Good Old Wednesday....
Thanks to all of you for your kind understanding comments yesterday, on my dental problems. I don't know why, when I am writing things on my blog, I think I am the only one with such problems. Turns out many of you have gone or are going thru similar situations. You have my sympathy, for I am scared when I go to the dentist. My dentist told me I should have never have watched the old movie, "Marathon Man" . It starred Dustin Hoffman and Lawrence Oliver.
Today may be a trip to the grocery. I really do not enjoy food shopping. But there's many things needed here at the old homestead. It's been over two weeks since I major shopped.
You all know it's time to be thinking of gathering up all those tax prep papers. Talk about pain, that's another one. LOL. It's not paying taxes so much, as it's the filing of the returns. I think I had an illusion of retirement being cool drinks on a beach somewhere, for the rest of our lives. Hmm?
Enjoy your day. XO

Tax time is coming....ReplyDelete
Don't even want to think about it, but it rolls around this time of the year....each year.
Sending warm hugs,
Hi Jackie, I honestly try to keep everything together that we need for tax returns..but there seems to always be some paper that needs to be found . I have always paid more...then I get a small return..so it's not like I am going to have to pay the government. Happy about that. :):) Blessings to you, xoxo,SusieDelete
You are always so sweet to write replies....and I love that. Thank you for the extra time and effort it takes.Delete
Have a beautiful week and weekend.
Susie, What a gorgeous sky! John and I laugh that we keep thinking we'll get all our appts. tests etc. out of the way and be able to sit back and eat bon bons!!! lol Has not happened yet!ReplyDelete
Grocery shopping is not much fun especially in cold weather. Like you say, at least it is not raining. Take care.
Mildred, There just seems to be no ends to drs. , dentists, running to pay those hospital bills when they come in. I just refuse to do bill paying on line.I am so old school, I am prehistoric.LOL Today was good to go to the store...not freezing as I put things in the car and then brought them in the house. Blessings to you and your hubby, xoxo,SusieDelete
That is a beautiful sky! No rain in the forecast? Excellent. Life is filled with stuff that we'd just as soon forget about if we only could. Grocery shopping...another thing that needs doing around here.ReplyDelete
Vee, If young kids would hire out to do Shopping, or filling up the gas tank, things like that...they'd be making some money. LOL. I got all the things I needed and they are put away too. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
Good Morning Susie, You have a beautiful sunrise. The rain and mix will probably come your way. It has been that way this morning here and 2 degrees above freezing. I am staying home today. I have groceries in the house so I have everything that I need at the present time. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.ReplyDelete
Shirley, You are right, on the weather it showed it coming from your area. Some rain, thankfully not like last time. I always have plenty of canned things and boxed stuff...it's the fresh things, milk, eggs, that I needed. Got that and huge thing of detergent to do more laundry. There's just Ted and I ...but laundry looks like an army lives here. LOL. Be safe my friend, Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
Gorgeous sunrise... Congratulations on your new grandlittle. How blessed we are to have new lives in our lives.ReplyDelete
Pat, Babies used to make me crazy...when they were my siblings and I had to help all the time. But now they are mine(ours) and I love them to pieces. LOL. I never get to hug them enough, they live over an hour away...their parents work. You know how that goes. But I just love holding them. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
Beautiful sunrise! I love to grocery shop! I'll come and do it for you.:-) -xo NellieReplyDelete
Nellie, Please don't laugh...but when I was a young married and never got to go anywhere..truly..I would dress real nice to grocery shop. Like it was a fun time out. LOL Go ahead laugh, I have to laugh at myself. I did get to the store and hauled home plenty for a while longer. LOL. I was in need of detergent..always have laundry..two people and clothes enough for an army. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
We have had such beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The color is just amazing. Yeah, someone else that doesn't like to grocery shop. Me, me. My husband does a lot of it. But there are things that are too complicated to explain. I don't do Walmart. I went back to my old store that was closer to where I used to live. It was just wonderful, hah, my husband laughed when I told him. I need food too. Thinking of an aldi's run. Our Aldis is never crowded. I don't like crowds. I used to have quite the haul when I shopped getting everything in the house. Now it is a breeze. Going out in the cold, isn't hah.ReplyDelete
Debby, My pal. LOL. Oh I just hate dealing with the store not having a sack boy..I will not sack for them..if they want me to, then give me a discount. Those self checks at Walmart..oh no not for me. That just helps them to not hire someone. I guess I should not complain so much. LOL. I do shop our local store unless we are out of town for other things. Thanking of you, Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
Gorgeous Shot! Hope your teeth feel better!ReplyDelete
Japolina, My teeth hurt last night and a bit this morning. Now they seem a little better...I think one is sensitive and the probing just made it hurt. I am a total chicken when it comes to tooth pain. LOL. Hope you and your family are doing well. Blessings for all of you this new year. xoxo,SusieDelete
Susie, I keep searching for a way to make tax work pleasant each January--move a desk in front of the TV and put movies on, put a potted purple hyacinth on the desk, a stack of chocolate bars beside me? Hmm, think I might try those this year!ReplyDelete
Now dental work to face? At least we have gorgeous sunrises some January mornings and yours is a beauty.
