This is just to show we are cold here. No big snow like so many are having in our country. The wind cleared spots.
The sun has been shining. It can lift your spirits but it is not making anything warm. I am amazed at the how far south the cold and snows have gone.
This is who I would like for you to say some prayers to help. My big brother , George. This is him and his family of girls. He is waiting in the hospital for his meds to leave his system(Plavix). He will be having a 3 way by pass. George is a good husband and father. Served 28 years in the U.S. army. Heart disease runs in our family. Mom had open heart surgery many years ago. Two brothers have had some by passes. Now our big brother. Thank you for your kind prayers.
This is my daughter Liz and old Sam, the dog. She had him at the vets. yesterday morning at 7:00 a.m. . He had his surgery and the vet thinks it was a tumor formed from a tooth that never grew thru his gum when he was younger. The vet said he should be fine....but then there that biopsy to see yet. Thank you to all who prayed for our pet. He got to come home..but was somewhat loopy then. I will know more later today.
I feel as if we are always praying...what about our nation? Why? I have been thinking of and praying for those caught in that terrible shooting at the airport. Will you please send good thoughts their way? Be safe . XO
Just said a prayer for your brother, Susie...and his family! Sometimes NOT being the patient is worse than being the one with the problem...it is so scary to watch those we love suffer.ReplyDelete
That shooting was so awful in FL. Just hard to believe that he checked that gun through and then went into the bathroom and loaded it once he had landed. You wonder where/when/how it is all going to end. I hope we get some big changes in the next few weeks, months, and years.
Have a good weekend and stay warm. xo Diana
Thank you Diana, for the prayers. I don't think ammo should be allowed to travel. Ever. I am praying for some well thought out changes in our government. Blessings to you, I know it's cold there also. 72 days till spring. something like that. xoxo, SusieDelete
There is always so much to pray for, especially with the way our world is today. Praying for your brother that all goes well with him.ReplyDelete
Thank you Kathy...that means so much to me. I am praying for our leaders to help get some good rules and regulations in place. So scary to travel...any where , even in our own country. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Just saw that one of those killed in Fort Lauderdale airport was a grandmother from Cobb County, Georgia...praying for her family and for all those who lost loved ones.ReplyDelete
Praying for your brother, George and his family also.
Dear Susie, take care and be careful walking on that snow! x
Kay, it's a sad place when we can't travel in peace in our own country. Thank you for the prayers. I walk like Tim Conway when I am in the snow. LOL. I just scoot my feet. Bless you honey, xoxo, SusieDelete
I am glad to hear Sam the dog came through surgery well. Your brother will be fine. If there is one thing that modern medicine does well, it's hearts. I think they have all the stints and bypasses and valves down to a fine art now. My thoughts are with you, him, and his family. -JennReplyDelete
Thank you Jenn. When our mother had her surgery, her specialist said they can do a heart surgery as easy as taking out an appendix. That was 30 years ago. I feel that George is where he needs to be at this time. I am going to do a post on how he got to this point. Blessings, xoxo, stay warm , SusieDelete
Prayers for your Brother and for you and your family. I hope and pray that many blessings come your way.ReplyDelete
Thank you Sissie. I know there is great power in prayer and the more people praying the better I like it. Who among us doesn't need it? There seems to be something we all need help on. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Well, Susie, our sweet Father in Heaven has told us to pray constantly. We do, as you said, have so many things to pray about.ReplyDelete
Prayers for your brother. Heart trouble runs in my family, too....
BJ, thank you for the prayers...when I was younger, my prayers were different...wisdom does come with age..thank goodness. I have learned to pray for everyone. I truly believe in it's power. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Prayer needs are great and without end. I pray your brother has successful bypass surgery, and I pray for the safety of our President Elect. Your prayers for me and my sons are requested as we miss my husband who died in November.ReplyDelete
I am so sorry about your loss. I will absolutely pray for you and your sons. I too pray for our leaders and even other leaders in other countries. We need them all to work together and help all people. I am glad my brother is where he is right now..he needs to be where he is being watched. Blessings to you Terra. xoxo, SusieDelete
it's wonderful that we live in a time when, if the problem is caught, things can be fixed. One of John's friends, same age as John, was found in his own yard. He did not have diagnosed heart trouble, but his older brothers did so they are benefitting from intervention and our friend is in Glory. Guess that is an intervention of another sort.ReplyDelete
I kind of grinned at the thought of a loopy dog. Glad that all is well. Stay warm out there!
Vee, I know my brother follows his drs. orders...prevention is a great thing, but even then things get missed. My brother will do well , with all the prayers and love.Delete
Sam the dog is so much better after one . Prayers helped him too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Hi dear Susie ~ Will be in prayer for your brother, as I understand that quite well. My dearest had 5 bypasses 20 years ago, a stent several years later, and a few year ago a pacemaker. Heart problems in his family too. Maybe were not as fortunate as Don. He lived, and they said the bypasses could last 10 yrs and it's been 20. Don is one of the few people in the world that is allergic to plavix and had to wear the med. alert braclet.ReplyDelete
Oh my heart breaks for those in the shooting and the families of the fallen.
