I have three bird church houses. Ted says a wren was staying in one. Although I saw wrens going to that area, I never once saw one go into the houses. LOL Talk about noisy birds. Of course if they were nesting in one , they would be upset with us using the garden hose, it's near this spot.
I still think the wren was nesting in the Japanese maple.. It's been so hot here in central Indiana, the birds are staying in the trees . We have two water features and two bird baths for the birds to bath and drink.
Ted saw the nurse practitioner last Thursday, they set up his chemo for this week. He is getting his last day for this round, today. He will have a phone visit from his heart dr. tomorrow. He is feeling ok, other than his shoulder. We have finally heard from the dr who did the x-ray, MRI, and CT scan. He has turned the tests to another dr. Ted will be hearing from the sports dr. Can any one do a job any more? Yikes the run around certainly gets old. Why would any dr ordered x-rays and such, if he is going to send you to another dr. ,cause you know they like their own x-rays.
We saw all four daughters and their husbands on the 4th. Ted and I wore masks and spaced out. We did have a little over 2 hours that included eating and visiting fun. Did us both so much good.
Take care, the virus is spreading again. So frightening. I sure do not see how school will start up....some one needs to find a vaccine and soon. XO
I'm happy to hear that you two got to spend time with family for the 4th. Prayers continue for you both. That's so frustrating for one dr. to order the xrays only to send you to another dr. I love your little bird houses. I have enjoyed watching blue birds raise their babies twice this year. God bless. xoxo
ReplyDeleteHi Mildred, We had bluebirds this also. But those noisy little wrens have been plentiful. We have laughed about them so much.
DeleteWe love the drs and nurses so much and put our faith in them and it seems to come down to money in the long run. You know when you go to the other drs, they want their own x-rays and tests too. Blessings to you dear friend, stay safe , xoxo, love, Susie
A GREAT SPELL CASTER (DR. EMU) THAT HELP ME BRING BACK MY EX GIRLFRIEND.
DeleteAm so happy to testify about a great spell caster that helped me when all hope was lost for me to unite with my ex-girlfriend that I love so much. I had a girlfriend that love me so much but something terrible happen to our relationship one afternoon when her friend that was always trying to get to me was trying to force me to make love to her just because she was been jealous of her friend that i was dating and on the scene my girlfriend just walk in and she thought we had something special doing together, i tried to explain things to her that her friend always do this whenever she is not with me and i always refuse her but i never told her because i did not want the both of them to be enemies to each other but she never believed me. She broke up with me and I tried times without numbers to make her believe me but she never believed me until one day i heard about the DR. EMU and I emailed him and he replied to me so kindly and helped me get back my lovely relationship that was already gone for two months.

wrens are especially noisy birds...i think they like your churches as much as i do!! water is just as important to the birds as food is, i keep all of my bird baths full and even refresh the water during the day if it is really hot!!
ReplyDeletei am sending some positive thoughts for ted, hoping he is feeling well, he is lucky to have you!!! nice you got to see your family!!
Thank you Debbie. I miss holding my girls in my arms. They are my greatest gift. We are always close and I love that.
DeleteI paint my little bird churches and they need some new paint now. LOL Too hot to be out long. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
i like those churches, just the way they are...a little worn and weathered. my best to ted!!!
DeleteI'm not a big proponent of home schooling but if I had a child in school, I would be doing that next year. I don't see how they can make it work. Even at the college age, given the behavior I've seen of college age kids this summer.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to the whole one-doc-sends-you-on thing. I hope all is resolved soon!
Jeanie, I was kind of shocked about the college craziness...not like a bunch of smart kids. I am all for a clinic that has every kind of dr. you go in and keep going thru till they get you fixed, all in one place. LOL Blessings, stay safe. xoxo, Susie
DeleteSo glad that you both got to spend time with your precious family. What a blessing. Even with social distancing. Praying for you and Ted dear Susie. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much Cindy. I am grateful for every prayer and well wish. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie, thanks for stopping by. I just saw a little wren fly into my bird house today....oh my, all this time I thought there was a vacancy sign on the house!!! Lol! Nice to see there are new renters. Reminds me to check the water pond where the birds like to drink out of and replenish the bird feeders. Wish I could keep the squirrel away. I tried some hot sauce and water and soap and sprayed the houses....did not work. I think it kept the birds away, but not the squirrel. Glad you got to see your family. Doctors....everyone wants a share and you have to do the foot work. Things will work out...praying here.
ReplyDeleteThank you Louise. I am thankful for your prayers. Ted did well this week. He is hoping to hear from the sports clinic...they will probably want to do PT...you know.
