, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteDebbie, That rainy Saturday was an inside chore day...plus a couple of nice movies later on. I love the sunrises and sunsets. Some just take your breath away. Blessings to you and yours for a happy thanksgiving. xoxo, Susie
DeleteWe've had a lot of rain lately too Susie, but today's weather was lovely. Our November has actually been more pleasant than our October was :) I love seeing your photos in this, and your previous post. Especially the adorable babies!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving sweet friend!
sending hugs...
Sweet June, I saw your new blog of garden photos while I was looking on Horton's blog. You always had the magic green thumb. :):) We have three great grandsons and one great granddaughter. Love each one so much. Please give Landon a big hug for me . I hope you get to be with your family this holiday. Blessings and Love, xoxo, Susie
DeleteOh my goodness..you did get a lot of rain. We had it hear too..as soon as I had the downspout removed. Dahh It should be overwith by now. Your sunset photo are gorgeous! Love those babies..you just want to pick them up and give them lots of hugs.. Sounds like you had a busy day shopping. But nice to eat out isn't it? I miss those times. I will be going to my DIL's mothers for Thanksgiving. I had bought a pie from Perkins as a fundraiser for my neighbors daughter. So, I know that will be good. Might make a salad too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Gert
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Gert, We love all our babies, don't we? I am hoping you have a beautiful thanksgiving with your family. Some times it's nice to eat out, nothing fancy just a sandwich and fries. I know your Perkins pie will be delicious. There's a Perkins south of our town . Blessings to you my sweet friend, I think of our loved who have passed on and miss them so much, especially here at this holiday. xoxo, love, Susie
Deletehi there Susie,so glad you enjoyed the "walks" throughout our Charleston streets! So glad to have you along! Have you ever been here? Wow, those are pretty sunset pictures and oh my goodness that FROST LOOKS SO COLD YET SO PRETTY AND "glisteny"--is glisteny a word? ha ha LOL I like the rain pictures too--I do love rainy days and fog too, as long as I am NOT CAUGHT OUT DRIVING IN IT. Sounds like you got all your grocery-ing done and ready for the holiday. I am so ready to eat turkey and mashed "taters"!!
ReplyDeleteDebbi, My daughter Kathy and I went on a short trip to Charleston once and I have never forgotten it. I feel in love with your city. So much to see and do. History galore. I loved the houses, gates, cemeteries, cobblestone streets.Love it all. Blessings to you for a beautiful thanksgiving. xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteYes, im ready to do some cooking today!
Lisa
Thank you Lisa, I think the babies are precious. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSuch sweet little ones! So fun that Luke is sitting up. Must be a relief for him too. :-) It's been cold here too, although I'm so thankful that we don't have snow on the ground yet. Have a good thanksgiving, Susie!
ReplyDeleteJudy, I love babies so much. I love seeing them learn something and know they learned it. Their faces light up. Yes, I too am happy no snow...but we have been lucky this week too. The sun shined today and suppose to tomorrow. Wishing you a happy thanksgiving day. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteOh Susie, your babies are so sweet! Luke is certainly growing up quickly and I'm pretty sure all your babies know they are loved. I wish we could have a rain like you've had. Sunsets are my favorite pics, but now that Fall has come, I can't see the sunsets out my window anymore. My view is limited because of houses in the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI bet you are busy today getting ready for tomorrow. I hope your Thanksgiving is everything you want it to be!
And finally, I have a special place in my heart for the firefighters!
Nonnie, Some times I feel I am missing it all...they babies growing so quickly. I miss holding them too. So tomorrow I am getting some hugs. :) Blessings to you and DH and all your loved ones, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeen getting that kind of rain here too and I am on the dry side of the mountains in WA. lol Have a great Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen. I wish you a glorious day tomorrow also. The sun is shining for me today and maybe also tomorrow. :):) Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI went to the grocery store on MOnday to get what I needed and it was a mess and they were out of TURKEYS! Ever since Marsh closed here, Kroger cannot keep up. That rain...I drove in that all the way to Merriville! It was awful. Are you going to Horton's on Dec. 2? I hope to go and also Patti Beck's open house is that day. You should try to go to it. Chat later girl! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Thanks for the prayers. XOX!
ReplyDeleteCindy
Cindy, The Needler's who took over our Marsh...don't always have the things Marsh used to carry, or the deals...although I am thrilled we have a grocery here. Blessings to all of you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHope your day was a good one! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!
