Broadway & Country Roads....

Our granddaughter Savannah on Wednesday night going to see the Broadway show ,Stomp. I think she looks ready for society. :)
This is Thursday night and she is going to see Wicked.  I am looking forward to getting together with her and talking about her fun trip to NYC.  Her choir class and chaperones, have had a busy time , touring , eating out ,and enjoying  New York City.
This morning a light fog was hanging over the corn fields and roads.
As the sun was coming up, I just had to get some photos.  I love the gold of the sky when the sun shines  thru the trees.
The fog outlining the corn. I am sure they will be picking the corn soon.  Some times as the sun rises the fog will intensify....it's doing right now . Hopefully it will burn off quickly.
Today I am going to the dermatologist. . In July,  I went to have a spot on my shin removed.  It looked like a pimple when it started, or an ingrown hair. Thought I may have nick myself shaving my legs.  It harden as time went on.  Dr. removed it and the biopsy said it had the start of cancer cells.  So he is doing a follow up on it.  I just want to remind many of you to get things checked, you never know . The doctor did say, most skin cancers will start as a pimple or ingrown hair looking spot. So be safe not sorry. XO

  2. Oh, Savannah looks stunningly beautiful! What a great experience! I’ve never been to NYC.

That yellow morning sky is another beauty! So glad you took photos of it. The corn here was all picked last night. No crops left in any field that I’ve seen this visit. I did see big trucks at the grain elevators when I went to town yesterday.
The countryside looks a bit bleak and barren now that all the excitement of plowing, planting, growing, and harvesting is all done. I’ll be interested to see what the farmers plant next year.

    1. Linda, I long to go to NYC again. I have been twice. Once we flew in and sailed out of the harbor into Canada. The Statue of Liberty was being worked on and we never got to go inside it when we were there touring the city either. Savannah is seeing it all. I want her to remember it and love it. I want her to have a desire to travel and go to great places. It's a lifetime experience for sure. I love catching the sunrise when I can here...because the woods at the end of the road usually blocks it. Hope you are loving your get away. Blessings, xoxo, love you, Susie

    1. Thank you Sylvia. I don't often get sunrises, the woods blocks most of them. I am so happy for my grandgirl Savannah to be on this wonderful trip. She will have much to tell me. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, After what the dermatologist told me about how something so simple can be a cancer, I will be more careful . I was very lucky to get in and have that removed. I got a good report today. Go back in 6 months for follow up. Glad your family is staying on top of things. Two men make appointments for a skin check while I was waiting today.
Savannah will be home sometime tomorrow evening. She will sleep till Monday probably. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  8. Susie, I'm so sorry to hear this about your shin. I do hope that everything turns out ok for you. You are such a dear blog sister to me.

Savannah looks cute all dressed up for the Broadway show. What a fun time she had in New York with her choir class. The fog is pretty with the corn fields, and the last picture of the fog outlining the corn fields is beautiful. It rained last night, which is nice. There is a fire going on in the area Jess lives - about 40 minutes from her, but it's closer to her work. She said it's in the mountains and not the town, but she did have ashes on her car Monday. Oh, these fires, Susie. Please say a prayer, would you? It concerns me even more that she's getting ready to have her baby.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. Diana, Savannah is just the sweetest, quietest soul. I am so happy she is seeing the Big City.
The doctor looked me over , legs arms back and asked to see my chest...it's been awhile since a man wanted to look me over like that. LOL.He didn't laugh or gag either. :):) Said I was good to go. You know we have to laugh at ourselves most times or life can get us down. I am thankful that God gave me a sense of humor. You too. Blessings, love you, xoxo, Susie

  13. Susie, thanks for the good advice. I'm going to take care of that next week. I have been putting it off. DH recently had one removed that was pre-cancerous, too. What a wonderful experience for your lovely Savannah. She will have loads to share with you when she returns. Your photos of the sunrises and sunsets are always beautiful and unusual. I like the one over the corn field. Have a good weekend!

    1. Nonnie, While I was waiting I at the drs. a man and his daughter camein and he make an appointment to have a full check over ...then a man sitting with his son, said he wanted an appointment also. They talked about being out in the sun lots. I am glad I did have that spot removed. it was the size of a pencil eraser head. Oh yes, Savannah will have glorious tales to tell and I can't wait to hear them. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  14. I go once a year to the dermatologist. And many times, more than once. I hope your spot is ok now and you don't have to get it cut on. I had basal cell on my forehead years ago. They are harvesting the fields out our way. I think Savanna looks all grown up!

    1. Hi Cindy, My g.daughter is home now and had the best time. The dermatologist cut that spot off my leg and kind of scoop cut it and then cauterized where he cut. He gave me a good report but told me to always watch my skin, which I intend to do.
I was hoping the corn across the road would get harvested, so I could wash my windows they are filthy form the bean dust.LOL Take care. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Marilyn, My g.daughter is a sweet soul. She got home Saturday and was tired but excited. I like to snap pics of the fog when it's not heavy. The corn may have to wait on being harvested, because rain is coming in tonight. Oh I got a good report on the place the dermatologist cut. I will watch my skin more closely now. Hope you are doing well.Blessings, xoxo, Susie