DeleteI tried hot sauce and I think it tasted good to the squirrels cause they chewed part of the steps. Yikes. I try to keep water in the baths. The water features are a pond and a barrel with pumps. Blessings to you, take care honey. xoxo, Susie
So glad you got to be with your family. It's awfully hot here and humid too. Keeping you both in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteHi Jan. Thank you for the prayers, we are grateful. Truly. Ted did well this week getting his chemo. He does 3 days. Oh I long for a cure for this virus so we can all be family again. I pray for our world. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYay for seeing your family...all four daughters and sons-in-law. Of course, it was good for you. As for doctors, don't get me started. Ha!
ReplyDeleteVee, I thought there might be a "don't get me started" club out there. LOL My head spins from some of the craziness.
DeleteI enjoyed being with family, even with no hugging . It's lonely without our loved ones near. Blessings to you sweet girl, stay safe. xoxo, Susie
Those bird houses are cute! I can't put up anything for birds here, because of the garden cats. Birds still visit the garden, though, and, occasionally, I find the evidence that a cat got one of them!
ReplyDeleteI have seen feathers around here at times. No cats any more as the coyotes got most that were barn cats. So it's the hawks catching birds. Take care and stay safe, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSo important that we have some time with our families. I don't think I could get by without it. Good luck with the doctors. They are difficult to deal with at the best of times. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, It was so good to be the our kids, even for a short time. Oh yes, the dr situation is crazy. Ted did well getting his chemo this week. He gets 3 day treatments . Blessings to you and yours, stay safe. xoxo, Susie
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI am happy you had time to visit family. I agree, too many doctors, tests and going this way and that. I also agree about school.. all of this is so difficult. I continue to pray the virus will go away!I was in hopes the hot weather would kill it.
Carla, I think your son will be out there a long time helping because of Covid. It's spreading again. Why won't people wear a simple mask. We do our part . I miss my family from distancing, while others party....that stinks. Blessings to you , stay safe, xoxo, love, Susie
DeleteI used to have a bird church! So sweet that the wrens are so protective of their lovely churches! I have a pineapple birdhouse and birds have not decided it's desirable. I sure wouldn't mind living in a pineapple house. LOL! Take care sweet Susie!
ReplyDeleteHaha Pom Pom, you made me laugh. A pineapple is a symbol of hospitality , the wrens should love it. Blessings to you and yours, take care, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi, Susie! We have bluebirds nesting in the gourd we had hoped would attract purple martins. No special birdhouses here, but we do have a bird feeder that keeps us busy filling it up! xoxo Nellie
ReplyDeleteHi Nellie, I like purple martins, they eat a ton of mosquitoes. The wrens usually take over the bluebird houses, but the bluebirds got them this year...so the wrens must go to church. :):) Ted and I have laughed many times over the noise those tiny birds can make. Blessings to you, stay safe, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThank you Laurie. It is always good to hear of someone who won the cancer battle. I pray Ted will soon. He got his chemo and it is a three day treatment. Not sure how many more he will need .
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Laurie, the family time was the best. I have found myself crying from sheer loneliness , I miss my family that much. I pray there will be vaccine soon, so we can all be safe. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, love you, Susie
NICE bird houses.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to spend time with your family.
Thank you. I did enjoy our daughters and their hubbies. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie ~ Oh the year that Don was in and out of the hospital and doctors offices is so tiring. I know it is exhausting for you. Now we get the telephone call appts. And sometimes if Don needs bloodwork they will send a home nurse.
ReplyDeleteWe continue to pray for you and Ted and I know your routine, plus the Cov19 is just crazy. God is getting our attention. So glad this world is not our home, we're just a passing through.
How wonderful you got to have the 4th with your loved ones.Love and Hugs.
Thank you Wanda. It was a great day with the kids..even though it was short compared to the old days. :) Oh Ted's drs appts have dwindled some but still crazy . Blessings you and Don, stay safe, xoxo, love, Susie
DeleteIt is so great that you got to spend the holiday with your kids! I pray daily for a vaccine and an end to this. Thanks for keep us posted on Ted. Keeping you both in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Terri. We are grateful for prayers and well wishes. People are so kind. We did love our family time, even without hugs and kisses. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGlad you guys had some together time, that is very important. AND of course I agree completely.."???" why can't one dr. do more than one thing? It does feel like a run around, I have found dentist do the exact thing.
ReplyDeleteThe best to Ted (and you of course) as time progresses.
Sherry & jack sending love your way!
Thank you Sherry and Jack for good wishes. Hope you are having a safe time as well. Our bit of family time was helpful for our spirits. My dr. Mom degree is as good as some real drs. LOL Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeletePS I love the bird houses...
