Boys !!!!!

See what little boys will do when mom goes for a potty break. Yikes !! Click on the pictures to enlarge. I hope you can see their faces.
I enlarged the picture to see what Luke was eye balling.  My daughter Liz( Gigi to these boys) Said he was thinking, "I could jump up there, no problem. " LOL
  They aren't always climbing.
But most times they are.  They are  at their gym here.
Speaking of boys.... Here's Teddy suiting up to run the log splitter , at my daughter's last week. I think this may be where we got sick.
Mic (Ted's brother) chunking the tree into manageable pieces. Matt and Mic cut the tree and piled branches. Ted ran the log splitter as each of them placed a chunk of wood on it. Mic took a load of ash to his workshop.  Liz and Matt have many ash trees and Indiana was hit by the Emerald Ash Bore , which has destroyed most, here in the state.
This is the latest happening here.  Ted saw his Hematology nurse practitioner on Monday. She said he had bronchitis and wrote a script for an antibiotic....which the bone marrow nurse navigator said he could take. Then when he called the nurse navigator yesterday, she told him she had postponed his all testing that was scheduled for today till next week. Giving him some time to get better. Then he is scheduled to see his cancer doctor after that. Still getting labs every Monday-Wednesday- Friday.  To make sure he is in remission.
Tuesday we were both very sick, his bronchitis and my head cold. We called the insurance adjuster to cancel them looking at the roof.  But Wednesday that young lady came out and looked at the roof and thankfully the insurance is paying half of the price of a new roof. That was good news for us. See on top of health issues , house issues still come about. I need a  vacation  :(
Wishing all of you a sweet spring day. XO

  1. Oh yes you do need a vacation! Those little boys are looking very mishevious aren’t they lol, it’s so good to see Ted doing what he loves but it’s a shame you both became sick. Our grand children constantly bring us gifts of cold and flu, we have been lucky this year, but the little ones seem to bring so many bugs home until their immune system gets used to school, at least that’s what we’ve been told, I sure hope you feel better soon, Ted as well.

    1. Thank you Laurie. I know we try not to even visit with the little ones , especially now with Ted needing to be a-one for a bone marrow transplant. We were healthy all winter too. I think the change in high and low weather conditions doesn't help. Of course I call all kids "cootie-kids" when I see snotty noses. I try not to hug or kiss them but I like to play along on the floor with them. I also think we have been stressed over the roof, the furnace, and mostly Ted's health. I would love a two or three day cruise...just to sleep with the rolling waves. LOL Blessings to you, stay away from the "cooties". xoxo, Susie

  2. Oh I'm so sorry your are both sick. It does seem like we get sick from kids more often than not, even when they don't show symptoms. They are always picking up something from school. Hope Ted heals and is able to get the tests done and keep going. Take care of yourselves...both of you! We're keeping you in our prayers. Sweet hugs, Diane

    1. Thank you Diane. We were a bit better yesterday evening and today not so hot. LOL. We are coughing a lot. I use drops, Ted uses sprays and we both take Tylenols. The Hematology nurse said they will keep Ted in remission...that is a comfort to me. Hey, I think I may have to trim his hair soon. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. Good morning! We are in the country! Arrived late last night. I set my alarm for 7:30 and just got up and turned the coffee on before I opened up my iPad to see if you had news. Praise God for antibiotics! Those sweet ‘cooties’ are adorable!
I’m about to swig a cup of coffee and then head down to Dean and Sherry’s. I’ll go with them on morning critter duty as there are so many new animals here. New routines. Still praying for you and Ted!
What a relief the insurance company will cover half the cost of the roof. Praying for peace and strength for you both as well as a return to good health. Love you, Susie Q!

  7. Lol...boys just seem to be lots more dare-devil than little girls, at least there is never a dull moment.
Sorry to hear you and Ted are not feeling well, sending healing wishes your way.
The insurance company paid for just half a roof of ours, when a hailstorm came through three years ago, the roof was only four years old at the time :(
Hoping your days are less stressful, seems like there is always something needing our attention :)

  9. Aren't little boys wonderful! Never a dull moment. And they sure keep their guardian angels busy.

Yes, the house does not wait patiently when something goes wrong, even in the midst of needing to focus entirely on your health. Both of you take care and get over your respiratory problems. Build your strength for the next step of this journey. One that when Ted is safely through it will give both of you the chance for a vacation.

  15. Our youngest grandson that we live with was/is so mischievous too. Always feel that I can’t quite trust him! So sorry you both were sick. We’ve had a pretty healthy winter but recently the grandkids (the three here) have been sick with fevers, colds and upset stomach. No fun for them and the parents are exhausted!! Half the cost for a new roof, that’s a huge blessing! Life goes on, nothing stops even when it’s tough going....I hope you get the vacation of your dreams. And soon! God bless you ❤️

  16. Oh Susie, having to deal with house issues on top of it all, I'm so sorry. Bronchitis is awful, and I've had it a couple of times myself. I hope you guys feel better. Oh, those boys are so cute, and boys sure do get into mischief sometimes, don't they? I bet it felt good for Ted to get back to his log work.

Feel better, Susie. And I hope you can take a little vacation soon. That will be nice after all you've been through.

    1. Thank you Sheri. We laugh at the boys but I hold my breath at times. So scary with Luke on the table . Their table is one of those high things with tall stool seating...I really hate that style. Not for older people and now I am thinking not for young kids. LOL Sheri, I would a fun sunny day on the porch. Blessings to you. Love you, xoxo, Susie

  23. Oh Susie, I’m so sorry you both got sick- I too am leery when the little ones come to visit. The poor things their so susceptible to all kinds of diseases being in school nd daycare!! But fortunately they bounce back quite easily. Where we are a different story. My prayers continue for you both. I can’t imagine how difficult this is for you both.