A blessed new year to you and yours,
Dewena, We may need a relaxing cd playing. I am going to listen to my Teddy Bear complain...he knows the secret...pay in more and get a little back. :):) I am hoping my dental appt. goes easy.. One this month and one next month. I am getting a new crown. Blessings to you and yours for a very happy healthy new year. xoxo,SusieDelete
Beautiful sunrise for sure..I don't like going to the grocery store..costs too much...Taxes!! Yikes..Love your illusion..I think most of us have had that one..Enjoy your evening..ReplyDelete
Missy, You are certainly right about food prices. Some of them are shocking. I can see why people are getting their own chickens. LOL. 4 dollar a dozen eggs. !! Reality has a way of bursting our bubbles. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo,SusieDelete
Dear Susie, I love your photos! I missed your dental problem, but I'm always stressed when I go to the dentist(I didn't watch that movie either). Hope your issue is over; we all understand and many are walking through the same issues-so feel free to share.ReplyDelete
Noreen, I did watch that movie. Oliver is a dentist that drills Hoffman's teeth as torture. YIKES. I never wish things on people, you know...cause that can come back to haunt you. So I would never ever wish dental work. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo,SusieDelete
I feel about tax time the same way I do about a toothache, so much pain my whole body aches! Ugh.ReplyDelete
Bonnie, I have gone and counted the days till spring. I needed something to look forward to, besides taxes and dentists. I hope I can do well with both those things. LOL Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
Susie, beautiful sunset. Doctor and dentist appointments are not a favorite of mine and don't even get me started on taxes. Yes, welcome to retirement..Happy New Year..JudyReplyDelete
Judy, It's just always something. I remember Rosanna Danna saying that on SNL many years ago. So true. Blessings to all, xoxo,SusieDelete
I love seeing your sunrises!! Here at the ranch we see some really beautiful sunsets but the sunrises aren't that magical. Not sure why and it may be that I just haven't seen that many!!! Haha!!ReplyDelete
linda, Winter sunrises are the ones I can get a look at. I can get better sunsets , because it's more open to the west of us. I hope you get to enjoy some wonderful sunsets there on the ranch. Blessings to all, love you, SusieDelete
Thank you, and thanks so much for visiting. Bless you, xoxo,SusieDelete
Your sunrises are just gorgeous. Don't you love love the colors? Sorry about your dental problems. I certainly understand. I've spent half my life in the dentist's chair and I hang on the the armrests like there's no tomorrow! Thanks for popping in to see me.ReplyDelete
Be a sweetie,
Shelia, I can get nervous if I hear the drill running while I am waiting. LOL These nice mornings have been so great. I love seeing the sun come up and I have always enjoyed the sunsets where we live. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
That's a beautiful sunrise picture. I always find that my worries are greater than the reality. Whatever you end up deciding about your tooth, it won't be nearly as bad as you imagine! -JennReplyDelete
Thank you so much Jenn. I know you are right about worries. I am very good at facing things and praying on them , then handing them to God....it's just for some reason , I fear dental work.LOL Bless you, xoxo,SusieDelete
Beautiful sunrise photos Suzie! I've started pulling my tax papers together, for me, that's the worst part, just making sure I have everything in order! May you enjoy the presence of the Lord this week. Blessings, CindyReplyDelete
Thank you Cindy. You are right about getting the papers together...I try to look at last year's return to see what all I'll need for the new taxes. I have seen the Lord in my sunrises and sunsets. I talk with Him all the time.:) Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, SusieDelete
Beautiful sunrise! It's cold, raining and very dull on the south coast of England this morning, so I will be crafting all day xReplyDelete
Hello Rosa Lily, Stay warm there. We have just had some of the warmest weather for Dec2015 and now starting off 2016 has been good too. The rain is moving in and will be turn colder this weekend. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo,SusieDelete
I have quickly found out that retirement is not sitting around on a beach. Your sunrise is so gorgeous! I think I'm going to the front door and see what mine is looking like this morning.ReplyDelete
Kathy, I will tell you this ...if you can take a nice cruise with Joe....do it. It's well worth the money. But in the mean time, enjoy every day as best as you can. Blessings, xoxo,SusieDelete
Red sky at night, sailor's delight.ReplyDelete
Red sky in morning, sailors take warning.
Now get going... Head to the beach. Go on a cruise, get in a car and head south! Toes in the sand my friend. Just return before April 15 and you'll be fine!
Susie, these sunrises are as awesome as the sunsets you see! Wow, your skies are really a gift to look at. This is really beautiful. I don't like going to the dentist either, Susie, no fun for sure. :(ReplyDelete
