Look at this sweet postcard I received form Diane. Diane has the blog "Lavender Dreams". She sent me some Florida sunshine to cheer me up. If you need a lift in your spirits, go visit Diane at Lavender Dreams.
This card makes me remember all the times I used to go to Florida. I went to Daytona Beach every year for 20 years. Always in February .....that is when we need a break in our winter routine.
If we get nasty weather today, I am going to sit and look at this card and dream I am at the beach. :):) Thank you Diane. xoxo
it's 80 and sunny today. come on down!

It is cold and frosty here today and I could use some of that sunshine too!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm glad you got it and like it! Wish you were here my friend...wouldn't we have FUN! Warm hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. It's sold and dreary here, so Florida sounds nice. I used to go there alot as a kid too. We went to St. Petes where my great grandma lived. Those were the days!

ReplyDeleteI always have wanted to go to Florida in the winter
I'll be looking at the post card with you, we have sun today and possibly up in 40's
A different view, from here. We spent one Jan./Feb./March in FL, and I did not like it.
ReplyDeleteGuess I'm just a northern gal, in my bones. ,-)
But if such a post card is helpful to you, at this time of year, goooooooooood for you!!!

Oh I will eventually get "cabin fever" and be sick, sick, sick of cold and snow and ice and wetness. I'm not immune to that.
ReplyDeleteI just won't long for FL. :-)
Oh, wish I were there too! The sun and the ocean, so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteshe is such a sweet heart, what a lovely card, take care,
ReplyDeleteI love the beach and wish we lived closer. I have friends and family who do live there and seldom ever GO to the beach!
ReplyDeleteThe sounds of the ocean....how peaceful is THAT?
While I am at home I go to sleep to the ocean by way of my sound machine. I should get one for the camper!
It sounds like you are ready for some sunshine, Susie. Hopefully the worst of the winter weather has passed.

What a thoughtful friend to send you such a pretty post card! I hope that when we get back from our trip, the worst of winter will be over!
ReplyDeleteIn my blog, you commented, that it's getting hard to come up with nice blogging ideas... Since you don't do crafts everyday, or go to interesting places daily. And you no longer belong to clubs.
ReplyDeleteMY DEAR, I don't do ANY crafts. A lot of days, I don't even get out of the house. And I don't belong to "anything." But yet, as you have discovered, I blog-like-a-bit-of-a-maniac. -gigggles-
To me, blogging is simply About Life. My Life happens to be lived mostly at home, and so that's what I blog about.
And THAT is what I want to read, when I visit other blogs in Pretty Blog Land!!! I want reading a blog, to seem like coming into your home, sitting down across your table from you, and then we have a chat. THAT is blogging in Pretty Blog Land, to me.
So please, never feel you have to "do" something, to have something to blog about. I love blogging, which is just about living. Bits and pieces of our living. Not allllll of it. Not a Dear Diary thing.
But just this and that, this and that... Happenings, "wonderings", books read, hopes, irritations at times too.... Etc.
My (long and drawn out) message is? That bloggers tend to worry too much, about what-to-blog. Worry that it has to be fancy, or sparkly, or brilliant, or exciting, or.... Life isn't all those things, every day.
I love life, every day, blogged about. How about you????
"Auntie"
And that comment I just wrote, feels like an idea for a post!!! Thank you! :-))))))))))))
ReplyDeleteJust like Diane to send you some Florida sunshine. What a sweet friend!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I've never been to Flordia yet.
ReplyDeleteLucky you got to go for 20 years!
I just told my Shug yesterday that we all need to go somewhere South this time of year! So true. So many people have Seasonal Affective Disorder.
