The catalpa tree is in bloom and and losing those big blossoms in the wind. Looks like snow on the ground.
Lilies blooming also. Getting more blooms each year. I told my daughter to come dug some up for her yard.
This little yellow lily came back too. I wish I had more of them. I should dig this one and split it.
Hope all of you are enjoying some good weather. The past two days have been just wonderful. Tomorrow the heat and humidity come back. Ted mowed today, good thing. I may have to weed whack tomorrow, just a bit.
Thank you everyone for your sweet prayers and kind thoughts. My sister Jeanie is doing well. She is adjusting to her new diet, although she is griping about it. It's the sodium watching that is making her upset. She did not realize how much is in our daily foods. She will get used to eating less fats and sodium.
Ted sees his cancer dr. tomorrow , at Riverview. It's closer than Indy. The dr will probably set up his next round of chemo. He had a visit to our family dr yesterday. Got an x-ray and MRI on his shoulder, which has been hurting. I told him he needs to call the bone marrow drs. . He doesn't see them till first week in August. So after he sees the cancer dr. I am calling the IBMT clinic. I think they need to know about his shoulder hurting.
Wishing all of you a safe weekend coming up. Please wear your masks when out and about. Please , it might mean the life of someone you love. XO
I hate to hear of the shoulder problem, but as for you, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the pictures and narrative. NICE!
Prayers your way
Sherry & jack
Thank you so much for the prayers. I worried about Ted shoulder hurting so long. He had over extended it getting one of the bird feeders down to clean...so he just kept thinking that was his problem. But I keep saying he to keep his drs. informed. Blessings to you and Sherry, xoxo, Susie
DeleteA GREAT SPELL CASTER (DR. EMU) THAT HELP ME BRING BACK MY EX GIRLFRIEND.
DeleteAm so happy to testify about a great spell caster that helped me when all hope was lost for me to unite with my ex-girlfriend that I love so much. I had a girlfriend that love me so much but something terrible happen to our relationship one afternoon when her friend that was always trying to get to me was trying to force me to make love to her just because she was been jealous of her friend that i was dating and on the scene my girlfriend just walk in and she thought we had something special doing together, i tried to explain things to her that her friend always do this whenever she is not with me and i always refuse her but i never told her because i did not want the both of them to be enemies to each other but she never believed me. She broke up with me and I tried times without numbers to make her believe me but she never believed me until one day i heard about the DR. EMU and I emailed him and he replied to me so kindly and helped me get back my lovely relationship that was already gone for two months.

Catalpas blooming here to. Very showy. Hope hubby's appt goes well. Janice
ReplyDeleteThank you Janice. Hope you are doing well with your shop. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeletePretty blooms! Thank you for your sweet visit and take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Hi Shelia, Take care where you are and stay safe. I am praying we all can get back to normal by the end of this year. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteMy lilies are finally blooming. I didn't do a big yard thing this year like I have in the past, getting to the nursery was just to trouble some. You are taking such good care of Ted. Men do not seem to be as concerned as we are.
ReplyDeleteNonie, I did not buy plants for my containers this year...I just stuck in fake flowers with the greenery. But the yard plants , come back each year, thank goodness. You are right...too scary getting out to buy things other than food. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBetween the dogs and grandkids, our yard is hardly a showcase. One dog sleeps on a hosta, the other one in the day lillies. I love all of them, so the flowers will just have to understand.
ReplyDeleteHoping Ted's shoulder isn't too serious. It's always somethink, isn't it?
