Ted and I went for a walk on a walking path, where daughter Kathy will be moving in a week or so. Kathy was with us and took this shot.
We also went to the little Japanese park in Carmel, Indiana. I love this place so much. You can see the big Koi fish.
They were yellow, white, orange, and black. We saw a bass swimming with them.
Plenty of ducks also. The lily pads have almost taken over the entire pond from when I first saw it in spring.
I love the plants, shrubs, and trees around this pond. It's so beautiful and relaxing.
There's color appearing in lots of the trees. It was chilly this whole weekend, we wore jackets both days.
This is the city building nearby the park. It looks like a coastal building to me. I think because of the steeple in the center.
Doesn't this look like a perfect place to picnic?
A water feature fountain. I hope no one ties to drink from this.
There are picnic tables across the way. Some one was eating lunch .
You can rent a bike to ride around on ,as the Monon trail runs by this park. Look at the pretty sky shot here. We had a wonderful time with Kathy. Ate lunch at the MCL cafeteria. Went to Kathy's new apartment to check out the route the fellows will take to move her soon. Then we went to her place and picked up things she wants to store here for a bit.
I found some pretty leaves on our walk and brought two home. :) I wish our trees here had such pretty leaves. Around our property the leaves are brown and yellow only. We are to have frost in the wee hours of tomorrow. Brr. So not ready .
Hope your week is a good one. Prayers for all in need. XO
Love the pictures. Looks brisk and cool your way. Suppose to get to 91 degrees today by 3 p.m. GRR.....Oh those fish! Wow! The colors are beautiful. You had me at PICNIC! Yes, I would so love to have a picnic there. My late motherinlove loved doing picnics. Matter of fact, I need to do a picnic with my grandbabies soon! Hugs and blessings to you dear lady.ReplyDelete
Thank you Cindy, for the kind words. My mom used to love picnic in the park. I love that Japanese park...it was built for Carmel's sister city in Japan. I can not recall the name. We went from high 80's and some 90's to 50's...no in betweens. So it's chilly. Takes my thin blood time to regulate. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Good Morning Susie, thanks for sharing your lovely walk with us. The weather is marvelous this time of the year . . . I love getting outside and enjoying it. The two of you look so sweet walking hand in hand together :)ReplyDelete
Hi Connie. I told Ted after I sent the picture of walking to my girls...hey we do not have a lot of pictures of us .LOL I love walking when the leaves are falling. We saw lots of birds out on that walk. My daughter Kathy is going to love her new area...as she is a nature lover. Hope you are doing well, blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Beautiful photo of you both walking, so romantic, the fish are so bright! Lovely photos, as always, keep warm, the chill is coming!ReplyDelete
Laurie, It is snowing places here in the U.S. I don't like snow while the leaves are still on the trees. LOL Inside we can get by with throws and sweaters for some time. Gloves , boots and big coats can wait. LOL. Hope you are getting much snow there. Blessings to all of you, xoxo, SusieDelete
That first pic is my very favorite one! A perfect fall weekend! No color here yet. I noticed when I was looking out the kitchen French doors that the honeysuckle has some blooms on it. Really looks like spring here with all the flowers blooming. The temps yesterday were close to 80 and this morning it’s in the 40’s! I saw a funny on Facebook that said, The temps dropped from 80 down to 40 like it saw a State Trouper!”ReplyDelete
It’s been raining all night so we are sucking up water out of the den......again.
Wishing you a good week ahead, love you and Teddy!
Thank you Linda. Ted and I enjoyed our weekend. We work at Brock's fixing a faucet, the dishwasher and trying to hook up the ice maker. Need a longer drill bit to get thru the floor. Old house and built to last. LOL. So the walking of the trail and park , then going to lunch was a great day too. Don't you think going from 80 to 40 is shocking? I am wearing sweathers. LOLI like that funny. Maybe you can get a tarp anchored on the roof till it can be fixed. If Ted and I were there we would help. Blessings to you and LD, xoxo, love you, SusieDelete
Beautiful scenery. LOVE those colorful fish:) Have a beautiful day dear friend, HUGS!ReplyDelete
Thank you Theresa, Today I have worn a sweater all day. It's like winter. I love looking at the fish and the ducks in the little park. The scenery is just so pretty. It's a pleasant place to relax. Blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete
Koi fish are awesome to look at.ReplyDelete
Adam, I am surprised at how very big those Koi are getting to be. I sure did not know they came in so many colors. :) Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
That's a really cute photo of the two of you! How sweet you are together and that looks like a pretty path to walk. Stay warm...cuddle up!ReplyDelete
LOL Diane, We may have to snuggle to keep warm...it's freezing here. I pray it doesn't snow while the leaves are on the trees. My daughter will be walking that path a lot since she is moving there beside it. I love that in circled around a pond with a pier . There's a walking, biking trail around the city. Kathy will get to bird watch, which she dearly loves. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
I love seeing Koi Fish. Bright and beautiuful. How nice it will be to walk to your daughters home.ReplyDelete
Lisa, Oh No honey, we were walking around where she will be moving to. We live 35 miles from her house. LOL We did spend the day with her. She has taken me to that park before. I do love to see the koi and the ducks. My daughter is a nature lover and bird watcher for sure. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
I enjoy Koi fish too. I think that is so funny a bass was swimming with them. He must be trying to stay safe from being caught by a fisherman. LOL
I enjoyed your photos. I like the leaves with the polka dots a neat contrast.
