Summer Is Moving Right Along.....

The gazebo in the park is decorated for the 4th. The city has been having free band music there for anyone who wants to sit and listen. There's benches spaced around on the lawn, or you can bring a chair or blanket and just relax and enjoy.  I only know this because one of daughters told me. Ted and I would not be able to go. First of all , it would be too many people for us to be around.
This is a view of part of the library. I am not even sure it's open.
The hummingbirds have been really busy here. Now the orioles are feeding on this feeder too. I put orange slices out and grape jelly for them but the orioles do not want that...so gross, the Japanese beetles like the jelly.  I cleaned that all up this morning. Not having any part of that. LOL
Talked with my daughter Angie this morning. She is having a small  gathering on the 4th, instead of our family reunion. So Ted and I might go for a short time. We will wear masks and space out..
I am hoping all of you are safe and can see some loved one during this holiday weekend.  Please take good care. XO

  2. Glad to hear that all is well with you. I am not going out and it is unlikely that I'll see anyone, either. But, that's OK. The only one I would really like to see is my daughter, but, she lives 400 miles away and I see her online (we video chat, daily).

  3. WE are around family some and church, with a few people but we are also a little worried about crowds for an extended amount of time. We haven't seen the hummers yet this year for some reason, we love to watch them.

    1. Debbie, Whenever I see a dove or cardinal with no mate, I feel sad, like they lost a loved one. I must be nuts. :) If my Angie had gone thru with the reunion, we could not go...that would be way too many. But since it just about 10 and they know no hugs or kisses...and that Ted and I will wear masks. I fell it will be okay for a couple hours. Hope you and your hubby have a fun day together. Beat him at water corn hole. LOL Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi Debbi, I thought the gazebo with music seemed like an old fashion idea, that we need today. I wish they would have music every night. :) Once I stood into the Japanese maple tree near the feeder and just waited for shots of the hummingbirds. Paid off. Blessings for a sweet 4th there. Stay safe. xoxo, Susie

I have to care for Ted and so even I can not take a needless chance of bringing anything in on him as he has lower white cell counts from his monthly to 6 weeks chemo treatments. Maybe before the end of all the seasonal fun....praying things settle down for our world. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
