The weather is certainly changing. It's cold in the mornings and some nights. The trees are changing colors. Looking so pretty. Sunsets that make me smile.
Farmers are harvesting like mad...rain due tomorrow. This Cragill's has trucks lined up at times. Not in this photos, but trust me the farmers are there.
Our water town south of town.
Getting those long shadows on the shop in the late afternoons. I feel winter is near but not looking forward to it at all.
Ted is doing much better. He did receive a call from the Heart Center , that he will be getting tested to see if his heart has been scarred from the chemo. They are booked till December. But Ted sees the bone marrow drs. next week. I think they will schedule maintenance chemo again and a breathing treatment. I am so thankful to all of you who have sent us good wishes and offered prayers for us. It is working, thank so much, beautiful people.
I would like for you to pray for our neighbor please. Gary is the man that has been mowing for us, since Ted is not allowed to mow this year. Too many molds and fungi. Gary loves to cut wood and stack it for his fireplace. He was cutting wood today and tripped and broke his hip. He was taken to our local hospital, then transferred to Indianapolis , and they will do a surgery on his hip. Please pray for him, he is a good man , has been so kind to all. Thank you. XO
Praying for Gary and continuing to keep you and Ted in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jan. I am so grateful. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie, I continue to pray for you and Ted. Thx for the update. Also, I pray that Gary's surgery goes well. I hope you are able to enjoy Autumn before the really cold weather arrives. xoxo
ReplyDeleteMildred, Thank you for the prayers for us and for our neighbor. We are grateful for each one. I am hoping to get to be with the great grandkids this weekend. ...before colds and all that . Blessings to you and your husband, hope you both are doing well. xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie ~ So glad to hear Ted is doing better . So is my Don. God is Good. Sorry to hear about your friend. Will pray that the surgery is successful and he can get back to doing the things he loves.
ReplyDeleteThank you Wanda. I am thrilled to hear about Don. I know it's scary when our loved ones are suffering. Ted and I straightened around the shop today. Just throwing things away and putting things in new places. No dust making. :) Thank you for the prayers for our dear neighbor. He is the kindest person. Blessings to you and Don, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThank you Laurie. I am so blessed with loving family and friends and wonderful blog family too. Thanks for the prayers for us and our neighbor man. I will find out more tomorrow. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeletePrayers for Ted and for Gary. What an unfortunate accident Gary had. We have to remember that God's timing is always perfect and look for the good. Not easy when you are hurting. I loved seeing your photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you Terri. I am so thankful for each and every good wish and prayer. Our neighbor will be grateful also. I am trying my best to love the autumn. Even though I can't rake or weed whack as often as I would like. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful scenes in your town. I love this time of year. I will pray for your neighbor and continued prayers for Ted and you. Sending HUGS across the miles!
ReplyDeleteThank you Theresa. Your prayers mean so much to us and I will tell our neighbor there's prayers going up for his recovery. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYes, it is certainly changing and winter is coming whether we want it or not. So sad for Gary. We never know what strange accidents will happen to us. Praying for him and continued prayers for Ted and you too.
ReplyDeleteKathy, I am so grateful for your prayers. I know our neighbor Gary will be thankful too. Gary only cuts wood to have soemthing to do , most often, he's retired. He has the biggest stack of wood I ever saw. As long as his garage and as tall. He's a good person, he and Ted are really good friends. I thank you for all the prayers. Bless you and Joe, xoxo, Susie
DeleteOh gosh, poor Gary. Sending wishes and prayers for healing his way...and continued prayers for both you and Ted. It's starting to snow a little overnight here, but thankfully it's melting by noon!
ReplyDeleteRain, Thank you so much for all the prayers. We are grateful for each one. I would love for it not to even snow till Feb. LOL. Just dread the shoveling and driving in bad weather. Bless you, xoxo, stay warm, Susie
DeleteSorry to hear about your neighbor and friend. I win certainly pray for him in this situation.
ReplyDeleteContinuing to pray for your husband and for you. :-)
Thank you Debbie, we are so very grateful for all the prayers. People are so kind in blogland. We all need each other's good wishes and prayers. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
DeletePraise God for all He has done! And prayers for Gary now, too.....
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. Life is so unpredictable. I am grateful God has helped my Teddy get better. Now I am so worried for Gary. I heard the sirens and saw flashing lights on the road, as I was washing the windows of our car and truck. I told Ted to call Gary...his wife answered and said they were there for Gary and told us what had happened. I think Lynette was home for lunch. I thnak you for all the kind words and prayers. Know that you and yours are in mine also. Blessings, xoxo, love you, Susie
DeleteMy water comes straight from my well. I don't see many water towers here.
ReplyDeleteAdam, I honestly do not know why there's water towers unless it's in case of a water shortage ..I need to look that up. We have a well out here in the country too. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteOh no!!--poor Gary!! Let us know how his hip surgery goes, ok? Glad Ted is still feeling better. Oh my gooodness it must be getting brrrrr....cold there your way! We still have the air conditioning on here....sigh. LOL! It's not as bad as the middle of hot summer tho....and the humidity has lessened. Hope y'all have a great weekend my friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you Debbi. Gary is just the kindest person, will do anything he can for others. So we are grateful for prayers to help him. I am happy Ted is doing better and it has helped us with everyone's prayers and good wishes. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeletePraying for you and Ted and your kind Neighbor. Your sky photo is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHi dear Karen, Thank you for the prayers. They are helping us and will help our neighbor too. You are in my prayers also. You know I love the sky photos. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGod bless & prayers for you all.
