You can see a bit of snow on the railing of the porch. High wind warnings are out for our state today. Possibly 30 to 40 miles an hour or higher. Brr. There is snow in that wind also. I am cold, not ready for this kind of weather.
You can see the frost on the porch floor from the other morning. Just hoping it kills off all the bugs. LOL
Ted and I went to the bone marrow clinic on Tuesday. The nurse took lots of blood for labs. One will be the "Who's who" that is to see what percentage of Ted's bone marrow is donor now. It was 100% in July, then 98 % in August, then 96% in Sept. It needs to be 100%..
Ted's hemoglobin is now 13.5 , that is the best it's been since before last November . When he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, it was 5.5 then. His white cells are good, his platelets need to be better. But all in all , Dr. Tandra of the bone marrow clinic says Ted is coming along nicely. Getting better with his energy and breathing. He also changed Ted's meds . Lowered the steroid he is taking. It will take about a month to get it lowered and done with, so Ted can get his baby shots.
I want to thank all of you out there for the prayers and well wishes. You are helping us in so many ways. We are truly grateful. Bless you. XO
The power of prayer is amazing! I'm glad Ted's numbers are improving! That weather sounds horrid to this Floridian!! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteThank you Terri. Oh how I wish I was in Florida. LOL. I truly believe in the power of prayer and it's good we can do that for each other. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteThat’s a good report! The weather report is something else. The winds are howling here and it is raining buckets. I hope that it does not change to snow. I am not ready for that! Hope that the temps there moderate and that the snow melts so you can enjoy Nov without the white stuff.
ReplyDeleteVee, Once the weather turns cold, I always hope for a bit of Indian Summer. I can remember eating Thanksgiving dessert on my mother's porch , one year right here in central Indiana.
DeleteTed and I , both were thrilled with the news from his Dr. Ted has been getting on the exercise bike for a half mile each day. I tell him to do what he can and get his strength back. Hope you are doing well. I pray for you Vee. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
Thanking God for this good news!
ReplyDeleteAmen my friend. God is good. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie :) I'm happy to hear that Ted is improving, my gosh what a long battle. Let's hope for the best!! But...snow, even a sprinkle? NOT happy to hear that! I'm not ready either!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rain. Ted and I are happy to have another two week break from going to clinic. I am glad he is getting his energy back. :) It's not how he used to be , but I think we have to accept that. Hoping the big snows wait till maybe Jan or Feb. LOL Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGlad to hear that Ted's health is improving. Hope the numbers continue to be where they should be.
ReplyDeleteOh, my, snow, already! It has got a lot cooler, here, too (although we don't get snow where I am); I can't tolerate the cold, at all, and turned on the heater, yesterday!
My girls used to say I was the last person in town to turn on the heat. LOL. But the older I get the less I can stand the cold. I wear sweaters in the house all the time.
DeleteYes, honey, Ted and I are so happy about his lab numbers. It was like a weight had lifted to me. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Brrrrr, and I was complaining about the chill here this morning. Stay warm. We will be shouting "PRAISE GOD" for answered prayers! Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!

DeleteOur God is a loving God. I felt so much lighter when we left the clinic on Tuesday. :) Thanks for the prayers. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Cold winds blew in here for trick our treat last night too. I didn't see any snow, but one of my sons says he did. I'm not ready for that yet either. I'd be happy if it held off until Christmas and then stopped again. It is such good news to hear that the doctor thinks things are going well. I'll continue praying all things proceed beyond expectations .
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for the prayers. They help us, there's power in all those prayers. Ted has been so good the past few days and I am relieved. Oh this cold biting winds. Today, and honey I am not kidding all the leaves fell off the Catalpa tree . In one day. Total shock of all that cold. LOL. Blessings to you stay warm. xoxo, Susie

DeleteSo glad to hear Ted is feeling better, Susie, and with more energy. That is good news. You are getting a bit of snow already? We had the high winds too a week ago, and unfortunately, that is one of the things that starts these fires in California. It's such a delight to see your front porch, Susie.
ReplyDeleteWishing you good November days, dear friend.
~Sheri
Sweet Sheri, I am so glad to hear from you. I have been praying for your state and all my friends there. So thankful you are safe. It's been terrifying to see on the news...so I know living there it has been the worst imaginal terror . Please say safe .