Carla, We are still wondering how a bass was swimming with the Koi. There's no fishing allow in the park pond. But when my daughter moves there 's a fishing pond at her new place. She is loving that the walking trail is so close by and she can walk to town from her apartment. About 5 blocks. :) I loved the colors of the Koi.. I was surprised to see so many. I want to gather leaves like a kid when I saw the pretty colors of maple leaves. My daughter laughed. :) Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
That firsr picture is my favorite Susie! You two look like you had a nice walk. I haven't seen koi fish in so long! They're so bright! Those leaves remind me of the artificial maple leaf vine that I made to go around the countertop. That post is on the blog today! I'm almost finished with Fall decorations!ReplyDelete
Hi Pilar, Thank you for the comment. It was a really nice day. I loved seeing the fall color there in the little park. I'll be over to your site soon, can't wait to see your pretty décor. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Such a pretty place to take a walk. Love the leaves you found! We have a lot of brown leaves that are falling. Hope some pretty ones will come.ReplyDelete
Frost? Wow, don't think it will get that cold here. Stay warm!
Doris, It was 29 degrees this Tuesday morning. I am in shock. :) That's too cold too soon. I hope it warms up quickly. I have been wearing sweaters and jackets. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
What a beautiful place. Love the picture of the two of you strolling together. So sweet.ReplyDelete
Carmel is where Diana's daughter Mindy lives and now where our little Peggy went to live. I hear it is a great town. Happy New Week.
Kris, Carmel is a town with lots of culture. I love that, but it is also surrounded by plenty of nature and that is always nice. Kris, I think we may have to dig the snow shovels out if this cold keeps happening. Yikes. It will end the flowers here. Stay warm . Blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete
I'm not quite ready for frost, but I'm loving these cooler temps. It has been one of the hottest summers I remember. Fall is my favorite time of year. Looks like you had a peaceful weekend. We all need one of those!ReplyDelete
Bonnie, I am so glad you mention how hot this past summer was. I do not remember it being that hot ever. I love autumn also. I long for many pleasant fall weekends to spend enjoying the outdoors. It was 29 degrees this Tuesday morning. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Such lovely fall photos, Susie! My favorite is the one of the two of you...you should frame it!ReplyDelete
Thank you Linda. That was a fun day..after we worked the day before fixing things at our grandson's house. My daughter love nature so much..so she is into walking trails. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
I love walks like these on a crisp autumn day Susie....sounds wonderful!!!ReplyDelete
Betsy, That was a fun walk about. We had never gone there before, so to see such pretty scenery was pleasing to the soul. My daughter is going to love her new apartment area. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
i love being outdoors, enjoying a day just like this!! we don't have any color on our trees yet, i don't think it will be long now that it has gotten cold!!ReplyDelete
those leaves are pretty, you should press them!!!
Debbie, I am almost afraid the leaves will fall off the trees before they get a chance to turn . I love seeing sugar maples, they have the best color. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Hey very nice pics Suzie! The leafs are turning around here as well. I could have gone out yesterday but we were all caught up in local sporting events.ReplyDelete
Hey, go Red Sox !! LOL Boston Boy, I thought of you when I read the sports section. It was 29 degrees here this morning. That's too cold too soon. I was hoping for a nice pleasant long fall season. Well one good thing about the frost...it killed off some of those little biting no see'ems. Hopefully. Hope you are having better weather than we are. LOL. Hello to Arlene. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Love your pictures-heading home to Indy next week from month in Florida!! Will have to go to Carmel soon and see the pond. Will be back in Florida in December and then Indy for winter. Love your blog!!ReplyDelete
Hi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing months of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any methods to stop hackers?ReplyDelete
That is a wonderful picture of you and Ted, Susie. You should frame that one. What a nice walk you had seeing the fish, the ducks, and the colors of Autumn all around you. Love those leaves. We have a lot of Autumn color now as well. The trees aren't full yet, but they are coming out every day. : )ReplyDelete