ReplyDeleteThank you Winifred. You are so kind and we are grateful. Blessings to you , xoxo, Susie
DeleteHow sad that your kind neighbor fell and broke his hip. Sure hope he goes through surgery well and heals quickly. Falling is so scary. Glad to hear that your Ted is doing better and I hope and pray that continues. Like you, I am not looking forward to a long cold winter...I love warm days! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Honey, Thank you for the good wishes. We are thankful and our dear neighbor will be too, once I tell him others are caring. Ted has warned him of cutting wood alone. His wife said he called her, he had his phone. I think it's Gary's vision, he has had eye surgeries. Stay warm dear girl, I am trying not to think of winter. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI will pray for your neighbor and hope all goes well with his surgery. Hopefully someone else will take his place helping you all out.
ReplyDeleteMa, We had told Gary not to mow last week, kind wonder if he would have been here instead of in the woods ...can't tell he just loves to stay busy. Such a good man. Thank you for the prayers, i will tell his wife people are praying and truly care. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWOW, yep when it rains it pours. Love the pictures and prayers continue. Danged sad about Gary too. I hate it when the active folk are stopped in their tracks, but he will be back at it I pray!
ReplyDeleteSherry & jack
Thank you Jack ans Sherry. Prayers are the way we can each other. Gary is a kind man and will be upset not to be working. He's always busy, just loves it. He's retired. His dog passed away two months back and he was not into getting another yet. His wife was home fro lunch and he called her from the woods. Thankful he had his phone. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteOh dear! I am sorry to read about this misfortune that has come on your wonderful neighbor Gary. Yes, I will pray for him to recover completely from the broken hip.
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year and the coziness of home, but I don’t enjoy thinking about what comes next. 😏
Prayers and love...
Oh sweet Vee, you sound just like me. I love autumn and dread winter. The older I get the less I like it . Thank you for praying for our neighbor, such a good man. We appreciate all your kindness. You are in my prayers Vee. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteIt's changing here, too. Good news on Ted and good wishes for Gary. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jeanie. Our neighbor will like hearing of any prayer or good wish for him. He is truly a great fellow. Has been so kind to Ted and I. Finally Ted is starting to be better. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSaying a prayer for Gary along with those for you and Ted. Life can certainly change in a split second. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteThank you Laura. Yes, in the wink of an eye, Gary went from cutting wood and stacking it , which he just loves doing to maybe never getting to again. But with prayers and God's blessing of a recovery, he will be able to saw trees up again. He has been cutting out the dead ash trees in the woods. The Emerald Ash Bore has killed all the ash trees here. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWe're seeing the weather get cooler here, too, and for the first time I realized the days are getting so much shorter.
ReplyDeleteContinuing prayers for Ted and now for Gary. My friend Miriam fell in her living room six weeks ago and broke her hip, too. She was in the hospital for a couple of days for surgery. She still uses the walker outside, but she's scooting around and walks two to three miles every day. Hope that Gary's recovery goes as well.
Carol, Reading about your friend Miriam is encouraging for our neighbor Gary. I pray he does heal completely. His wife still works. I will help them in any way I can. Thank you so much for your prayers for Ted and Gary They help. Blessings to you, stay safe, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWe have wind gusts up to 30 - 35 MPH and heavy rain but we made it to church, 5 years ago we got SNOW on October 27th and it stayed till late Spring. Be interesting to compare our winter Photos this year ! Take care, God Bless, Gary an Anna Mae
ReplyDeleteThank you. Gee, last night was fierce winds. 40 to 45 miles an hour. Scary. I really hate when it snows on trees that still have leaves. LOL. Take care and stay warm. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, I said a prayer for your neighbor, Gary. I'm sorry to hear that he broke his hip and will need surgery. That's so nice of him to be mowing your lawn right now. I'm so glad to hear Ted is doing better, and I will continue praying.
ReplyDeleteI love when you talk about the farmers working in your area, cause I appreciate them so much. And did you get the rain that was expected? Susie, there are fires here in California, and it's so scary. The winds have been so strong lately, and there was a fire that started about three hours away from me. So many people had to evacuate from their homes. Please say a prayer that no fires start where I live. Thanks, Susie, and have a blessed week.
~Sheri
Oh Sheri, I have been praying for all of California. It's breaking my heart for everyone. You are always in my prayers. :) I am asking you to always be on the safe side...do not hesitate to leave if it's necessary. I thank you for praying for my Teddy and our neighbor. We all must pray for one another. Blessings to you and your family. xoxo, love you, Susie
DeleteOh No. Get well soon Gary.
