Horton's Fall Market & Earth Festival......

There are so many things going on here in our 1st weekend of Autumn.  Horton's in Tipton is having their autumn market and 5 miles down the road in the little town of Atlanta, Indiana , the earth day festival is taking place.
These pictures are from Horton's. I will not be walking the festival. My feet just can't take it today.
I am going to Horton's though. This will be after I go to the BMV to get my plates. I hate this process.Hopefully I will be the only one there. LOL
Cindy Bee from Bee Lady of Hillside Farms will be coming to Horton's this afternoon.
I am is hopes of seeing her. Also I will try to get my daughter to go to Horton's with me.  I know that some things at the store are for displays only...but I am going to ask about that windmill blade. I love that thing.
Thank you everyone for your wonderful prayers. My brother Tom had his surgery yesterday morning. He had six by passes. Two were to go around his stented areas, as they were clogged.  Please take care of yourselves everyone. Blessings. XO

  2. Oh Susie, I love your blog and everything you have to say.....why do you think I come over here all the time and leave comments? hehehe. There are a few blog friends who I have to watch everything I say to. You are not one of them. I feel like I can talk freely when I'm talking with you, and I appreciate that too because I can't be any other way than myself. I wouldn't change anything on your blog, it's just right because it's sincere, and I have considered you to be one of my dear blog friends as well.

An Earth Day festival, how interesting. Love those little angels from Horton's, and the 'live simiply' hand towel is right up my alley. I do hope Tom heals from his surgery quickly.

Susie, you are one of the ones who always leaves comments, and for that, I am so very grateful.

Have a peaceful Sunday, dear. I will be praying for Tom.

    love,~Sheri

    1. Sheri, I think you and I have a dear friendship. We seem to enjoy each other's blog very much. I also enjoy reading when your daughters post too. Thank you for the prayers for my brother Tom. I should post on all my brothers and sisters...but that would be an epic saga. Blessings, love you, Susie

  3. Hi Susie,
Glad to hear your brother Tom is doing better and is now on the road to recovery. I love Horton's and am so jealous I do not live close enough to visit there. I hope you can get your windmill. That is awesome.

    1. Kris, That was so stressful. I think it was more so because of losing one brother in Feb. and our youngest sister having a stoke this summer. I think all our poor nutrition from childhood and worse habits in our young adult lives is starting to take it toll on our health. I will be keeping all posted about Tom recovery. I knew you want to come to Horton's and I always think of you when I go. That windmill top was gone when I got there. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  6. Thank God that your brother came successfully through this complicated surgery! I'll continue to pray for his recovery process. And I do hope you got those plates without too much waiting in line. Because it is so much more fun to go to a place like Horton's -- I've never seen one but you sure do make it sound like a place I'd love to visit.

A beautiful weekend to you, sweet Susie,

    1. Dewena, Thank you for thinking of my brother. I am glad he's going to be like new. I got to the BMV and can you even begin to believe this, they gave me a discount from the state for the over charges of the past two years. Not a huge amount 8 dollars..but omg, I was happy about that. I did get some nice things at Horton's too. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  7. I think you know by now how envious I am that you get to Horton's so much!! I can imagine the ideas you get for decorating without even spening a dime.

Sending much love and good thoughts towards the problems you are having with your feet. And I'm happy to hear your brother is getting well. I'll keep you both in my prayers.

    1. Blondie, I wish everyone could go with me to Horton's. :):) You are so right, it's a good place to pick up ideas. I think I hurt my ankle this week shopping with my sister. But as far as walking the festival..it totally breaks my heart. My girls and I would meet at my oldest house then we would spend the day at the festival, eating , buying, laughing mostly. Now I can't go with them and it feels so sad . Plus they are even finding it hard to be together..Tomorrow two of them will go, at least. Thank you so much for the prayers, you are so kind. It means a lot to me. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  10. Hi Susie,

Well I did not see you. Waaa...... We were late getting there. My cousin, Vickie, and I spent the night with my sister the night before. We never get up and going early when we do that. I bought a bracelet from the vendor outside and that was it. Lot's of pretty stuff though. And I did go to Atlanta. I haven't been in over 20 years. They seemed to have changed from crafts to flea market. Kind of makes me sad. I used to have a craft booth there and we had to send pictures of our items that we were going to sell and get voted in. It was quite a process.

    1. Cindy, I agree about the Earth Fest...same with Shipshewana. The first time I saw stuff from China there...I thought those Amish crafters should have tarred and feathered those people. But some tried to justify it by saying they have to sell so much junk to be able to pay for booth space.Really. Next year let's synchronize our watches for Horton's. LOL. I went twice thinking I would see you there. Missed you. Blessings , xoxo,Susie
