Tricky March....

This past week , we had some really nice days. About three. So I went to Horton's in town. Realized I had missed the Spring Open House. Got myself a nice little garden flag . It cheered me to see the pretty colors.
The tin truck in the center of the store was loaded with flowers , some real and some fake.
The greenhouse has lots of pansies and garden starts. New flowers for the cemetery stones, also.
I love the pansy faces. They look delicate but really are a hardy plant.
This is a bold color.  I did not buy any yet, as I have no time to plant them.
This is the side entrance to the store. A scarecrow with a basket of flowers.
Inside are groups of displays. This one has lots of reds.
This is a small display and the yellow stands out.
The Easter banner looks nice here. Love the fake white flowers.
This is what happens , just when you think it's gone...it snows again. Yesterday afternoon.
Snowing and foggy...you can not see very far. Maybe across the road. We had about 2 inches of snow.

This is the last day of March. At least the sun is shining today. It is cold, but pretty skies make me smile.  Hopefully the snow will melt quickly. Roads are somewhat slick.
Tomorrow, we have an appointment with the hematology nurse practitioner. It's just south of here at Riverview.  Ted will just get his labs done there. Praying for good counts.
Wishing all of you a wonderful new week ahead. Be safe. XO

  4. This sounds like a good and sorely needed day for you. Rick and others keep telling me to take care of my self because caregiving is hard work so yesterday I did the same. We're getting a little snow today but earlier in the week was lovely. Your Hortons looks like a great place. Hang in there, both of you!

  19. Susie we were traveling last week and I said I wish we could go to Tipton, Ind. My daughter said why not? So we got to Hortons at 10 till 5, the lady was so nice, she let us in and stay as long as you want, she was getting ready for open house next day. While we were there my son-in-law called and said "You are EIGHTY miles out of the way". Wish we could have seen you and I'm so glad you were able to see the pansies (we missed them). We are thinking of you and watching your news. Next time we come, we'll let you know.

  24. Funny how your weather changes. We are pretty stable here, sunshine or rain! The two choices. The last week has been bright sunshine. Today they are tree trimming at the Villa, and I'm afraid they are going to cut some of my shade from the tree by the balcony. Be careful boys, don't trim too much!!! Tomorrow is our big day for Don's heart testing. 3 different ones at the hospital at 3:15. Thanks for your prayers. Looking now for answers.
