More Spring Like...

This is how the sunset looked thru the back woods. I love all those pretty colors.
Our lilies are starting to push up. Wow, it won't be long till we actually have spring.  The days are getting warmer this week. The wind can have a chill to it , still. Hope all of you are getting some sunshine and nicer days. We have cleaned some of our flowerbeds out . We sure need to bring in some mulch. Getting ready for the spring and summer season is a lot of work at times. Ted will be rolling the lawn this Thursday.
Wishing everyone a fun start to this week. XO

  1. Good morning Susie. I'm glad that your lilies are coming up. It's still to cold around here for any flowers but I've seen a little of robins outside. Today I took my Cameo( Bumble Bee ) out for a drive. It's been in the garage over the winter. Have a wonderful Monday. See ya.

    1. Hello Paul, That sounds like more fun that cleaning flowerbeds. :):) I think you live farther north than we do. You know when the sun can shine for a few days and the temps get around 60...things start greening up. I love robins, they are a sign of spring here. We had one lone robin who came a bit early, he sat in the crabapple tree and ate the little pea sized apples till they were gone. Wishing you a great new week, with sunshine. xoxo,Susie
p.s. Bee is looking good, isn't she?

    1. Hi Diana, I hope we don't get a frost...I hate when things look so good then it frosts and kills the greenery. Seems my hands get colder than they used to from cleaning the yard. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  15. Hi Susie, I've been pruning some Russian Sage bushes this week-so much work; they are pretty when they bloom but so aggressive. Since you raised 4 girls, you know the noise level of giggling etc we will have here Friday night.
We have had some really warm days but snow is expected tomorrow-so I'll be covering up my plants and bulbs. We never count it as spring until mid-May.

    1. Cheryl, If I drive by a nasty yard...it makes me crazy. I do not understand why people let their yards go. When I can't do it any more, I will hire someone.....or just start cutting back on things to plant. Blessings for Easter, xoxo, susie

  18. Good morning Susie,
We have some green popping through the ground too. I'm sure ready for it. I need some fresh, new life and pretty colors to look forward to. I'm sitting in bed trying to get caught up on blogs while my Shug sleeps. I sure didn't think my post about us meeting was only going to be up such a short time with such devastating news to follow. I think you need to come over for a visit sometime and see our place. We hope to move upstairs this summer! Have a Happy Easter if I don't chat with you before then.
