Last evening's sunset was too good to miss. I went to the middle of the road for this photo.
The colors were changing quickly.
My daughter said this look fake. :):) I ask you, who could better perfection ?
I just kept clicking away.
Around to the back yard.
Then back to the front yard for a couple more shots.
Then I sent some shots to my daughters. We like to exchange sunsets pictures at times. Hope you had a pretty sunset.
We have to keep all those suffering from Florence's destruction in our good thoughts and prayers. Please. XO
Oh I love those pictures. So beautiful and how majestic is our God! Yes we have been praying for those affected by Florence. Lord Jesus please take the wheel in all situations. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, I was just at your blog and could not find where to click and leave a comment...so I want you to know I am praying for you and I love your autumn pretties on the mantle. I think no one can paint a sunset like our God.:):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGod in all His glory. Such beautiful photo's!
ReplyDeleteYes, praying hard for the victims and all who are in harm's way.
xoxo
Thank you Sally. No one paints like God. :):) Hope all is well your way. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGood Morning Susie, I always enjoy seeing the pictures of your sunsets. You do such a good job. We are almost to the first day of fall and the trees will start to turn. My favorite time of the year. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend Shirley
ReplyDeleteShirley, I certainly hope you have a great fall season. I think because of the horrible heat this summer, everyone maybe ready for some cooler weather. Blessings to you dear friend, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI love your sunset pictures. They are very beautiful. Nothing prettier than a fall sunrise or false sunset. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThank you Missy. I have a lot on my plate this week. But hope I can get even half of it finished. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWhat a beauty that was!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, This afternoon, I went out to get blue sky and white cloud pictures. I told my husband I will be wanting to see them in a couple months. LOL. Hope all is well there with you and your family, xoxo, Susie
DeleteOh Susie what beautiful sunsets you captured. I too am worried for all our sweet blogger friends that live in the Carolina's. Wishing and praying for good for all of those effected out there. I wonder if we will be getting some of that rain. Back to summer here for us. Last week felt like fall this week back to high 80's and humid summer type days. Mother Nature just cannot make up her mind. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteKris
Hi Kris, I keep trying to get outside to do a few things, but can not bear this heat. So I just sweep the porch and walks and water the containers. Ted stays on top of picking up the hickory nuts. We used to pay Emma to do that chore. LOL.
DeleteI just kept thinking of the flooding from the hurricane...it was worse than the wind. Praying for all there in those states. Blessings to you, love, xoxo, Susie
I sat on the porch and watched the sunset here in southern Indiana last evening, too. It was just amazing how it constantly changed and got even more beautiful as the sun sank into the horizon!
ReplyDeleteOh Karen, I am so happy you enjoyed your sunset too. Some times, I call my daughters or send them a text photo , because I just have to share that beauty. Blessings to you dear friend, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI love the cotton candy sky.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the prayers as the storm passed through. We didn't have any damage and today the sky is blue.
Lisa
Lisa, So thankful you are safe. The flooding is worse than the hurricane winds. So much damage. It will take a long time to recover. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, you take the most beautiful sunset pictures. That first one in the middle of the road is so cool. And the last front yard picture is really pretty too. Yes, these storms and winds have been coming lately to different areas and states. I hope you remain safe and sound where you live, Susie. We don't get the severe weather where I live, usually just the weather that comes with the changing seasons.
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
Sheri, We thought we would have heavy rains the last front that went thru here...but God spared us. But the Carolinas are going to have so much flooding, it's scary. Praying for all of those states suffering the floods.
DeleteI hate when I miss a beautiful sunset. LOL. Today I took blue sky and white cloud pictures , so I can enjoy them in winter. :):) Blessings to you, love, xoxo, Susie
What gorgeous skies!
ReplyDeleteHi Jo(e), Hope all is well with you. Thank you . I love the sun, moon, stars and always the skies. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYep, that sunset last night was something else! I couldn't see all of it though because trees are in my way so thank you for sharing these gorgeous pics!
ReplyDeleteCindy
Ps. Probably won't be at Hortons fall open house because I'm going to the Purdue Homecoming...unless it gets rained out. Also, THIS Thursday, 20th, Treasure Mart has a few vendors that do a little special
"market" which is kind of fun. I'm going to try to go to it in the late afternoon.
Thanks Cindy. I am hoping to go to Horton's On Friday because we have other plans for Saturday. It's a busy week here for us. Of course two days is golfing for Ted. LOL. Hope you and your Suge are doing well. It's getting to be a big job to stay healthy. Blessings to you sweet girl. xoxo, Susie
DeleteI didn’t know they were open the day before the open house. Maybe I’ll try to sneak up that way on Friday too if I can get away. I have tentative plans so I’ll have to wait and see if they happen or not. Yes it absolutely is hard to stay healthy! We are both having some issues! Hope you and Ted are doing well also! Blessings back at ya! Xo
DeleteBeautiful September sunset!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. You know I love them. Hope you are enjoying some nice ones at the lake. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteFirst of all I want to thank you for all the kind words. Secondly those are great sunset shots! Our trip is not etched in stone as of yet. There are a few bugs to work out but I hope it can come to fruition. We both are in love with the place and we are so lucky to have this wonderful little island in our back yard.
ReplyDeleteLater my friend!
Boston Boy, Gee I will be disappointed if you and Arlene do not make that trek to the Vineyard. That's how I get to enjoy it , I visit your blog and look thru the pictures. LOL I like having you as a blog brother, so do not quit. You like to take videos and pictures and you are good at it, so that's always something to blog about. :) I love the sunsets here lately. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteVery nice colors in that sunset and the clouds. Very rarely do you see those shades that pretty. The science behind is rather boring, if I recall right, if there's more water vapor in the atmosphere, the sky turns more to the orange/red/yellow family. If there's isn't much it's more on the blue/violet side.
ReplyDeleteAdam, I loved your comment. My grandson has a degree in meteorology. When he told me he was moving to Seattle, I reminded him it rain 300 days a year there. LOL He said it is like pop up showers...here one minute and gone the next. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYour sunset pictures are always so beautiful Susie!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pilar. Hope you are still safe from the flooding. That is so heart breaking to watch on TV...and I always think of my blog family there. Stay safe.Blessings, xoxo, Susie
