These pictures are from an old file of spring days, a few years back. When I would decorate the dining table.
Love the pink blossoms . I do have a small crabapple here and a just beginning lilac bush. Pray I see blooms on it one day.
I don't know how your weather has been , ours has been warm, almost hot and today it's cold. Waiting for mother's day to plant some things here. I have mowed twice and weed whacked twice. Used the leaf blower to clear the walks and garage floor. I have painted a handrail on the back porch. Before all that, I had picked up enough sticks to make a new tree. That reminds me to get that yard trash to the alley for the city crew to haul away. They take it to recycle and turn it all into mulch. Much of which is used in our city park.
Hope all of you are doing well and looking forward to nicer days to be outdoors. I have had birthday gatherings, bingo, yard work and music group to keep me busy. Since I joined the American Legion, I have many new things in my life. I am in charge of sending out the birthday cards to the ladies of the Auxiliary. I like adding a line or two of good wishes.
Take care and hold your loved ones tight. XO
You sound happy and busy! I love that! I love YOU!
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring! Love the pink blossom!
ReplyDeleteSusie, it is always good to see you post. I'm delighted to hear that you are getting on with life and enjoy each day and season. You're a very special lady, God bless you.
ReplyDeleteYour blogging sister, Connie :)
I need to decorate my table, but my husband keeps it cluttered. I am ready for warmer weather too.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a warm spring here in Texas, Some days have seemed almost like summer! Today it is raining and cooled down to the 70's,. Spring showers in May here !
ReplyDeleteSusie!! How lovely to see you and all that PINK so bright this morning. It's coolish down here, as well but SUNNY and all the green is taking over.
ReplyDeleteI love your majolica cabbage---all the lovely shapes and colors for dishes over the years have made dining or plain old LUNCH great fun with all the variety, just from folks imaginations.
It's wonderful to hear that you are wrapped up in so many activities and friends---I'm smiling to think of you sitting there with your pen, writing a little note to accompany the birthday cards. Remember that post on here and mine on LAWN TEA when we both said, "I STILL WRITE," and were so happy to find a kindred spirit still using a fountain pen to correspond.
Happy Mothers' Day, sweet neighbor and friend, and many hugs and smiles to you and all your family. rachel
