Time Is Passing .....

Look it's time for mums. I still have one. There were two at the end of the front walk. I tried to keep mowing around them and just got too close as they were growing and ran over one.  I dug the other up and put it in one of the flowerbeds.  I had great hopes of having so much done before winter. But honestly at the rate I am going , only a small amount of my to do list will get done.

I hoed some tight spots for weeds today. Then mowed because the forecast calls for rain tonight and tomorrow. Then I went to the store for cleaning supplies and some food items. Got home and sat down and my feet were hurting. That's it, tomorrow will have to be a slower day.

This past weekend was our Pork Festival. I did not get invited to go and just did not want to go alone. I think I must have saved some money, my daughter said the food items were pricey. She drove the golf cart to town and got tenderloins for their supper.

I was invited to their house for brunch  and visiting with my granddaughter from Cincinnati. It is amazing how fast the g.grands are growing. Leo is in kindergarten and Meadow is in pre-school. Meadow seemed to have taken a long time to grow her hair and now it is long enough to fix in cute little girl styles.  That brings back so many memories for me. With four girls I did many a hair-do.

The weather is starting to cool down some. I am glad it's not in the high 90's. Take care friends and stay safe. XO

  1. Lovely to see a post from you, Susie. The year is going by fast, isn't it? I have some mums growing in my garden - someone bought them for a Fall party and tossed them afterwards; a friend of mine, who tends to my garden, rescued them and planted them in my garden. I love free plants!
    :)
I hope you have a lovely Fall season. Take care of yourself.

    1. Thank you Bless. I hope this last mum here spreads out...then I can split it next fall. I had lots of mums at the farm. The man who bought the farm, brought me some starts of a lilac bush I had there. I actually had two lilacs and had gotten their starts from my mom's house. She always loved them, so I hope this plant take a good root here. Take care and enjoy the cooler days. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi Jack, Thank you for the visit. I will have a couple big chores to hire out. Like topping and cleaning up the big tree here. It's maple...much past it young days, been trimmed before. I like the crew I get. They clean it all up and haul it away. The fellow who built the deck, need to come boards the bottom in...because there will be a rabbit apartment otherwise. Jack, in all the years I have lived I had never seen a groundhog in town. This past week I saw 3 in 4 days. No it was not the same one. All the wild things are coming into town.
Take care and be safe. Hold your sweetie. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Glad you got some football weather. I think we will have a cool down. Our weather this whole year has been odd. A few good days here and there. I loved doing hair styles but hate the combing of long hair with tangles till I found a spray on detangler. What a relief. Blessings to you and Steve, xoxo, Susie

  13. Susie! I missed you! Thank you for stopping by my blog! I took a little hiatus after my mom died in July. Then I got hospitalized with pneumonia twice and covid last month. I wrote about it on my blog. It's been a challenging few months, but I have faith things are going to continue to get better. Be blessed my friend!