Oh, Susie!! I love good news!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the card to Summer!
With all you have on your plate - you still find time to bless others! That's so YOU, Susie Q!
Linda, I did not know Summer's full name , so I just made her a Chapman. LOL I wanted her to know others think of her and wish her the best.
DeleteLinda, yesterday Ted fixed my daughter turn signal. She just asked him so he would feel like he could and he did. Then he use the wheelbarrow and got three little loads of wood to the wood box on the back porch. He was busting with pride. :) I told not to over do...just try to do things. I am thanking God for his return of energy. He still gets a bit winded, have to watch him. Blessings to you and LD, love you guys and the whole family, xoxo, Susie
Susie, sorry I am late to getting to your post but the good news is so exciting. The power of prayer is amazing. Not ready for the snow stuff!
ReplyDeleteNonie, Prayer has kept us going. It will a year on the 20th of this month, that Ted was diagnosed with Cancer. It will be another 6 months before he will be thru with so many drs. visits and treatments. I thank you for the prayers. We truly are grateful. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHello, I am so happy about the good news. Our family continues to pray for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteLots of love, Carla
Thank you Carla, and your family. Every prayer has helped us get this far. We appreciate each one. Every good thought or wish helps us also. Blessings to you and your sweet family, love, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSo happy Susie to hear Ted is doing so well. This has been a long journey but Ted has really mastered the fight. We got snow on Halloween which was so crazy. I think our nice fall days are over and winter is creeping in early. Ugh! Enjoy the new week ahead.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
Thank you Kris. Oh yes, I think we may not be so lucky this year where winter is concerned. You will understand this since you are a nurse. Ted goes the first week of Dec. for a test to see if the chemo has scarred his heart. The doppler from last month shows he has the same heart squeeze he had before all the chemo , meds, hospitals and the bone marrow transplant. That is good. Today we both stretched the water hoses out to get the water out and roll them up to put away for winter. He was ready to rest afterwards. I tell him..do not over do..it may take me forever but I will get it done. LOL. I am praying we move from here...too much lawn. I rake about a 1/3 acre today.Gaa, my feet hurt. Blessings you sweet girl, thought of you as I went to Horton's on Sat xoxo, love, Susie
DeleteHi sweet Susie! Well, that's good news! Stay cozy and warm.
ReplyDeleteThank you honey. I know we are going to start having really cold weather tomorrow. Today was decent and so was yesterday. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGlad he's doing well thankfully. I like the changing seasons as you say gets rid of the nasty bugs. Take care, stay warm, I will remember you both in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Winifred. I truly am thankful to all who pray and send well wishes. There's great power in prayer.
DeleteI just carried up wood from the bin to the wood box...oh my goodness the wooly worms were rolled up for winter. LOL Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
Such good news. Warm wishes.
ReplyDeleteThank you miss. I am grateful to you for you good wishes. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteOh Susie That is wonderful news. You have been so faithful taking it One Day at a Time. I know your faith has sustained you and Ted. What a journey you've been on. We are praising the Lord on our end, as Don is getting stronger each day. We are managing the salt and water intake and it seems to be working. Loving you Sister in Christ. Praying for more good news.
ReplyDeleteThank you Wanda. I think of you often and hold you and Don in prayer. I am so thankful for everyone's kindness. The prayers and good wishes mean so much to us. There's days I can keep calm, then others I feel like a lunatic, raving and ranting. LOL. But those might be the days I forget to hand my worries to God...he knows I am like that...yet still loves me and stays by my side. God is good. Blessings and prayers, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie, so glad Ted is doing well. One day at a time. Winter already? Wow, each year is so different. Stay warm and cozy. Blessings and hugs,
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet Linda. I am so grateful for good wishes and prayers. Hope you and yours are safe. Blessings to all, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteThank you Judy. I have thought of you and your family, and prayed. Oh Ted is a bit stronger every day now. We did a couple chores together this week. Made fire starters and put the garden hoses away.
DeleteI think I will be counting days till spring soon. LOL. Just do not like winter. Too many woes with it. Carrying fire wood, hauling ashes and shoveling snow. :( Blessings to you and the Captain. xoxo, Susie
The weather is so cold now that it's November. Thanks for visiting my blog and have a nice Friday and weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie. It was very cold this morning , then turned into a pretty. Tomorrow is to be nice also. But oh , come Monday, It may snow and be bitter cold again. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie! Oh, I do see the snow! Well, since we've moved back to Texas, don't think we will be seeing any! Thank you so much for popping in to see me and your compliments on my creations! Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh I bet you are happy to be back to Texas where it does not get so very cold. Enjoy your Sunday. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThanks for stopping by, Susie. It's always so nice to see a comment from you. Are you getting ready for Thanksgiving? It will be a quiet one this year, but the weekend before the family will all be together and we will take a drive in the mountains. Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteWishing you good November days, Susie. love ya.
hank you Sheri. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving...to be with family. I have a brand new grandson, Finnlee Harrison. But my computer won't let me download pictures and I only have old ones to show. The Geeks wiped out a huge amount of pictures and said they were contaminated, that a lie, they say that when they mess up. LOL We will have our celebration when we can all be together...so it won't be on the very day. But as long as we can be family, I do not mind. I hope you have a good month also, I have worried about your fires there and prayed for all. After Ted sees his dr this week, I will do a post. Blessings to you my friend, xoxo, love, Susie
DeleteHI Susie! I meant to tell you the last time I commented that I was glad to hear the news for Ted. Thank you for popping in to see me and your kind words. I hope you're not going to get too cold tonight. We are actually supposed to get a freeze!!
ReplyDeleteDear Susie and Ted,
ReplyDeleteit is wonderful to hear good news and my prayers are with you both. I know that you are living each day one by one and taking them with much grace and trust in the Lord. There is no planning other than doctor appointments when you don't know how your man will be feeling each day, but each day is a blessing and a place to gain more of the Lord's love. I think of you often dear friend and know your pain. Praying for strength and good health both physically and spiritually for you both. Hang in there and know that you are loved.
Connie :)

All you need to do is poke little holes into the bottom of plastic 1 gallon jugs, bury the jugs next to your plants and make sure to leave an opening. Fill the jugs allowing the water to seep slowly into the ground.

it is important to know if you have a genetic predisposition. Gender plays the major part; however, factors such as race, metabolic rate and circulatory issues are involved as well. Being genetically susceptible to cellulite will have an impact on your approach to prevention.