That is funny Jan, dogs sleeping in the flowers. Those are hardy types of plants they will come back. LOL Thank you about Ted's shoulder. We are praying it's just a strain. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYour garden looks lovely! I am glad your sister is doing better. I hope the visits to the doctors go well and and the pain in the shoulder turns out to be nothing serious. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bless. I worry for Ted more than he does himself. I know he hurt his shoulder one day taking a bird feeder down to clean. But gee that was about 2 months ago. Blessings,Stay safe. xoxo, Susie
DeleteThose are beautiful lilies! I might be doing some weed-wacking myself. I hope you and Ted have a restful, happy weekend! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteThank you Jan. I honestly try to stay on top of keeping the weeds down...but this heat has helped them grow. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYes, poor Jeannie will be griping for a while...I would be, too. Hopefully, she'll feel so good that she'll be glad to be a good girl and stay away from the sodium.
ReplyDeleteAlways something in this life to be concerned with. Trusting God with it all is the way to go.
Enjoy the beautiful weather days.
Thank you Vee. My sister soon will wonder why she ever ate bacon. LOL I may have it once a year. She started reading of sodium and that's the shocker ...she never realized how much was in certain foods. I hope and pray you are doing well Vee. I am praying for all of us . Blessings sweet girl, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWe have blooming lilies too. That's something that actually grows without much fuss! Hoping Ted's shoulder pain is nothing big...certainly understandable that it concerns you. We've had a few days of less heat and humidity too. What a nice break!! Wishing you a wonderful Friday, Susie!
ReplyDeleteDoris, I am thrilled the lilies are hardy..I have no time to fuss with plants. LOL I would truly love a full summer of low humidity , days to walk or sit out. Blessings to all of you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGlad your sister is doing well. Yep call on the shoulder thing with Ted. Very important. Hope he is doing ok other than the shoulder hurting. We have had some nice weather but storms moving in tonight. I guess the grass needs that. Love seeing your lilies blooming. Beautiful. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Kris, I worry for Ted. I hate to always be the one barking...know what I mean? LOL Love these pretty days. We are to have rain and actually need some. Just do not want storms. Blessings to you, enjoy your weekend, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI hope Ted finds relieve for his pain soon. Glad your sister is doing better. Loving seeing everyone yards and flowers this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, I always loved seeing the watering cans by your shed in the header pic you had. I have not done much with our flowerbeds or yard...Ted mows and I weed whack. Those good old lilies make me smile and I didn't do a thing. Ted will call his main dr. Monday. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGlad to hear your sister is doing well.
ReplyDeleteLilies are so pretty. I see many of them about to bloom on my walk.
The lilies can grow wild around here in some of the ditches. My daughter Got a couple out of the ditch two years ago and now has some growing in her west flowerbeds. They usually get mowed down if left in the ditches. :) My sister is going to her daughter's this weekend to go over her diet and get a supply of foods to bring back home. I am glad she will see her grandsons.Blessings for wonderful weekend walks, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie, Thank you for the update on your sister and Ted. Praying for both of them and for you. Your flowers are so pretty. I have the yellow lilies like yours (Stella d'oro) and I just love them. Love and prayers, Mildred
ReplyDeleteThank you Mildred for the prayers. We truly appreciate them. I had forgotten the name of the yellow lily, so happy to know it now. They are so pretty and hardy. Hope you are having some good weather. We got a bit of rain last night, needed it. Blessings to you my friend, xoxo, love, Susie
DeleteYES, those flowers are beautiful. My lilies didn't do as well this year as they have in the past. Not sure why. Anyway, enjoy your weekend and we will be thankful that your Sister is doing well and will pray for Ted's doctor visits. HUGS!
ReplyDeleteThank you Theresa for your prayers. They mean so much to us. We just had a big rain, including last night's rains we have had 2 1/2 inches. Needed it. Blessings for a pleasant weekend there. xoxo, Susie
DeleteDear Sweet Susie, you and your Ted are on my heart. Life can be such a challenge at times, but Praise the Lord, He is with us always! I could not make it without that knowledge and the faith that comes along with it.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you. I am praying for your dear husband and your sister . . . stay strong sweet friend.
Connie :)
Thank you for all your kind prayers Connie. They certainly mean a lot to us. I keep you in my daily. My faith has kept me going when I thought..no I can not do this..I have to pray for strength every day. Take care Connie, know you are loved,Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHello Friend,
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for your Ted, sister and family.
