The Weekend Is Getting Warmer.....

Thursday evening' sunset bringing a promise of warmer weather for this Friday. Today was 35 degrees. Above freezing and melting this snow.
This is how it looked  before sunset.
Lots of snow and cold. But this evening it has melted some of the roads. Not entirely clear out front but working on it.  Looking forward to being able to drive with out worry.
These are some movies my daughter Liz got for me for Christmas.  A documentary about Edith Bouvier and her daughter Edie. Living in a their ruined home and slightly off in there minds.  I will be watching it this weekend. Also there's a movie about these ladies, played by Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore.  Called Grey Gardens.
I wanted to show this great tote bag that Angie bought me . It's from Hortons.  I have been admiring it and she wanted me to have it. It is painted canvas . I love it.  I am hoping to be able to use it when shopping. I know we will have snow again before spring. But I am dreaming of spring and things I would love to do.  Hope you are also.
I am missing my family. Liz went to the doctor today with the flu. I am praying for her to get well quick. I can not go around them while they are sick.  So I will text and mail cards.
Hope all of you are doing well. Please stay healthy if you can. XO

  4. The flu is raging! Deanie as well as Logan and Trystan all have it. I'm glad we are rather isolated in the country! Critters can't give us flu and we are on Critter Duty for the next 4 days!
Hope your Liz gets well soon. I am keeping a prayer journal and will add her name to my 'flu' list.
I know the snow and cold is not your favorite thing but your photos of it are so beautiful!

  7. What pretty pictures, Susie, with the sun shining through on the snow. I'm glad it's a little warmer there for you, but I will surely miss all your snow pictures. They are a treat for me to see. The movies Liz bought for you will be nice to watch until you can go outside again. I hope Liz feels better with that nasty flu bug.

Have a very nice weekend, Susie. We have had foggy mornings lately and it's so cold that there's ice on all the lawns. : )

    1. Sheri, I know you love the pictures of the snowy lawns. I do think the sunsets reflect on the snow making them special. This Sunday morning is super foggy. I knew with the snow melting it would get foggy. Blessings to you and your family. Love , xoxo, Susie

  8. I love the tote bag and the movies sound interesting.
Our snow is almost all melted with the warmer temps the last 2 days. It's supposed to be fairly nice temp-wise all next week. Hope your daughter is better now and you stay well!

  11. First of all I want to thank you for your continued support over at my blog. I don't get many visitors anymore but I do enjoy blogging.
You have more snow than we do. Today it was near 50 degrees and pretty much the same for tomorrow. It's quite nice compared to 0 and below.
Keep taking pictures I haven't done it in a while and I am feeling antsy.
You live in a completely different area than I do. Arlene is much better but not quite enough to go out for a nice meal but soon!

    1. Boston Boy, I love your blog. I like seeing all the places you take us too. I love when you and Arlene take us to the Vineyard too. :) Do you think our weather is just crazy...it's melted off here pretty much and this Sunday morning is so foggy.
Hope you and Arlene are out eating a nice dinner soon. Do not get sick , take care of yourself. It's a job for us to stay well any more, so many people take their germs to the stores to share with others. LOL Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  12. I hope that Liz gets over the flu quickly Susie, it seems to be getting worse all over.
I would love to watch Gray Gardens, after seeing the documentary years earlier. Such a fascinating family, and sad at the same time.
Hope you enjoy the little bit of warmer weather we are having, thunderstorms moving in down here in Tennessee.
    Hugs,
    ~Jo

    1. Jo, I did watch the movie with Drew Barry more and Jessica Lange..it was close to the documentary. It's been awhile since I have seen that too. You are right, it's interesting and very sad. It's hard to understand how a mother and daughter can lose their mental balance at about the same time. Our snow melted and today we are in a London type fog. LOL. So thick. I pray everyone that have to travel the roads are so careful. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
