It's Been Some Time.....

These are old pictures of my pansies. My daughter has all yellow at her house. The house is blue so it works great.
Any time I ever do purple or shades of lavender, I always think of my mother. That was her all time favorite color. I recall a time she wanted me to hem a pair of purple slacks for her. Daddy said she only has 15 other pairs of purple slacks. LOL. Oh how I miss that crazy arguing couple. They could put on a better show than any Friday Night at the Fights. Scary when I was young, but just made me stronger.
All the beauty of flowering trees , just doesn't seem to last long enough, when coming out of winter. But seeing it gives us a promise of nicer days. Honestly our weather and the weather patterns seem out of whack. Hot , cold, rains and frost. Then when the sun shines , the winds are wild.

Hoping we all can enjoy the rest of Spring. Help each other when you can , I think we all need one another whether we like it or not. XOXO

    1. I truly think my mother loved purple because the house she ended up buying had irises and lilacs in the yard. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Brenda, I guess Florida's weather was rough this year. I kind of feel it's whacky all over the states. Welcome back home. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  7. Don't you just LOVE their friendly little faces!!? That first one, in my sidebar thumbnail---I took that to be a snobby little kitty-face, with her eyelashes curled and all ready for a party.

It's wonderful to see you appear, every time, and I LOVE pansies---they're so delicate but so comical sometimes.

  11. Oh Susie, how good to see you on your blog. Love pansies. These are beautiful. Had to laugh at the purple pants. One time looking in my closet my girls said, Mom, your close are boring. Cream, beige, white, ect. My sister loves RED. To each their own, I guess. I do love pastels. Glad to see you in blogland. I'm blogging again after a break for some needed surgery. Love and Hugs Wanda

    1. Wanda, Hope you are fully recovered. I used to have lots of beige and black things in my closet. But I also had a closet of pretty things for cruise wear. Ted had some nice dinner jackets too.Oh the life we once had. Trips, travels, and fun. Take care my sweet friend, Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  13. I LOVE seeing you here on your blog again!!! You are such a blessing to me. Louis Dean remembers you when I say, "You know! She's the one who thinks you're sexy when you bake or wash dishes!" Then he always laughs so loud! I was thinking of you today when I dusted a shelf that holds the little wood box your Teddy Bear made. My heart still aches when I think of you without him. You are a strong lady and I love you dearly!! And, yes, I do hold Louis Dean a little tighter now.

    1. Linda, I think we were meant to be sisters. I still go to music fellowship. It's the only time I will cook something big. I got my big crockpot back from my daughter and she said Mom keep it , you enjoy cooking for others. A man at music asked me if my name was Susie, I said yes it is. He said , can I call you Susie Q? My mind went straight to thoughts of you and LD. I said it would be okay, but if he was cute he could call me Often!!! Just a joke, he liked it. I am grateful for Friends and music fellowship. Glad you are holding LD tight. Love you both so much. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
