Driving Around....

My daughter Kathy and I went to dinner Saturday evening. This was our sunset. Beautiful color.
Drove thru the small town north of here....had to snap a shot of this spooky yard.  LOL So many plastic pumpkins lined the drive , the porch and many scary items for children .
We had dinner at Bob Evans. There were car shows going on that weekend. The James Dean Festival in Fairmount , Indiana, where he was born. Someone had parked this Corvair truck  in the lot of the restaurant . I had never seen one of these. What a hoot. It was a fun evening.

Last but certainly not least....look at this new blog site, called  A Cottage On The Cove.  It says my other blog, because this lady's other blog site is Nana Diana Takes A Break.  She is having  a give away for those that drop by and check out both blog sites.  You need to go there and see what she is doing.
  Bless your day. XO

  1. Hi Susie, pretty sunset :)
Those people sure are early with their Halloween decorations, but then I went into Walmart yesterday and they were putting up Christmas decorations . . . can you believe it?
I did not know that Nana Diana had another blog, thanks for letting us know, you're a sweetie pie.

    1. Connie, I think the stores rush the holidays too much. Also I think they have had something to do with Halloween being ramped up into a big production. Too sell more lights decorations and candy. LOL. I just found out about Diana's new blog myself. It's going to be fun to be able to buy some fun things she has made, or treasure hunted. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  2. That is quite a spooky yard! lol I'm not much into Halloween, but I know many go all out with decorating for it.
Your sunset is so pretty, we've had some really nice ones lately but I haven't captured many. They change so fast and by the time I go get my camera, I've missed out.
I didn't know about Diana's other blog, so I'll check it out when I get time, thanks for sharing this info.
Take care and enjoy your day!

    1. Cheryl, In the same small town there's family that goes over the top on Halloween décor and they usually leave it up till almost Christmas. Yikes. I know what you mean about the skies changing quickly...some times I am running in the house to grab my phone or camera. LOL. Hope you signed up for Diana's give away. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  6. You know I always enjoy your sunset pics. There is a house in our neighborhood that is pretty decorated up for Halloween! I should take a pic of that. That Corvair truck is quite odd looking. I wanted a Corvair, but my dad wouldn't let me have the one I wanted to buy. Smart decision as one of my classmates bought the one I wanted and it broke down shortly after. Whew. I've already visited Diana and signed up to follow. Thanks! Xoxo

    1. Nonnie, I wish I had held off on posting the Halloween yard...cause I got a picture just yesterday and the sun was shining. :):) Oh that story of the truck. My daughters have all had car woes thru out the years. When my oldest traded her big old Chevy for a sporty car, I made her carry her own insurance and it was much higher than the Chevy. She learned a lesson. I sure wish Diana great luck on her new shop and blog. Blessings, xoxo Susie

    1. Linda, I certainly know your mind has been elsewhere, what with Summer caught on the island during Maria. I thankful she's home. Go to Nana Diana Takes A Break and click on the HERE half way down her lastest post. I do not know how to make links to sites , sorry. I did get to meet Diana when she came through this area. So fun. We were talking about how bloggers should have a convention in many places around the U.S. Blessings, love you, xoxo, Susie

  9. People are already starting to put lots of Halloween stuff out in the small town north of you. I have seen one house decorated for Halloween so far. If you think about it, it's not too far off. Yes, I visited Diana's other blog. I think that's a great idea to sell some of her things on etsy.

    Have a beautiful week, Susie.

    love, ~Sheri
