We have had some of the hottest weather lately, it rained yesterday evening and now the humidity has dropped. It will be pleasant the next few days. Hooray.
Ted had a Dr.'s appointment today. His labs were good, but a bit lower on his platelets from the maintenance chemo he had on the 8th thru the 12th. The dr lowered some of his meds. and stopped one. Next week another med will be stopped also. Eighteen more days till that big 100 day mark. Praying Ted will not have any graft verses host disease. One of the thing that could happen from a bone marrow transplant. Please keep him in your good thoughts and prayers. Thank you and Bless you. XO

My husband and I are both praying for your precious Ted and for you too, my friend. I'm glad it has cooled off some. Your Clematis is gorgeous...one of my favorite colors too! Hugs to you both, DianeReplyDelete
Thank you so much Dane. We truly are grateful for your prayers. When it rained here so much, I worried about flooding...but the plants loved it .:) Hope it's cooler for you to get some hiking done. Blessings to you and Ron and thank you for the sweet card. it made Ted smile . So fun to get something nice in the mail. xoxo, love you both, SusieDelete
Be assured that Ted and you are in my prayers. Your yard look so pretty especially that clematis.ReplyDelete
Hi Connie, I was thinking of you and Steve yesterday as we sat in the waiting room at the clinic, so I said a little prayer. I saw a couple of really young people at the clinic too that made me say a prayer for them.Delete
I haven't done much in the yard for about 3 weeks, too hot to go out. The plants loved all the rain , then the heat. Blessings to you and Steve, keeping you in my prayers. xoxo, love, Susie
I hope these 18 days go by quickly for ya'll and I just know there will be good news!!! Oh my gosh, that is a GORGEOUS purple clematis.....ive tried two or 3 years growing them and NO LUCK....ZERO. And I love them so much especially that shade of PURPLE! Will you take some close up pictures for me please? thanks! What do you do to get it to flourish like that!!?? it's awful hot here but I do see quite a few neighbors with them growing so it's not the heat.ReplyDelete
Thank you Debbi, for the good wishes. Ted was happy about cutting back on some meds, as they can raise the B.P. I think clematises love the heat but not direct all day sun. Mine gets morning dappled sun, full on noon sun and shade late in the afternoon. It's on the east side of the house. It's the best flowering one I have ever had. Blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete
Praying even now... That clematis is amazing! What color! These days are going to zip by!ReplyDelete
Thank you Vee. I so appreciate your prayers and have you in mine. I am so grateful for everyone's good wishes and kind prayers. They do help.Delete
The lilies and the clematis are doing well. I did not have much else. The ground cover pachysandra always give us some tiny flowers with color. Blessings to you sweet girl. xoxo, Susie
Your mother would love the Purple clematis, Susie. It's beautiful, and my favorite color too! The yellow flat plants look great planted there. Wow, I didn't know you lived out in the country for 14 years. Sounds like a wonderful way of living, Susie. Yes, Ted is always in my prayers, and you as well, dear friend.ReplyDelete
It's really hot today, and I sure wish we had some of your rain. : )
Sheri, We need a bit of rain even after all the flooded fields this spring. Once the 80-90 degree weather gets here with humidity we need the rain for the lawns and crops. The farmers planted late , so fields did not even get planted. Harvest may run into winter. Our lilies and the clematis gave us some pretty flowers this year. Sheri, we thank you for your prayers, they mean so much to us and are truly helping us to stay positive too . God has brought us this far and I know he is still with us always. Bless you sweet young lady, love you, xoxo, SusieDelete
"His labs were good..."
