Today would have been my mother's birthday . I sure miss her . She passed away in 2006. But some days it seems like yesterday.
My mother passed away after having surgery on colon cancer. It was a small spot, that needed to be removed. She did very well, woke from the surgery, talked, but was sleepy. But in the night she fell so deep asleep, her kidneys shut down, then it was just one thing after another.
Mom had 11 children....10 surgeries from an auto accident....open heart surgery for a quadtriple bypass,...surgery for a brain aneurism.....So you can see where we thought our mother was superwoman. Never dreamed we would ever be without her. I ask all of you today who still have your mothers, hug her for me. xoxo
I am so sorry you lost your mother Susie. I lost my husband in 2006 but my mother has been gone much longer than that. Be it an hour or forever, we never stop missing them.

Your mother sounds like a wonderful woman and I know you and your siblings must miss her terribly even though years have passed. I know there must be so many happy memories you have of her though, lessons you learned from her character and spirit.
ReplyDeleteShe was Superwoman! My mom passed away in 1990 and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. Take good care and sending you hugs and good wishes.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you today as you remember your Mom. My mom died four years ago and oh, how I miss her each and every day.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you today, Susie, as memories of your mother are so clear to you. My mother has been gone since 1983, and I still miss her.

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you lost your mom.. I know the feeling so well.. It comes and goes but there's always something to remind us of our sweet mothers.. Your mother sounds like a fighter like mine.. We always thought daddy would go first since he was quite a bit older. He only lived four months longer than mom.. I'm thinking of you and sending hugs..
ReplyDeleteSusie, what a sweet tribute to your mom. She really did go through alot. My mom passed away in '2001' and I miss her every day.
