This is the wreath on the front door. ..you know the one I bought for a dollar at a yard sale. I have yet to get a ribbon on it to change it up from last year.
I painted our scarecrow's hat and spiffed up his face a bit. Tore out the petunias but left the marigolds in this pot. Added one of the little pumpkin and some fake fall foliage.
Stuck some faux flowers and leaves into this container with the colorful potato vine. If it gets near freezing this weekend at night, this vine will probably be a goner.
I cut the bright green potato vine out of this container, except for one little spot. Added fake flowers and two little pumpkins. A wooden pumpkin plaque with a welcome sign on the handrail.
Put some old sweater pumpkins along with faux flowers, ferns, and a small scarecrow, into a big basket for the table on the porch. A black cat silhouette is ready to jump from the table on your right. I keep the little shutters as a back drop when I decorate this table.
My great granddaughter Layla made this pretty pumpkin for me. I have it on the fridge
This is hanging alongside . It's a sweet picture of leaves and acorns. The acorns are the hand prints of Luke, Max and Layla. This is a keepsake. :):)
Another scarecrow is by the flag pole bed. I did a lot of weed pulling and chopping yesterday. Cutting out the lily stems ,that were like cane poles, they were so tall. So ashamed that I let the beds go so long. Came inside afterwards, I was getting plenty hot. Then I did two loads of laundry., which is a breeze after weeding. LOL
Another hurricane is headed to the southeast corner of our states. Please everyone be safe. Praying for all. XO
I love all your Fall Decor Susie! The door wreath and pumpkin are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pilar. That door wreath was a bargain. I love finding clean useable decorations at yard sales. Hope you are doing well. Please be safe if the bad weather comes your way. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHello! This is not my first time here as I've been reading for a while but I just wanted to pop in and comment that your Fall decorations look great. Have a blessed week.

Hi Beca, Thank you for visiting, and the kind comments. I some times paint things over and over to get new looks and more use. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie! Yes, praying for safety!
ReplyDeleteGood idea to leave the marigolds. They reseed themselves here, every year!
I am saving the marigold seed. I will share with my daughters. I have truly enjoy the yellow ones this past spring/summer...they have lasted so nicely. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteIt won't get to freezing for a long time down here but of course we are watching the weather now for the wind and rain we will get from the hurricane. Love your pretty Fall decorations. You brightened that scarecrow up with the new paint. Love your pretty flowers too. Enjoy your week! And thanks for always being a sweet blog buddy and caring about us all! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDiane, You are like family to me. :):) I want you and your husband to be safe , healthy and happy. That goes for the boys and their loved ones too. :) Glad you like my outdoor décor. I see in the paper that the threat of low 30's has went back up to 38 at night this weekend. What a change. My husband said my scarecrow's faces look like scareddity cat faces. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie. Your wreath still looks so pretty. Love the little berries in there and all your scarecrows. I haven't done any decorating on the porch yet. Still have remnants from July!!..Happy Tuesday..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteThank you Judy. I am happy I finally had a day cool enough to do a little outside stuff...although my face was red as a beet from pulling weeds. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteNice fall decor
ReplyDeleteThank you Adam. My husband says I make the scarecrows look scared, not scary. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteAll of your flowers and flowerpots, displays etc. all look so pretty and festive! You did a great job. Makes your house look so friendly and welcoming.
ReplyDeleteThank you Debbi. It has been so crazy hot this year, that I had let things go ...almost too long. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie, we were just watching the hurricane news and they said it has strengthened! So scary. I think this one might do some damage. I’m so sad for all the people in its path. Your flowers and decorations look great. I love the way you added real and fake flowers, and pumpkins to planters. Great idea. I never thought of that. I was thinking about stealing your ideas then I thought....naaa...I’m tired of taking care of outside planters! And I finally answered your question about sulfur on day two of my bday posts. Stay warm...it’s gonna get chilly out!
ReplyDeleteCindy, I am glad to turn the AC off...that is one big energy sucking device. But If saved us this year. Too hot. The reason I put fake flowers in the pots, I am tired of watering and spray when needed. It work caring for plants in containers.
DeleteI am really worried about all the crazy weather. Praying for all in this storms path, it is at strength 4 right now and will hit this afternoon. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
It is really looking like Fall around your home. Love the hand acorns and the creation on your fridge made by little hands. Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteThank you Theresa. I always love to get a little art craft from the little ones. It means the world to me to think they are thinking of me. Touches my heart. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeletei wonder how close you are to this newest storm and if you should bring some of those decorations indoors?!?! my youngest son is michael and boy was he a storm!!
Debbie, That was so sweet of your husband to decorate . Oh I would laugh if any of my brother had a name of a hurricane. they may have but I don't remember. Oh I live in central Indiana. My granddaughter lives in Tampa. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI love all the decorations you did. So very pretty! I have done nothing and I really have to get started. Hopefully my body will cooperate and let me.
ReplyDeleteKathy, I hope you can get to feeling better soon. I hate when I want to do things and can't muster the energy. I am glad I have mine done for now. All I am doing anyway. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteThank you Carol. That wreath certainly was a yard sale bargain. :) Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful fall touches Susie! I too love to decorate for the harvest season! Looks like you've been very busy outside! Indeed, continuing in prayers for those in the path of the hurricane!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marilyn. I usually decorate for seasons not holidays...but I do Christmas holiday. I am praying for the people who were in this storm's path. So scary and sad. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie. I bet you are wearing a sweater this chilly morning. I love your decorations. That door wreath looks so real, it doesn't even need a bow.
ReplyDeleteThe keepsakes from the children are just beautiful and so special. It's finally feeling like Fall. Enjoy!
Hi Karen, Yes, Ted wore his long pants to golf this morning. It's 50 degrees right now at 9:30...that a big drop from those 80 and 90 degree days. No Ac is what I am loving. You know I almost always have long sleeves on, I get chilled. Thin skin and thin blood.
DeleteI can not believe that wreath still looks so good after all this time and it was a dollar !! LOL Blessings to you dear friend, xoxo, Susie