Thank you Sandi. We are grateful for your kind prayers. They do help us. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
Oh how I wish it was cooler here! It's been so hot in South Carolina, and the heat has been causing my sinus and allergy problems. Your yard looks beautiful Susie! Sending continued prayers for you and Ted.ReplyDelete
Thank you dear Pilar. I truly appreciate the prayers. Honey it was 56 degree here this morning a wonderful change ...low humidity. I wish I could open the windows for the entire week. LOL. I need to run the weed whacker, but I just am not into getting all dirty just yet this pretty morning. I'll do it later today then take a shower. :) I hate that you are suffering with sinus issues do to the weather . I know my sister has problems like that too. Take care of your self. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, SusieDelete
thanks for your comments today, good idea to charge the cable guy for dusting. your flowers are beautiful. I like the name pachysandra. my name is Sandra.ReplyDelete
I don't know the details about the chemo and bone marrow, but can tell you my brother was diagnose with amyloidosis cancer 5 years ago, they said there was no cure, 1 in 3 million get it. they did bone marrow transplant and chemo, and he has been in remission for 4 years now. they had said he mght live a year. hang in there and I pray for Ted to hae the same results my brother did
Sandra, I have let so much of my housework fall to the wayside...can't keep up with everything. Thank you for telling me about your brother. When I hear stories of cancer and bone marrow transplants it helps us have more hope. Blessings to you and your family, xoxo, SusieDelete
It is good to hear from you with a report about Ted. I feel like I know him and we are certainly pulling for him. The clematis is beautiful, it is a clematis tree!ReplyDelete
Thank you Peggy.I certainly appreciate your good wishes. I really am pleased with our clematis. It's just a regular clematis plant growing over a post with chicken wire on it. :) Blessings to you, xoxo, Hope all is well. SusieDelete
Sending prayers your way. Love the flowers and clematis is one of my favorites.ReplyDelete
Thank you Betty. We are so thankful for everyone's prayers for Ted's return to good health. It's been a long road and we still have a ways but hoping for no crazy twist and turns. Oh that clematis has been such a good growing one. I love it too. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, SusieDelete

Sun is such a good thing for flowers....we have little of it on our wooded property. And our grown is so rocky.....aren't having a lot of success with our plants. Even the perennials aren't multiplying much.ReplyDelete
Praying for you and your hubby!!
Thank you Doris for the prayers. It means so much to us both. Maybe you could get some hostas growing...they love the shade and come in different shade of green. Blessings to all at your house, xoxo, SusieDelete
Praying my dear friend.ReplyDelete
We just got over the heat wave. Sadly, the cold front and heat wave hit together causing a major storm. Our county had a terrible storm. We have a friends who lost up to 12 trees. They are uprooted. The storm hit Friday. Today is Tuesday, still over 1,000 people out of power.
So many trees are down, it really is sad to see.
On the good news, no loss of life!!
Carla, I hate to read about all the people without power. It's too scary with the heat being so high. Our temps are decent right now. We lose enough trees due to disease...sad to lose them do to storms too. Praying for all of your area. Thank you for the kind prayers for Ted. He truly needs to get well. He has tried to stay positive. Blessing to you and yours, love, xoxo, SusieDelete
Praying for Ted, that he will continue to heal and flourish. Praying for his complete healing.ReplyDelete
Thank you so very much Pamela. We are grateful for all the kind prayers and good wishes. Ted has enjoyed knowing others pray for him...so he stays in good spirits. Blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete

Your flowers are amazing and beautiful... the colors are stunning!!! I'm going to look for the yellow follow... Looks like a lovely ground cover! Those are great for keeping down the weeds in certain areas. Thank you for sharing these lovely pics with us!
Oops.. That's supposed to be yellow *flower*!ReplyDelete
Thank you so much for your prayers. It's so kind of you. We are truly grateful to all who think of us. I think God likes to hear us pray for one another.Delete
You will love that pachysandra ground cover. You only have to put a twig or two in the ground to get it to multiply. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
even tho i don/t visit often, i think of you and send prayers for your sweetheartReplyDelete
Thank you so much BJ. I try to visit and leave comments. Some days I am on the computer for a minute or two , maybe half an hour other days. You are in my thoughts and prayers too. Hope you are enjoying your summer and getting to see lots of your family. I think of your sweet Deeds and know she is growing up. I cried for my own grandgirls yesterday. I miss them all. Blessings to you dear friend, xoxo, love , SusieDelete
Ted is always in our good thoughts.ReplyDelete
Love those purple flowers.