The lilies are lovely. They make me smile.
Love, Carla
Thank you Carla. Prayers have power for us. We are thankful for each one. Glad those lilies are tough, I have to time to baby anything here but my Teddy Bear. :):) Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie
DeleteHi, Susie! Love seeing all your pretty flowers! Good to hear that your sister is improving. Also good to hear that Ted is feeling like mowing! Unprecedented times we are in these days! It's vital that everyone wear a mask when out where other people are. That isn't the case here, and we are still following the stay at home policy! Curbside pickup and drive through for bank and prescriptions! Take care, be safe, stay well, wear a mask!
ReplyDeleteNellie, I am wearing my masks faithfully. So is Ted. We use sanitizers in the car and as soon as we get in the house we wash our hands...then I wipe the doorknobs down. Spray when I can. I have cleaned like mad since Ted got the bone marrow transplant last May. Oh gosh, he loves mowing....goood thing, he never taught me to use the mower. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
Deletep.s. miss reading about your good cooking.
hi there Suzie, I stopped in to see how your sister is coming along. That big old tree is lovely and I do love all the big tall lilies...I love them in all colors! We planted orange ones this year and they came up and bloomed great! Next year I hope to have white ones too, and yellow.
ReplyDeleteHi Debbi. Glad you came by. My sister is at her daughter for the weekend. She is getting her foods from a better store than we have and will stock up for her healthy meals. We have had those lilies a few years. Thank goodness they are a hardy plant...no time to pamper any plants. Blessings, stay safe, xoxo, Susie
DeleteAfter my heart attack I had to stop sodium, certain fats & caffeine. It's a difficult road to travel but once you get used to it all "bad" foods and additives don't sit well now.
ReplyDeleteLove your flowers & ALL goes well. Nice to visit and meet another blogger. (Humid? Sorry, I had to laugh...living on the coast of Texas it's like a steam bath here in Summer)
Hi, Thanks for coming by. I think my sister will do okay once she makes up her mind. She's at her daughter's this weekend. Getting foods ready to make healthy meals. I don't think she's ever read a label on food her whole life. I am glad she's going to do it.
DeleteI know the first time I heard someone say, "oh it's a dry heat" I said a hundred degrees is hot all the time. Yes, I whine about the heat, I hate winter any more. But I don't like to sweat either. LOL. Stay cool young lady, Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Susie, I've never seen orange lilies before. I had a bunch of yellow ones in my front yard at our old house, but your orange ones are so pretty. I bet Ted enjoys getting out there and mowing again. I'm sorry his shoulder has been hurting him. I'm glad to hear Jeanie is doing better. You are such a good sister and wife, Susie.....and a good friend to us all.
ReplyDeletelove you, blog sister. Take care of yourself.
~Sheri
Thank you Sheri. I want to be a good person. I always pray God will make me the woman he wants me to be. I know it's a big job. LOL
DeleteTed did love mowing right before the rains came in . we have had about 3 inches so far in two days. Those3 orange lilies grow in the ditches around here. My daughter dug some up for her flowerbeds. The farmers mow them down most times. Hope you are having a good weekend. Blessings to you sweet girl. xoxo, love you too, Susie
you take such good care of ted, he is very lucky to have you!!!
ReplyDeletei have pieces of plants from a lot of peoples gardens, i share mine as well!! it is such a fun way to garden!! have a great week susie, be healthy, be happy!!
Thank you Debbie. I have to keep watching Ted...we have come a long ways to not be safe now. But I do not want to take needless chances with his health.
DeleteI love getting and giving free starts from plants. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Hi Susie :) Your flowers are beautiful. We are in full hot summer here with hopes for rain this weekend, as there is a drought currently! Nothing we can't handle though.
ReplyDeleteYour life is still crazy busy with doctor visits...when does your husband stop the chemo?
