Sunsets....

 Going through some of my files. So I thought I would post some of my sunsets photos. I love sunsets and sunrises.

 The winter sun sets in the wsw , it seems.

 As the sun hits the horizon it will cast colors on the clouds and I love that.

This is a summer sunset for me. I have to take it through trees. We had sunshine yesterday. It was still brisk out. Today the sun is shining again. I am loving it. Tomorrow the rains are coming in.
 The farmers have been busy in their fields , trying to get the crops in before too much rain. My neighbor man and his uncle have been combining  corn and hauling it to the elevators. We have Cargill's, the Co-op, and Pioneer. They take care of the harvest here.

Brr, It's Chilly...

 This is one of the center pieces I had last year. I still have all these pieces, just rearranged them this year. It's been cold and gloomy in our area.

Sort of like the sun wants me to know it's still there. LOL. Today it is shining. I am so happy to see it after these past 4 days, or more.  I will get my camera out today for some photos.  Even though I am still doing about a half dozen steps to load, find and post those photos.  I am still very unhappy with this computer set up. I am sick of even thinking of it too. So I do the many steps to get what I want from it and get dropped off line at times...what aggravation.
   Many festivals going on in our state right now. The Covered Bridge Festival of Parke County is happening this weekend. Lots of beautifully restored bridges.  I am not attending, as the dr. told me to not over do my foot that I mildly sprained on my trip to Utah, last month. I do miss going to some of these festivals. I truly miss the old days with my daughters when we went to Brown County State Park. Those were some fun times.
  Hope all of you are having a fun autumn weekend . Going to ball games, festivals, flea markets, or just out to eat with family. It will be a memory one day.  XO

Colors Make It Autumn.....

  I am crazy for  this bright orange truck.  A lot of love and money goes into restoring or customizing trucks and cars.

 This is an old delivery truck . It's been parked a few times at our local Marsh grocery store. Love those white wall tires.

 My own little pumpkin décor. I love the smaller ones, easier to break up for the squirrels after the fall decorating in over.

 This is one of my favorite trees in town.  Doesn't it look like a big gumdrop?  I love all the beautiful fall colors, but red and orange is probably my all time favorite choice.
  Today is chilly but not  cold, hoping it doesn't rain again. I need some sunshine.  Wishing all of you a wonderful day. XO

Fall Displays....

   Sorry, I am showing so many of last years' fall photos. I just have not been out to get any new shots lately. These are from Hortons. So glad Karen lets me take so many.

 Aren't these jingle pumpkins cute? I did not see any this year.

  We could all paint our  baskets to look like this. So adorable.

 This is a close up, although blurry, of a bumble bee on my sedum plant. All flying things love this plant. It must  be sweet.
  Went out this morning to watch the eclipse of the blood moon. It was wonderful and it was cold out.
I am still amazed at the natural beauty of the  stars , moon and the sun. Aren't we blessed?  Enjoy this great day. XO

More Fall Pictures....

 I really like this wreath. Chubby little owl just makes it so special. Spotted this at a Horton's last year.

 Some of the trees in the park. I love our park so much. I like it best in spring and fall.

 This is one of the downtown parking lots and this picture is from last year also.

 Some corn harvesting from last year. Since it rained the past two days , on and off , the harvesting is on hold for now.

This is the field across the road, this year it is soybeans. Most fields are rotated from corn to beans  and visa versa. Some times a few of the farmers around here will bale the corn stubble. It makes bedding for animals and they can chew on it also.
 No I am not a farmer. I always wanted to be outstanding in my field...but not that way. LOL.  I wish all the farmers well this year. Seems like a good crop year in these parts.

Autumn Colors....

 You know you have to have pumpkin orange. This is from a time I went to an apple orchard  west of Kokomo.

 Here are some of the apple choices. My daughter got some apples from an orchard near her house and they were much better than these.

 This is the wreath on our front door. I got this for a dollar at a sale once. Wish I had some more of these nice fake things...they last ! LOL

  The is a tree in town on one of my walks. I just love seeing trees that seem to have the perfect color.

I love this tree also. This morning is cooler, or should I say colder than yesterday. It's 40 degrees this morning. Ted turned the furnace on, saying he was just too cold. I am not ready to have the heat on. I love not using heat or AC.....don't you. I love the windows open and sweet breezes. Too much of a breeze this morning.

Saturday Morning Chills....

 This morning it's 45 degrees....it feels very chilly. So a nice warm cup of coffee is hitting the spot.

 Yes, it's harvest time in our area. Some soybeans and corn have been  harvested lately. One nearby field has already been plowed for next spring.

 Trees are turning , and losing leaves with the rain and wind we have had the past two days. So I'd say we are well into autumn. Just hoping there's no early winter.

 I love this scene out our dining room window.  I have noticed a slow down in the birds coming around. It's time to bring in the hummingbird feeders.

I love seeing all the pretty colors of fall. The flowers and trees. Hope all of you are enjoying the beauty also.  May need a sweater for going out. XO
