Hope For Tomorrow....

This is on Monday morning. A skiff of snow.

In the back yard, with the sun shining on the shed.
Woke up this Tuesday morning with 2 inches of fluffy snow.  This is Ted's attempt at shoveling. LOL.  Just enough to pull up to the front of the house , for me to get in the car and go to the dentist. Oh yes, it was my first cleaning and exam for this year. A bit of good news...nothing was wrong and no dental appointments anyways soon. :):)
This is the backyard with the new snow. Thankful for the sunshine today.  I did finish shoveling the front drive and the pull up spot for the mail carrier.  My arms are already sore.
After my dental appointment, we had a little lunch at D.Q.  Across the street is the Casey's gas station. Three or four of the county plow trucks were filling up their tanks.  The sun helped melt some of the snow . Oh happy day.
Tomorrow , Windows Ten is wanting to load something they like to call an "up date."..I call it a big pain, you know where.  Last time they didn't get it done. So if it all works, I'll be able to post....if not, it may be awhile before you hear from me. I am surely hoping it works well. So please wish me luck.
Stay warm and safe . XO

  1. Did I ever mention I am TERRIFIED of the dentist? When we were kids we had a dentist who never listened to me when I cried when he was drilling and I told him it hurt so much. Turns out I was right - apparently I am quite resistant to the anesthetic and need almost double the normal dosage! Now I use both that and the laughing gas, which helps me relax and not bite the dentist!

  2. Debbie, I love my dentist...but I hate going. I pray before I go and yet I still get stressed. Oh I can't even stand to hear those drills while I am waiting. I hate that you had to suffer in the dentist chair. I truly believe many people are more sensitive to things like pain. I was just so happy not to have the dentist say you need a filling or crown , or root canal. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Laurie, I think you are very used to big snows too. I take breaks when shoveling. Today I just keep going only slowly, the snow was fluffy...that wet stuff gets heavy. Blessings, xoxo ,Susie

  4. They have been trying to update my Windows 10 for the last month...I don't know why it keeps messing up, at least it hasn't bothered my computer use.
Glad to hear everything went well at the dentist!

    1. Karen, I pray you do not get ice. That is so risky, could lose power. Please be safe. I was surprised at how much snow we had today. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Thank you Pilar. I sure hope my computer works fine when the Windows people are done. I have no idea where these people are or what they do. Strange to me how they think I need an up grade. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  7. Beautiful pictures of your home and the snow. We are experiencing a bit of Spring as the tree by our balcony is full of white blooms.

Nice to get a good dental report.

Haven't been to a DQ in a long time. Always good. Hugs

  9. Praise God for a good check up! I go to the dentist tomorrow but since I no longer have any 'real' teeth - what can they do to me?? It is a little bit liberating!

    1. Linda, You don't know how many times I think, when do I say when...when do you just not put any more money into an almost hopeless ordeal. I think if I only a one tooth , my dentist would still not want me to loss it. LOL. It was a relief to not have the dentist say you need this or that. :) I wish you luck with your dental appt. you know I do. Blessings to you , love, xoxo, Susie

    1. Sylvia, We luck out with the sun shining...even though it never is warm, the sun helps melt with radiant heat. It also boosts my spirits. :) Hoping to sit on our porch soon. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Missy, Weather is so strnge. We've had little snow when you really think of what we could have had. Tomorrow we may be between two snow sections, one to the north and one to our south...the one in the north may drop down some to include us. Pops of sunshine keep my spirits up. Wishing you "no ice" ...cause that too scary to me. There's things that make me nervous, floods and ice. Blessings, be safe. xoxo, Susie

  12. Susie, will I ever live in an area where I wake up to a blanket of snow like this? It's so beautiful. But living in it might be a bit different than looking at it, right? That was nice of Ted to shovel the walk areas for you to get in and out. So glad to hear all went well with the dental appointment. Be careful when uploading things on your computer. You don't have to get all the updates if you don't want them. Yes, sometimes I wish they would leave well enough alone. : ) Your pictures made my heart sing today, my dear friend.

    1. Sheri, That is exactly it...living in the iffy road conditions and power outages, make living in snowy areas tough at times. At east in California you can go to the mountains to ski or just sit in a lodge and drink coffee or cocoa. :):) Today the computer did a few minutes of up dates, and then I could no access some of my blog pals. I just pray for the best. I am in the mind if my computer is working for me ..what do the Windows people care. They are just nosey into our files and the like. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie

  13. Love all of the pics Susie. Speaking of dentist. Oh my! For years and years I could not walk in the dentist office without my legs turning blue and me trying to come up with every excuse in the world why I needed to cancel. Only when I have been in pain, and I am talking bad pain would I eagerly go! I couldn't even get my teeth cleaned without gas! Yes, I have admitted my FEAR! Love my dentist but the word dentist would just about cause me a panic attack. It took years of praying through it to get to where I can now go...don't like it, but I can now go and act like a grown up when getting teeth cleaned. Anything other that that....well, I am much better than I was. I thought for a while I was a whiny baby until I witnessed a grown, big, strapping man in the dentist office one day come to tears about having to get numbed for a procedure. I actually felt better after that. LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

    1. Cindy, I do pray before going to the dentist and thank God afterwards if the report is good...if it isn't then I pray for courage. What a story of the grown man. But men can be scared too. That may be the only thing that frightens most people. LOL. So glad you are doing better too. My dentist knows I am a chicken in the chair. :) He's patient with me. I have a fortune in my mouth...you'd think I'd have a movie star smile...and I use every product on the market, all kinds of paste, rinses and brushes and still have issues. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

Stay warm and safe dear friend.

  15. Susie: Beautiful snow day!! Glad you still have your gorgeous smile! I got that message from Windows 10 so just left the computer on over night and it was done in the morning. Then there was something they said I should click on to make every thing "so much easier". Couldn't figure it out so same old way of doing things. These new things are just wasted on me!!Happy
    Wednesday..xxoJudy

  17. I'll say it again Susie, we live in two very different places. I love the wide open spaces where you are. Around here a wide open space is the driveway. We had some nuisance snow as well, then rain, then a temperature drop.
Anyway as I read your captions to the pics they almost sounded like a country song. Well I'm sorry I wrote a blog entry instead of a comment. Thanks for your support.

  18. Oh one more thing. The title to your blog entry, "Hope for tomorrow" sounded like the title of a soap opera.

    1. Boston Boy, You made me laugh about the soap opera title. My mother watched them when we were young and she did not work. We have neighbors here one on each side. Then some down the road. This year the field close to us will be soybeans, I like them because they do not block the views. Stay warm and safe, winter is just not finished with us yet. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  20. Oh, those updates! I put them off as long as I can, especially in my phone. I'm glad the dentist trip went well and now on this day you had bloodwork. It's been that kind of week for us, too. Your snow is beautiful, but I guess most people who have it often don't feel quite that way about it. You are quite the woman out there shoveling snow. I am impressed!
    Isn't that a line from a song?
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow!

  22. Such pretty snow, Susie! We live in the mountains and normally we have LOADS of snow by now, but this year has been very different and there isn't a stitch of snow on the ground right now. In the high country there is only a few feet which is quite uncommon. So it was a delight to see your snow {{smiles}}

    Hugs to you!
