Sunday Fun.....

Ted and I went for a walk on a walking path, where daughter Kathy will be moving in a week or so. Kathy was with us and took this shot.
We also went to the little Japanese park in Carmel, Indiana. I love this place so much.  You can see the big Koi fish.
They were yellow, white, orange, and black.  We saw a bass swimming with them.
Plenty of ducks also. The lily pads have almost taken over the entire pond from when I first saw it in spring.
I love the plants, shrubs, and trees around this pond. It's so beautiful and relaxing.
There's color appearing in lots of the trees. It was chilly this whole weekend, we wore jackets both days.
This is the city building nearby the park.  It looks like a coastal building to me. I think because of the steeple in the center.
Doesn't this look like a perfect place to picnic?
A water feature fountain. I hope no one ties to drink from this.
There are picnic tables across the way. Some one was eating lunch .
You can rent a bike to ride around on ,as the Monon trail runs by this park.  Look at the pretty sky shot here.  We had a wonderful  time with Kathy. Ate lunch at the MCL cafeteria.  Went to Kathy's  new apartment to check out the route the fellows will take to move her soon. Then we went to her place and picked up things she wants to store here for a bit.
I found some pretty leaves on our walk and brought two home. :)  I wish our trees here had such pretty leaves.  Around our property the leaves are  brown and yellow only. We are to have frost in the wee hours of tomorrow. Brr. So not ready .
Hope your week is a good one. Prayers for all in need. XO

  1. Love the pictures. Looks brisk and cool your way. Suppose to get to 91 degrees today by 3 p.m. GRR.....Oh those fish! Wow! The colors are beautiful. You had me at PICNIC! Yes, I would so love to have a picnic there. My late motherinlove loved doing picnics. Matter of fact, I need to do a picnic with my grandbabies soon! Hugs and blessings to you dear lady.

    1. Thank you Cindy, for the kind words. My mom used to love picnic in the park. I love that Japanese park...it was built for Carmel's sister city in Japan. I can not recall the name. We went from high 80's and some 90's to 50's...no in betweens. So it's chilly. Takes my thin blood time to regulate. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Laurie, It is snowing places here in the U.S. I don't like snow while the leaves are still on the trees. LOL Inside we can get by with throws and sweaters for some time. Gloves , boots and big coats can wait. LOL. Hope you are getting much snow there. Blessings to all of you, xoxo, Susie

  4. That first pic is my very favorite one! A perfect fall weekend! No color here yet. I noticed when I was looking out the kitchen French doors that the honeysuckle has some blooms on it. Really looks like spring here with all the flowers blooming. The temps yesterday were close to 80 and this morning it’s in the 40’s! I saw a funny on Facebook that said, The temps dropped from 80 down to 40 like it saw a State Trouper!”
It’s been raining all night so we are sucking up water out of the den......again.
Wishing you a good week ahead, love you and Teddy!

    1. Thank you Linda. Ted and I enjoyed our weekend. We work at Brock's fixing a faucet, the dishwasher and trying to hook up the ice maker. Need a longer drill bit to get thru the floor. Old house and built to last. LOL. So the walking of the trail and park , then going to lunch was a great day too. Don't you think going from 80 to 40 is shocking? I am wearing sweathers. LOLI like that funny. Maybe you can get a tarp anchored on the roof till it can be fixed. If Ted and I were there we would help. Blessings to you and LD, xoxo, love you, Susie

    1. LOL Diane, We may have to snuggle to keep warm...it's freezing here. I pray it doesn't snow while the leaves are on the trees. My daughter will be walking that path a lot since she is moving there beside it. I love that in circled around a pond with a pier . There's a walking, biking trail around the city. Kathy will get to bird watch, which she dearly loves. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  9. Hi,
I enjoy Koi fish too. I think that is so funny a bass was swimming with them. He must be trying to stay safe from being caught by a fisherman. LOL
I enjoyed your photos. I like the leaves with the polka dots a neat contrast.

    1. Carla, We are still wondering how a bass was swimming with the Koi. There's no fishing allow in the park pond. But when my daughter moves there 's a fishing pond at her new place. She is loving that the walking trail is so close by and she can walk to town from her apartment. About 5 blocks. :) I loved the colors of the Koi.. I was surprised to see so many. I want to gather leaves like a kid when I saw the pretty colors of maple leaves. My daughter laughed. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  10. That firsr picture is my favorite Susie! You two look like you had a nice walk. I haven't seen koi fish in so long! They're so bright! Those leaves remind me of the artificial maple leaf vine that I made to go around the countertop. That post is on the blog today! I'm almost finished with Fall decorations!

    1. Kris, Carmel is a town with lots of culture. I love that, but it is also surrounded by plenty of nature and that is always nice. Kris, I think we may have to dig the snow shovels out if this cold keeps happening. Yikes. It will end the flowers here. Stay warm . Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

I was hoping for a nice pleasant long fall season. Well one good thing about the frost...it killed off some of those little biting no see'ems. Hopefully. Hope you are having better weather than we are. LOL. Hello to Arlene. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
