Out The Kitchen Window.....

When doing dishes, this is my view.  I love to washes dishes. I must, I know I have washed many. I have a dishwasher and never use it. When I was raising my daughters, I used to tease that I had 4 dishwashers(girls) and none of them worked. LOL  I do remember how very excited they were, when I got my first dishwasher. I think they all have one. I do know my sisters and I would have loved for our parents to have one installed. We had to take turns doing dishes. That was a chore we did when getting finished with dinner. We had other chores when coming home from school. I am sure many of you did also.  At the recent grandparents day at school, many kids were shocked to know their g.parents did chores without an allowance. :):)

  1. Hah. It is sad that kids have to be paid to do anything. What have we done to them, hah. I think sometimes it waas easier to do things instead of asking them over and over again. Beautiful view.

  2. beautiful view! and on chores, i believe all children should have chores! i did not, i was a spoiled "only" child and when i got married i had no idea how to do anything at all. totally unprepared for life in all forms! my children could all do every household chore and manage money before they left home. they have all thanked me too!

  4. That is a great view Susie. I love to do dishes too. I do use the dishwasher but not for all my vintage items or for pots and pans. I end up washing dishes a lot and enjoy watching birds on the feeder which brings me much joy. xo, olive

  5. As I read and comment on your blog tonight, Susie, I have the hum of the dishwasher in the background.:) I put everything that can possibly fit in it!

    Have a good evening!

  6. What a beautiful view! I still hand wash a lot of my dishes...sometimes it's just easier. I like to dry them and put them all away. I've never used a dish drainer. Enjoy your week and thanks for your sweet visits! Hugs!

  7. I think the best visiting takes place with hands in soapy water or on a dishtowel!

  8. what a beautiful view!
funny about the kids expecting an allowance for chores...I see that sentiment. my kids still have to do their chores to keep mama happy..cause if mama ain't happy, none is happy.

  9. Oh what a beautiful view!
We never gave our kids an allowance!
They still had chores to do though (I admit, it was hard to get them to do the chores sometimes!).
