Ted and I met up with the twins and their daughters. I did not get enough pictures. . This is Savannah (Karen's daughter), Liz, me and Ted. We had lunch at the Pizza Shack(by the tracks) . Not my favorite place, but my daughters all like it. I think that stems from the "good old days" when they were in H.S. and I would give them a blank check to go eat dinner there and they could take a few friends along too. That's when I worked and it was much cheaper to eat there. LOL.
Lynzie and her little sister Emma. Emma is the tall one., really, but not wanting her picture taken. I keep telling these young people they look wonderful and better get their photo taken, because when they are older, they will think, "well I looked pretty good in this picture. " LOL
Driving thru town to the H.S. for the play "Steel Magnolias" . It was a truly beautiful day. Blue skies and sunshine. Nippy from the wind.
After the play we took some pictures. Me , Angie (in her Truvy make-up and wig), and Angie's husband , Mark.
Savannah, Angie , and Karen. This is in the hallway entrance to the auditorium.
Sweet baby Leo. He and his parents came for the weekend too. He is now almost 4 months old...where does time go? His wonderful head of hair is thinning now.
It truly was a great weekend. Sierra flew home for her mother's play. Kathy (daughter #2) came to town for the second night of the play. So all of my daughters were together. We sat with my two youngest sisters in the audience yesterday.
Hope all of you had a good weekend. Stay healthy if you can. Enjoy this day.
It's a nippy wind here today, also, Susie. Great fun with family and little Leo is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sylvia. We love our family time, don't we? :):) That bright sunny day was a great break in our winter. I needed that. Hope you get some nice breaks too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI love seeing you with so many of your family! How exciting to see the play and wonderful of everyone to support Angie! These are good times and I’m glad you took a lot of photos. We’re never sorry we take them. Only sorry we didn’t take more!
ReplyDeleteLinda, If the theater group made dvd's of this play, I will send you one. I thought Angie id a great job. One of her lines was , "he was so confused, he didn't know whether to scratch his watch or wind his butt." It was really a funny show...but you know there were moments of sadness also. I love every minute of my time with my girls and their girls . Plus got hugs from all of grandson Jake's best buddies. They are like extra grands. Blessings and love, xoxo, Susie
Deletewhat a great weekend and that baby is lovely!!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, I got to hug on little Leo, so sweet. Growing way too fast. I truly enjoyed all my time with the family...it just didn't last long enough. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThat baby Leo is a darling! You used to give your kids a blank check?? My parents would never have dared. :-))) I would have bought airfare. xo
ReplyDeleteJudy, You make me laugh out loud about getting an airline ticket. My girls were always good with my money...never spent too much. They would grocery shop at times. Most often it would be Kathy who would do that chore for me. She was always and still is a penny pincher. She'd find all the bargains at the grocery. :) Oh I miss those sweet girls being mine. I am blessed so much Judy. Leo seems to grown into a different baby...they change so much in the matter of a month. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteFun time indeed! Love the pictures Susie! It's nice to have get togethers and Leo is so adorable! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteHi Pilar, It was a great fun weekend. Seeing most all the family, getting hugs and holding Leo too. I needed all those hugs and all that sunshine. Blessings to you honey, xoxo, Susie
DeleteFun times, indeed, Susie. It sounds like you had a great time with your family. The Pizza Shack sounds good. I sometimes crave a slice of pizza. Little Leo is a precious baby, Susie. I'm glad you got to go out and the weather was suitable for you over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week.
love, ~Sheri
Sheri, Baby Leo is growing and so sweet. His face lights up when he sees his parents. :) I like pizza some times. I just hate to smell garlic when I go into a restaurant . LOL. Sunday's weather was the best in a long time. The sun is shining this Tuesday, but it's cold. So I plan on having a cocoa and reading this afternoon . Blessings to you, love, xoxo, Susie
DeleteLOL-Pizza Hut is not my favorite either...but..the kids do like it. They also like Pizza Ranch which is pretty good and they have great broasted chicken, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is so true, Susie, about looking back at those old pictures (that you hated to have taken) and thinking---I looked pretty darned good BACK THEN! lol
Glad you had fun at the play and that baby is adorable...even if he goes bald! xo Diana
Diana, My granddaughter Lynzie used to say, let's eat at Long John Chicken Hut...she would get those places al mixed up. So funny. Emma is going thru that young teen stage...which I like to call "their vampire stage" Stay up all night and sleep and wallow all day. LOL. Too cool for school and family , some times. Yuck. The play was fun and holding Leo just about made my whole weekend. :):) Blessings, love you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie! You always have such lovely family get togethers. The play must have been nice to see! That little baby is growing like a weed! Have a good week. -Jenn

DeleteWhat a fun occasion to bring the family home to! Our 9 yr old grandson is in a musical at a local community theater...was his first time to try out and he got a part! Looking forward to the performance in a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteHi Doris, I did love my weekend of family fun. It just doesn't happen enough thru winter. Always a worry for Lynzie , since Luke has Cystic Fibrosis...we can risk colds or flu germs. You will bust with pride at your grandson's performance. Enjoy !. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteLooks like a great time with the family. Leo is precious! Glad you all got to see the play.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen. I did enjoy my family time. yes, it's like you said we love our grandchildren. They give us Joy. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWhat a fun way to document your family gathering Susie...I love times when we can get together for lunch! I'll bet the play was real hoot! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteBetsy, The pizza shack is done up like a railroad yard in places. Pictures of trains too. I just love time with the family more than food, so that works. The play was so darn funny. Angie had this line ; He is so confused, he doesn't know whether to scratch his watch or wind his butt. LOL Lots of great lines and laughs. Sad in the end a bit. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the play. I am a fan of Steel Magnolias. How fun!! I also love that she made the newspaper. And so cute that she has that Southern Accent down.
xx oo
Carla
Carla, That play was pulled off in one set, by six women , and kept the audience 's attention...made us all laugh and at the end made many weep. Our community theater said it was one of the best presentation given. I was really proud of Angie. Well all of the ladies. Hope all is going better there for you. Stay well. I hope Ted and I can keep from getting the flu or even a cold. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteSending love and hugs.
Thank you Wanda, for your kind compliment. The play was wonderful. Angie loved doing it. I want my daughters and granddaughters to get pictures taken without having to think they need to be movie stars. You know when they are young and looking their best, they need to appreciate themselves. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWonderful family pictures! I'm glad you are able to get together and enjoy those good times. Leo is so very precious.

ReplyDeleteI love my family time . I also love my town. It's not like it was growing up, but it's small and simple. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteLooks like you had a fun week end with your family. Your main street on the way to the play reminded me of the town I used to live in Ladysmith, WI. So nice and quiet. Baby is cute, but then aren't they all.
ReplyDeleteLouise, I had the best time with my family. Hugging on Leo was so fun. Our small town is a great place...I love it. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI bet the play was so fun and entertaining, what a fun thing to get to go do together! What is Pizza Shack? Is it like Pizza Hut? We had pizza this weekend and it was so good. I even like anchovies! Didn't get any, but I do like them.
ReplyDeleteDebbi, Pizza Shack was opened here years ago,by someone from my class. Since it was by the tracks, he called it Pizza shack by the tracks. They serve pizza, sandwiches and sodas. My girls love their food there...me , not so much. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSuch sweet pictures Susie and that baby is adorable. Oh the good ole days of when you could hand them a check and say go! LOL! We used to have this place called The Shack by the Tracks that sold sandwiches such as BBQ. Hope you have a good day. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