Glad Sam is doing better, hoping for complete healing, and no bad biopsy. Hugs.
opps, I said "maybe" and I meant "many" of Don's brothers and nephews died of heart attacks.Delete
Hi Dear Friend, i'm so sorry about your brother and know he's in my prayers and all of you for that matter. This cold is something else. It's expected to be down to 5 above here tonight and I can only imagine how cold it is for you all. Stay warm and take care. I'll be checking back in to find out about your brother. Blessings and lots of Love, xoReplyDelete
Thank you so much Susie. I am amazed it's cold where you live. This is going to be a tough winter I guess. The holiday weather wasn't bad here..road were clear and I was ever so thankful for that. I am at the age where I do not like being too hot and I can't take cold. LOL Blessings to you and yours. xoxo, SusieDelete
Prayers for your brother George and family. He will do well. Hugs too!ReplyDelete
Thank you Ann. I am glad George is in the hospital waiting, not at home. They can keep a good eye on him. I am sure his surgery will do well. It's a worry, even though we know God is taking charge. Blessings to you. Be safe. xoxo, SusieDelete
Joining you in prayer, Susie...xoxoReplyDelete
Thank you Linda. We need to pray for each other every day. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Saying a prayer for your brother, George, Susie. And so glad Sam came through his surgery too. What a cute picture of him and Liz. At first I thought that was you! Do people tell you that you look alike? Your snow is so pretty. Guess what? It snowed in Georgia where Nel lives right now, and she said the schools are closed. It's not a big snow, but enough to make the roads slippery. You can see some of her snow pics on Wed.ReplyDelete
Susie, I hope your brother will be ok. I know how close you are to your family. Sending loving thoughts and comfort, dear friend.
Sheri, Thank you for your prayers. My brother is in the best place to be while waiting for his surgery. Everyone's prayers have helped old Sam. Liz was just sending me a text saying Sam has been resting today and not whining . He actually ate well too. I bet Nel never thought she'd see snow in Georgia. I have been thinking of you and worried about all the rains coming to your state. I fear too much rain more that winds or snows. Please stay safe .Use caution at all times. Blessings to all of you. Love you sweet girl, xoxo, SusieDelete
I am praying too my friend. I hope this is a good night for all those in need of God's loving kindness. sweet hugs, DianeReplyDelete
Diane, Thank you so much. When I am praying I ask God to give extra hugs to those suffering. Doesn't it seem more and more need those extra hugs. My family is a big family, so there is always something going on with relatives and the families. My brother is safe right there in the hospital. I think he will feel brand new once those blockages are opened. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, SusieDelete
I have just said a prayer for your brother, Susie. It seems I am in almost continual prayer these days with so much going on. The shooting was horrific and my heart goes out to the victim's families and those injured. The world has changed so much and I often wonder if we'll ever feel really safe again. I pray so.ReplyDelete
It's bitterly cold here, too. We've only had a wee bit of snow, though.
Take care and have a nice Sunday!
Thank you Cheryl, for the prayers for my big brother. It is becoming a scary world. So many people wanting to harm others. So much sadness too. We have to keep praying for everyone. It's is frigid here too. Blessings, stay warm, xoxo, SusieDelete
Sending prayers and hugs for your brother. How very scary this can be. Also, it sounds like Sam IS going tobe fine...what good news. Snowy winter days are here Susie. I so hope all goes well for you and your family.ReplyDelete
Thank you for the prayers and hugs for my brother. He's in a safe place awaiting his surgery. I think the prayers helped Sam. Liz said he did better today..no crying. That almost made me cry, thinking of that dog crying. I am amazed you had snow. It's cold there too. So are we. Thank you for the good wishes. blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Good evening Susie, you and your family (brother and pet) are in my prayers. As for the shooting . . . it breaks my heart. What's wrong with people like this? There is way too much hate in this world.ReplyDelete
Hi Connie, Thank you so very much for the prayers. It means so much to my family and me. Good has to out do bad...so those of who care, must do more , I guess. I never thought of things like this when I was young and growing up. Blessings to you , xoxo, SusieDelete
Yup Susie, prayers are always needed in this world for sure! I will certainly pray for your brother, George. Certainly has been cold here. I am thinking warm thoughts and dreaming of spring. :) Glad the pooch is doing okay!ReplyDelete
Thank you Jann. My brother is a good man and will have his surgery this morning (Mon). It will be a long surgery and it will be 4 way by pass now. Yes, it's good that Sam the dog is doing better. Blessings to you and your family. xoxo, SusieDelete
Praying for your loved ones, Susie - hoping all goes well with your brother's surgery and the pup's biopsy results. xoxoReplyDelete
Thank you honey. We got word George did well. That is such a relief. Hope you are safe and warm. We are in for rain, snow and ice...whatever, I guess. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, SusieDelete
Oh Susie that is GREAT news about Sam...praying his tests are clear!! It is true, you know, that old dogs are the best teachers!!!...:)JPReplyDelete
JP, I am thrilled about Sam's good results from surgery. Liz says he is crying..knowing he was crying just hurt my heart. Blessings to you and your pets, xoxo, SusieDelete
hope everything is good there. xoxoReplyDelete
BJ, it's hard to get information at times. I finally called my niece to see if she heard any news. My brother is doing well except for breathing right...they kept him on the ventilator all night. I hope they get his breathing regulated soon. Thanks for asking BJ. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