ReplyDeleteIf a wren was in one , as Ted thought, it would be the first time. LOL Susie
DeleteI love the birdhouses. Birds should have the right to attend church.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Haha, you are right Janie. I fell in love with those little churches, I have had them for many years. I just keep painting them. Hope you are well and having some pleasant weather. It's hot here. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteNo pleasant weather, I'm afraid. It's a typical Florida summer.
DeleteSo glad that Ted is doing OK. Sounds like you had a nice July 4. So glad you could get together with family. I love the birdhouses. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you Deb. Hope all is well there. Ted did get thru this round of chemo, it last 3 days now instead of 5. Our time with the family was like a big hug , even though we did not hug and kiss anyone. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeletePrayers continue for Ted and the doctors to help him! Those little birdhouses are SO cute. I can hear the birds tweeting outside right now:) It is nice to be with family, social distancing these days is just how we have to live. Praying for this virus to LEAVE us all alone!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!
Thank you Theresa. We appreciate all prayers and good wishes. It truly helps us. Ted got his round of chemo over for this month...it was 3 days. Family time was the best thing, we needed it.
DeleteYes, you probably can hear those noisy wrens . LOL. Blessings to you and yours, stay safe, xoxo,Susie
It's a pleasure to find you again Susie. Thank you so much for commenting on the mask issue. And I understand the chemo ordeal. My oldest has been going through that for a long time. I have an "unasked for" suggestion though, Susie. I followed my own suggestions I might add. One, there is usually an oncological case worker (has nothing to do with finances...just patient care and treatment in the hospital etc) that would be a benefit to you in presenting your concerns and getting answers. Ask in the oncology office who is their oncology case worker and make an appointment. I would also think about asking the Dr. why they are ordering x-rays if another has done the same. A valid question, and doesn't hurt to help prevent abuse of the insurance company. All the very very best to you and the family.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Ted got his chemo. Talked with the oncology N.P. He sees the dr of oncology every month . Oh we do question every x-ray , ct scan , etc. Prayers for your child. Ted had his bone marrow transplant 14 months ago. He had two killer round of chemo before that. Now his chemo is called maintenance chemo. His "who's who" has to stay regular for some time before his chemo stops. hopefully it's soon. Blessings to you Katie, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYour little bird houses are so cute! I sure hope some birds use them. Glad you had a chance to get together with your family. My chance is coming soon with my sister's birthday cookout. I have not seen her since Christmas and can't wait.
ReplyDeleteKathy, I truly understand about not seeing your sister since Christmas. Being outside will be saver than indoors. Easier to space apart too. It was so good for us to be around the children.
DeleteBlessings to you and Joe, xoxo, Susie
I love your little house. Wrens are favorite of mine too. The have beautiful song to sing. Glad you could visit with family before we get shut down again with all the increases of virus, I'm afraid that might happen again.
ReplyDeleteI fear a bigger shut down, if our leaders are smart. I am happy for the small time I had with my daughters. I miss the grands and great grands. Please stay safe. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie. Glad you got to spend time with family. We thought our little wrens were back too, but they just came for one day and then we don't see them any more. This virus is nothing to take for granted, that is for sure. They couldn't seem to handle going back to work, what makes them think that opening schools will be OK. What a joke..Stay well.xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteJudy, I just am about nuts worrying for our world. I want the children safe. I am like you...let people go back to work then see if the kids can go to school. I pray for us all. Blessings to you and the Captain. xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, it's wonderful that you saw all your daughters on the 4th. Those little bird houses are so cute. How fun to see the birds visit them often. It's nice that you have two birdbaths for them. It's been so hot here too - just staying inside and keeping cool. I'm so sorry Ted and you are getting the run around with the doctors. That's frustrating for sure. I'm glad he is feeling Ok. Take care of yourself in this heat, Susie. July is always a hot one.
ReplyDeletelove ya,
~Sheri
Hi Sheri, So good to hear from you. I hope you are having some time with your daughters too. I sure had missed being around mine. The way the virus is, I am not sure when we will have another chance. I am thankful for any time with family. ed is doing well, had chemo this week, talked with his heart dr. But will be happy to have a dr. help him with his painful shoulder.
DeleteThe heat has drop from 90's to the 80's and a breeze today. LOL. But we don't do much when it this hot. Blessings to you and yours my sweet friend, xoxo, love, Susie
We so miss family time. What is getting scary around here is the mask thing. for some reason it seems to give people the permission to be rude.
ReplyDeleteWe have delt with Dr. run around, not fun when it is so serious. Love and stay safe.
