Good Old Wednesday....

Look what a glorious sunrise.  Almost makes one think of that red sky at morning warning for sailors. Today is starting off so nicely. A bit of frost and chilly.
I love this bright yellow in the sky.  Yes, it was frosty and cold...but hey it's going to be in the 40's for the next few days . Possibly rain this evening and tomorrow.  Who would not love a day like this?.
Thanks to all of you for your kind understanding  comments yesterday, on my dental problems.  I don't know why, when I am writing things on my blog, I think I am the only one with such problems.  Turns out many of you have gone or are going thru similar situations. You have my sympathy, for I am scared when I go to the dentist. My dentist told me I should have never have watched the old movie, "Marathon Man" . It starred Dustin Hoffman and Lawrence Oliver.
Today may be a trip to the grocery. I really do not enjoy food shopping. But there's many things needed here at the old homestead.  It's been over two weeks since I major shopped.
You all know it's time to be thinking of gathering up all those tax prep papers. Talk about pain, that's  another one. LOL. It's not paying taxes so much, as it's the filing of the returns.  I think I had an illusion of retirement being cool drinks on a beach somewhere, for the rest of our lives. Hmm?
   Enjoy your day. XO

    Sigh.

    1. Hi Jackie, I honestly try to keep everything together that we need for tax returns..but there seems to always be some paper that needs to be found . I have always paid more...then I get a small return..so it's not like I am going to have to pay the government. Happy about that. :):) Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

Grocery shopping is not much fun especially in cold weather. Like you say, at least it is not raining. Take care.

  3. That is a beautiful sky! No rain in the forecast? Excellent. Life is filled with stuff that we'd just as soon forget about if we only could. Grocery shopping...another thing that needs doing around here.

  4. Good Morning Susie, You have a beautiful sunrise. The rain and mix will probably come your way. It has been that way this morning here and 2 degrees above freezing. I am staying home today. I have groceries in the house so I have everything that I need at the present time. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

    1. Shirley, You are right, on the weather it showed it coming from your area. Some rain, thankfully not like last time. I always have plenty of canned things and boxed stuff...it's the fresh things, milk, eggs, that I needed. Got that and huge thing of detergent to do more laundry. There's just Ted and I ...but laundry looks like an army lives here. LOL. Be safe my friend, Blessings, xoxo,Susie

I never get to hug them enough, they live over an hour away...their parents work. You know how that goes. But I just love holding them. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  7. We have had such beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The color is just amazing. Yeah, someone else that doesn't like to grocery shop. Me, me. My husband does a lot of it. But there are things that are too complicated to explain. I don't do Walmart. I went back to my old store that was closer to where I used to live. It was just wonderful, hah, my husband laughed when I told him. I need food too. Thinking of an aldi's run. Our Aldis is never crowded. I don't like crowds. I used to have quite the haul when I shopped getting everything in the house. Now it is a breeze. Going out in the cold, isn't hah.

    1. Debby, My pal. LOL. Oh I just hate dealing with the store not having a sack boy..I will not sack for them..if they want me to, then give me a discount. Those self checks at Walmart..oh no not for me. That just helps them to not hire someone. I guess I should not complain so much. LOL. I do shop our local store unless we are out of town for other things. Thanking of you, Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  9. Susie, I keep searching for a way to make tax work pleasant each January--move a desk in front of the TV and put movies on, put a potted purple hyacinth on the desk, a stack of chocolate bars beside me? Hmm, think I might try those this year!

Now dental work to face? At least we have gorgeous sunrises some January mornings and yours is a beauty.

A blessed new year to you and yours,

  11. Dear Susie, I love your photos! I missed your dental problem, but I'm always stressed when I go to the dentist(I didn't watch that movie either). Hope your issue is over; we all understand and many are walking through the same issues-so feel free to share.

Red sky in morning, sailors take warning.
Now get going... Head to the beach. Go on a cruise, get in a car and head south! Toes in the sand my friend. Just return before April 15 and you'll be fine!