Thank you so much.We appreciate you. That purple is my mom's favorite color..well was. I sure miss her. Blessings to you, xoxo, SusieDelete
Thinking of you. Beautiful flowers.ReplyDelete
Susie, Hi! Your flowers are gorgeous! Mine, not so much. That heat was so hard on all of them. Except for the marigolds, they seem to be thriving..not sure why. Guess they are hardy. We did have a reprieve the last few days, but back to the 90's now. Nothing like those 117 heat indexes we had though. Yikes.. terrible. So glad to hear Ted is improving as each day goes by. It's almost time for a new week in my planner and was writing my prayer list. You are Ted were on the top of it. Stay cool and bless you both.ReplyDelete
Gert, Thank you so much for having us at the top of your prayer list. We are grateful for all your prayers and kind words. Ted goes this Monday for his weekly follow up..hoping they give us more good reports.Delete
I love marigolds. I had saved seeds from last year and had planned on planting them everywhere. Only got a few seeds growing. LOL. I do not like the temperatures to be over 75. That's warm enough for me. Blessings to you stay safe, xoxo, Love,Susie
Hello dear Susie....I pray for you and Ted often. Trusting for those good reports. Your clematis is gorgeous, Susie! So full and healthy looking. Quite muggy here today...but that's okay. Love Summer whatever way it comes. Trying to blog again. I just hope my computer holds out...lol. Every time I try, it goes kaput!! Have a pleasant Sunday afternoon, my friend. Love to you. Debbie xoReplyDelete
Debbie, It is so good to hear from you. Sorry I haven't written you. Seems I think of things while sitting in drs. offices or Ted's clinics...then never find time once I am home. Thank you so very much for the prayers. We are truly grateful for each and every one. hey do help us. I know the Lord hears them. :) It rain like non stop for weeks into months once spring came....then it seems to have stopped raining other than tiny showers here and there....so it's dry and harsh here.Delete
Windows ten and the Geeks have pretty much put me in a bad place to blog. Can't email anyone. No email spot, no address book. Even the Geeks could not load our original email address and format. They erased hundreds of pictures...I can not find them any where. Good luck with your computer and welcome back to blogging...so many of of fun friends are still at it. Pray all is well there for you. Love you so much Debbie. You will always be my friend. xoxo, Susie
Just a reminder that I am praying for Ted's 100th day!ReplyDelete
I sure hope you can get your pictures back that the GEEKS lost! xo Diana
Diana, I do not think I will ever see those pictures again. Not all Geeks are Brainiacs.Delete
Thanks for the prayers. I will be making a new post later. I am not sure where we are going with this bone marrow thing. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie
Your clematis is beautiful, Susie! I would like to try growing one. Keeping you and Ted in my prayers as he continues in his healing journey! xoxoReplyDelete
Thank you so much Linda, Your prayers are so welcomed. They are helping us...it's tough. I can not even remember where I bought that clematis, I think Lowe's. It's been a good one. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
I am back from my getaway. Wanted to check in and see how Ted is doing.
Sending lots of love!
Thank you Carla. I sure hope you had a good get away. I am longing for one myself. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, SusieDelete
it's still so hot here at the jersey shore, but it's summer and that's what we kind of expect!! the pool water is 92 degrees, hardly refreshing!! your clematis is gorgeous, my favorite color if you didn't know it!! heheheheReplyDelete
those yellow daylilies are easy to divide!!
Dear Susie, Just want you to know I continue to pray for you both. I saw this pretty clematis and just had to comment. This was my mother's favorite color flower too. It's been a long, long time since I've seen pachysandra. Yours is lovely. God bless you and Ted.ReplyDelete
