Pumpkins / Update....

Remember this huge pumpkin? I think this picture is 2 years old. In the town of Alexandria, a man grows these big pumpkins .
He loads them with a block and tackle onto a trailer. I am not sure where they take them. Look at the watermelons too.
Mums from last year, they are just blooming now.  I have still to get my grandson 's help with my computer, so no new photos.
This is a bit of an up date about Ted. He is getting better, but still in the hospital. He is on oxygen for a few more days.  He has not had fever for about three days now. Eating well and able to get up to go to the restroom. Still getting antibiotics in his IV. Thank you for all the kind prayers and well wishes. Each one has helped us so much.  XO

I wonder how the pumpkins, watermelons, etc. taste when they are grown like that. Do people eat them?

  11. Now that's what I call a big old fat pumpkin! WOW! Glad Ted is doing better Susie. I actually had you come to my mind this morning and said a little prayer. People struggle with believing things like that happen but I believe with all that is me the Lord lays folks on our hearts to lift up and sometimes just out of the blue. Anyway, prayed for you and Ted this morning. I hope the rest of your week goes well for you dear lady. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Thank you so much for your prayers. We are in need even as Ted is getting a tiny bit better. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  17. I am so glad to hear that Ted is doing better. I do hope that you are able to get a little bit more rest yourself. I know it is hard to think about yourself, but Ted needs you healthy as well and you need to take some time for yourself even if you only get it in small carved out sessions of time. You are both in my prayers.
God bless you and your family,

While he has been in the hospital, I have water the lawn where it was aerated by the lawn man, weed whacked and cleaned the little pond..plus you know all the household chores. Prayers for you and Steve always. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  22. I'm glad Ted is feeling better. May God watch over your dear husband, Susie. He has been through so much. You too. Wow, look at that big pumpkin!! That's wonderful that someone grows them, and the watermelons look huge too! My favorite Fall flower is Mums. These pink ones are so pretty. They look like mini Mums.

Autumn is here and loving every minute of it. It's still warm though during the day, but cooler in the mornings. Have a good week, Susie.

Ted told me just now the Dr is letting him come home on Friday. Hooray. I have missed him so much. But I know being in the hospital was the best place while he was going thru some issues of the chemo maintenance. Thank you for thinking of us and always wishing us the best. 28. OH MY GOSH.....that is BIG! I just wonder do you have to use a certain type of pumpkin seed to get one that BIG? Talk about seeds, there would be tons for roasting when the babe is cut open!! Thanks for dropping by the blog and saying hi. Yep, I really wished I had a garage or the space at my home to hold parties like stenciling and paint classes. Instead I will do these things at someones home who host the party for their friends and I bring the supplies, they just pay a fee. Its fun and I can make some money this way but like me, my friends don't have the space either! I have an up coming paint class in a couple of weeks but that is it for now. Like you it does help with stress and helps you to enjoy the company of others which helps to leave the cares of the world behind....for a bit.

  31. Those pumpkins are monstrosities!!! I wonder if the stuff inside is even edible. Would need to borrow a knife from Paul Bunyun to cut through those. Asking God to heal your Ted and give you peace and comfort as you continue to care for him. So very sorry for all the struggles.