Oh Rain, I wish we knew the chemo story. The cancer dr says he need 12 treatments, like once a month for a year. but they have spaced the chemo put because of low lab counts and it's seems forever. They want the bone marrow to be as close to being the donors as it can get. It's 98.3 the last count.
DeleteWe had rain on and off for 3 days and got 2 inches. Hope you get rain soon. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
You lilies are gorgeous! I think the tiny yellow one is a Stella De Ora my mama loved them. I have one left don't know what happened to the rest they've died off over the years.
ReplyDeleteThat heart diet is horrible I don't know it would be so hard for be to do without the things but guess it has to be done.
I hope all will be doing better soon.
Stay safe sweet friend.
Dolly
Thank you so much. I am praying for my family and for our world. We all need some powerful help to get thru this pandemic.
DeleteYes, that is a Stella De Ora. I wish I had many more. That's why I need to dig it and spread it around. LOL. Blessings, stay safe. xoxo, Susie
I hope Ted's appointment went well, and you're both feeling okay. I'm out and about in the neighborhood, but need to start making medical appointments, which will extend the little bubble I've been living in. Actually makes me a little anxious. Take good care! xoxo
ReplyDeleteCarol, Ted appt was canceled and set uo for this Thurs. i know what you mean about wanting to journey a bit farther...but still trying to stay safe. My dental appt have just kept me on edge. Everything canceled at the start of covid is now trying to reschedule and it's shaky in some areas. I will still wear a mask till there's a vaccine .Blessings, take care, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie. I hope the appointments with the cancer doctor went well. I will be looking for an update on that. Yes, we are wearing masks here. We are having a spike in cases - setting new records almost every day. Lots of people still don't want to wear masks. Personally, I don't get it. I love the flowers in your yard. I hope your weekend was good. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you Deb. Ted's appt was moved to this Thursday. :( We will always have to wear masks till a vaccine is found. Our age is against us and Ted health issues are way to risky. Be safe there , please. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGlad your sister is doing well Susie and so sorry about Ted's shoulder. Bless his heart. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteCindy, I visit your blog , but do not get to leave comments. I loved seeing the big family photo. MY sis is doing well and learning more each day. No word on Ted's shoulder yet. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI promise to wear my mask and I appreciate your reminder.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie Junebug
Thank you Janie. It's a big bother wearing them at times. But I think of family. wear them mostly for my hubby's sake...his health issues are risky. I know I would never want to risk my family's health. Blessing to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThanks for visiting my blog today! Please know that you and your hubby are in my prayers. Thanks for keeping us posted. Be safe & well!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Terri. I am grateful for your prayers. I hope you are doing well also. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and leaving your sweet comment. I just can't believe that June is almost over! Hope you have a lovely 4th!
ReplyDeleteThank you Carrie. Seems June went by fast. And already July. Our summer will be gone quickly and I want it to last . We will not have our annual family reunion on the Fourth, which is sad for us. Stay safe there, Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWhat beautiful orange lilies! I'm glad to hear your sister is doing better. That's too bad about Ted's shoulder. Sending prayers, and good vibes!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pilar. You are so kind and we are thankful for your prayers. :) I wish I could get a photo of my friend's house..she live at the edge of town...her whole yard has a fence of orange lilies. Very pretty. Take care and stay safe. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHello dear friend, I always love a visit from you! I have been terrible at blogging. Hope to get better! I sure do pray that your hubby will get good news. I'm still getting chemo every two weeks. Luckily, it doesn't make me sick. Wishing joy and happiness to your sister. I'm sure that she is thankful for you!!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Hi Jann, Good to hear from you. Ted gets chemo every month or 5 weeks...it takes his energy away after about a week of getting it. Then when his energy comes back it's time for chemo. Praying for good results soon. You are in my thoughts and prayers often. My grandson that lived in Utah is now in Seattle working from home thankfully. Please stay safe and may God bless you , xoxo, love, Susie
