I know that after all the rain we had in April and May, it is hard to believe we really needed rain this week. We have had pop up thunderstorms and showers for a couple days now.....and to continue thru the weekend .
It rained heavy for ten minutes and I was hoping that was not it for us. It got muggy after that rain. But it did rain again in the night.
The lilies are getting thicker and blooming.
There's a yucca plant in here somewhere. The tiger lilies haven't bloomed yet.
I had a few pots like this thru out the flowerbeds and they had petunias along with some dusty miller and some with marigolds. The rabbits have eaten everything but the marigolds .
Well every thing they can reach on their tippy toes.
I have never known of them coming on the porch...so hopefully everything here is safe,.
My hanging plants are lush, I don't hang them I put them in stands.
The pond area is doing well and filling in with grasses, pachysandra, and lilies.
The lemon balm beside this pot is doing well.
Last but certainly not least...this little blossom is growing so nicely. Luke is gaining weight as the doctors wanted. He is smiling and being a happy boy. :):)
Let's pray or send good thoughts ,for all those that lost loved one in the shootings and the London fire. So much sorrow. I wish you a great day. XO
We were the same!! Lots of rain this spring but it had gotten pretty dry. We had 6/10" rain last night. Hooray!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's enough rain for awhile. We had over two inches in two days now...that's enough to keep the lawns green and help things grow. Prayers to you and your mommy. xoxo, Susie
DeleteAll your flowers are so pretty. Love the hanging baskets! And Luke looks so cute, smiling and laughing! Yes, I join you in prayer for those who suffered injury and loss yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, I am loving my flowers. it's so nice to go away and come home and see all those tall lilies and the colorful porch containers. I think next year I will do many marigolds. :):) I am loving all the photos my granddaughter sends me of the boys..she's so good about staying in touch. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThere's a lot of lilies around my town also, Susie. I love that little blue truck with the red flowers. I've been thinking of fourth of July decorations, and don't have many, so thought I'd go to Michael's today. I know I've said this before, but your deck is so pretty, Susie, especially after it rained. Little Luke is precious, and he looks like such a happy baby. You will have to come over and see the diaper cake that Jess' students made her at the end of the school year. It's creative. : )

I love having little flags in pots of plants thru the summer too. I love that my granddaughter sends me photos of Luke and Max...she keeps us in the loop. Ha, I love that diaper cake...so cute. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie
DeleteLuke is just a little bundle of joy, isn't he! And I love your little truck with the petunia in it. We've gotten a few showers and that has helped out dry situation. And yes, I've cried...and prayed. So much sadness this week. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDiane, I do love all my grand and the great grands are so precious...that I want to hug them all the time. Last week I saw Emma...all my gosh, she's way taller than me now. I miss my little crafting pal. Hope you are doing well and not too hot there. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

DeleteYour garden is looking good, Susie! I had something munching at my garden next to the garden cottage, it's always rough to go out and see chewed stems where there should be flowers!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, When I look outside and see those darn rabbits prancing around , I wonder where is Elmer Fudd when you need him. LOL I will plant marigolds everywhere next year. If it keep varmints from eating everything. Blessings to you honey, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteBetsy, I showed the pot with just the marigold....it was surrounded by red petunia and that is what the rabbits loved. :( I think our Luke is adorable and I am thrilled he is growing. the drs. said the fast he grows ...the easier his CF will be to handle. I pray for that sweet baby. Hope your weekend is a great one also. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