Thank you Nonie. I am going to call that sport group if they don't call Ted on Monday...it's too long for them to not have contacted Ted by now. Yikes. How do they make a living no returning calls or getting in touch. Oh course the Virus has put everything on the back burner. Honey will we ever see the end of this Virus? It's scary. We all better be thankful for any family time. I had not been around my girls much since Christmas. I did see them one at a time on the porch, since the virus. So to hear them laughing and talking...it was music to my heart. Blessings to you and yours, stay safe. xoxo, Susie
DeleteI adore bird houses and these are especially cute Susie! The world continues to deal with this horrible pandemic...I have almost forgotten what it's like to go out to dinner or even shop at the grocery!
ReplyDeleteOh I have to shop our local store and I almost panic when I see so many now without masks. So I try to shop the off hours. I pray we can have a vaccine soon, I feel that will be our only way of getting thru this . I filled the feeders today. Put fresh water in the birdbaths.. got to take care of our song birds. Blessings to you, stay safe, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYour bird houses are sweet. Will pray you and Ted to get some answers soon and that God will keep you both safe. Glad you were able to be with family on the 4th.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind and encouraging comment on my blog. It means a lot.
Love, hugs and prayers ~ FlowerLady
Honey, we all need to know that someone cares...and it's hard at this time since we can't be with our families. I feel the best thing we can all do is pray for each other and be kind. I felt sad thinking of you not feeling good and missing your husband. Sending hugs and love to you. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGlad you had a nice Visit with the 4 Daughters, Dr. are strange, I have one who does not like sending me for X-Rays as he said I had too many. We have a pair of Wrens, they have had the first brood, now restacking the nest and cleaning it out, they are fun to watch, they nested in a Gourd, The other Gourd had Sparrows in it and we have 5 new sparrows from that one and the Blue Bird House resulted in the Sparrows giving us another 4 sparrows ! I had my Covid - 19 test this morning for Thursday's surgery ! You take care, love and Blessings being sent your way, Ted and You are on our Prayer Chain ! Gary
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Gary. All prayers are welcome here. We are so grateful for each one. I will have you in my prayers and your wife. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSuch pretty birdhouses, we have had a few make nests on our porch this year, they certainly do make messes.
ReplyDeleteContinued prayers for Ted, I agree there seems to be a lack of responsibility of jobs getting done these days! I think it is all about the money.
Have a great weekend.
Blessings,
Sue
Sue, I truly believe it's the money also. I think the more tests drs can order for their hospitals the better they fair. Wen Ted was getting chemo the first two rounds, one dr told him you have better and more insurance than 90 percent of our patients. There would be drs. we did not know and tests every time one lady came. I ask the case worker to give me a list of the drs that came and went in Ted's room and I never saw that lady again. LOL. Thank you so much for your prayers we really appreciate them. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie! :)) Your birdhouses are beautiful! I need to find time to make some. We have some nice birds in this area! Regarding the bad luck...I kind of know how you're feeling and I'm going a little nutty myself. I'm hoping things even out a little, we got a little good luck lately with the bank and the people we met...let's hope we BOTH get on a good luck streak! xx
ReplyDeleteRain, I am praying for all of us. I told my husband about what you went thru. He just could not believe it. Says you deserve a break. After I wrote you...I went to the basement and did some programming to the water softener and got it going again. It has been a bit iffy. Then I worked on the sump pit. I hate that dang thing. :( But I feel better knowing I can do some things. LOL Blessings to you , xoxo, Susie
DeleteChemo? I am so sorry; what kind of cancer does he have? Wrens are one of my favorite birds, and your yard looks like a bird paradise!
ReplyDeleteGinny, Ted had a diagnoses of Acute Myeloid Leukemia Nov 2018. Had two chemo treatments, that kept him in the hospital for a whole month at a time. Those almost killed him. Then he had a bone marrow transplant May of 2019. We did not know he would need maintenance chemo every month for a year. Then they say till the bone marrow shows up a steady reading for a year. Well he was 98.3 percent donor his last "who's who". That's where they take a test to see how much of Ted's bone marrow is the donor's. They would like 100% but most stay in the high 90's. The chemo dose is lower and not as strong as when he first got them. Ted will see the bone marrow drs the first week of August. His last appt there was in May...so they spaced his appts 3 months apart. It's been a long journey. So many sweet prayers for so many kind hearts has helped us thru. I hope this helps, it's been an education for me Ginny. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThat's wonderful you spent time with your family Susie! I don't see how school is going to start soon either. Cases of Covid-19 are steadily increasing here in South Carolina. It's scary. I continue to pray for a vaccine.
ReplyDeletePilar, I just read Debbi's Front Porch...she showed people in groups and no one wearing masks and big signs saying they are required in Charleston. It's going to go into next year at this rate, please honey take care of yourself and your mom, wear your masks. Blessings, xoxo, love,Susie
DeleteHi, Hope things are going OK ! Keeping you all in my Prayers !