ReplyDeleteR
Rick, Thank you. Gary is a great fellow, Ted and I will do anything we can. Ted just can not be outdoors in the harvesting dust and dirt...due to molds and fungi, as he had a bone marrow transplant...so Gary helped with mowing this year. The mowing season is over, but Gary loves gathering wood..just to be doing the sawing and such. You would honestly laugh if you saw the size of his chopped and stacked wood pile. :) Gotta love a hard working man.
DeleteBeautiful photos. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet Pilar. I miss you honey...I will be visiting your blog soon. Please take care and hello to your mom.Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThank you Susie! Hope to see you soon on the blog.
DeleteHi Susie,
ReplyDeleteI am praying for your dear neighbor. A good neighbor is so very special in today's world.
Continued prayers for your sweetheart.
I enjoyed the photos. And High Fives to those farmers who work so hard to feed America and the World.
Thank you so much Carla, for all the prayers. Teddy got a good report this morning...those prayers are helping. The farmers had a bit of a rough start and now they want to get their crops in before big rains or snows. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your neighbor. Hope his surgery went well and he is recovering. My mother had hip replacement surgery when she broke her hip after a fall. I have osteoporosis as a result of my chemo treatments, so I worry about falling in case I break something!
Hope Ted's new heart tests can be scheduled soon. Sometimes, these long waits for tests can be worrisome.
Lovely photos! I remember all the beautiful fall colors from when I spent 6 years in Wisconsin. One of my friends lived in Indiana and I went to visit her over one Christmas. Can't remember the city, though. It was close to Lafayette.
Ted's heart test will be the first week of Dec...the soonest he could get into that heart center. The Dopplar he has showed his heart squeeze was back to where it had been before chemo. Thanking God. Yes honey be careful , if you have osteo. My sister has it and she is getting shorter and that compresses her organs. Can lead to troubles. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteOh my goodness! I do pray that all will be well with your friend Gary. Maybe there will be some cancellations and Ted can get in earlier for testing Susie. I do hope he is doing well and feeling the prayers of many. Many he will probably never meet on this side of heaven. Our weather has been nice and crisp in the mornings but warm during the day. Still running the AC and praise God for it! I hear the temps are to be cooler the weekend. We shall see.....I hope that you have a wonderful week dear lady. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteCindy, I think Ted's heart test will be fine the first week of Dec...that is when it was set up. His Dopplar showed his heart squeeze is where is was before chemo. Thank our Lord. We had good results this morning at the bone marrow clinic. God is good. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYep....things are changing. Temps are cooler, crisp feeling in the air, heater in the house on and I have already started taking to running the heated seats in the car! SHHHHH, the truth of that is it just feels great on the back!!! I love this time of yr but I am afraid that when it turns cold I will be rethinking all that!
ReplyDeletePam, Some times the heat in the car after it has sat in sun feels so good on my achy joints. LOL. I am hoping we have a mild winter...but maybe some hard freezes to kill the bugs and germs. :) Bless you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, Winter will be here soon for sure! I too am not ready for it. Bless your sweet hubby. I am having chemo every two weeks now. We do what we need to prolong our lives. I will continue to pray for him and you!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Jann, I pray God will be with you and lead you thru to good health. It's a rough world, I would not one without our Lord. Ted got good reports this morning, his hemoglobin is actually in the normal range...first time since last Nov. when he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It's been a long year. But today I actually left lighter as we left the clinic. Blessings and prayers to you my sweet friend, love you, xoxo, Susie
DeletePraying for your neighbor, Susie, and also for Ted's tests. AND I am praying for you, too, because being a caretaker is NOT easy.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are lovely and, like you, I am not looking forward to cold weather at all. xo Diana
Diana, We got a good report from Ted's dr. today. His hemoglobin was 13.5...the best it's been since being diagnosed. They took labs for another"who's who "test, that is to see how much of Ted's marrow is the donors. They want it to 100 % It was 96 % last check. They changed up two meds. Ted will be taking those steroids for a couple more weeks, then he will start his baby shots. We had agood day getting to the clinic, no detours.
DeleteI hope we do not have a harsh winter, but fear we might, because the last two were not bad.
If you ever see me driving around looking lost, you know I just could not take any more. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Love you, Susie
Beautiful pictures Susie, yes indeed, winter seems to be arriving early everywhere this year! It was 7 degrees here this morning, brr! So thankful to hear the good news about Ted's reports, thank you Lord! I will certainly be praying for Gary, your neighbor, such an unfortunate accident for him, praying he heals quickly! Blessings, hugs and prayers!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marilyn. All the prayers are helping us and I know that Gary could use them too. He is a kind man. Oh no , I do not want to see ant single digit weather temps. Yikes. I am cold not and it's 68 in our house. LOL Blessings to you and yours, stay healthy. xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie,
ReplyDeleteIt is freezing here. Only in the 20's barely. This is January weather not November weather. I hope this is not a sign of what our winter will be like. Hope Ted is doing well.
Hugs,
Kris
It is possible to grow an organic garden all year if you have a sufficient light source for an indoor garden. Plants need plenty of light in order to grow properly and there are bulbs that can be purchased to provide indoor gardens with the appropriate amount of light to have them thrive and produce a fruitful bounty.satta king
