There is a hawk around our neighborhood. So we have not seen many of our pretty birds. You may be able to see the starlings in this tree. I really don't like them. They are nasty and can't sing worth a darn. They must be able to hold their own with the hawk. We have kept birdseed out all winter. Even the doves have not been around here for some time. Hope all of you can view your lovely birds. xo
I know they are part of Nature, but I don't like Hawks. I don't particularly like having to see The Cycle Of Nature, which consists of a big bird (Hawk) killing and eating a little bird.

Doves have been here all winter, that is very strange...we may have some of your Doves. We had a Hawk for years here on the farm, but last year he didn't come. We have had a very cold winter, I am so looking forward to spring!!! Have a great day, Mary
ReplyDeleteI would be mighty upset if I could not see my birds. We have many cardinals and doves feeding now. Shelley and I saw a Great Horned Owl last week early in the morning but his intentions were not good I am sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure our hawk gets a meal when needed but he doesn't seem to stop our songbirds coming to the feeders and doves cover the ground at feeding times. Every once in a while a flock of starlings come and my husband gets out the firecrackers. They don't stay long but it takes awhile for the cardinals to come back too and I love them.
ReplyDeletei don't because i am scared of birds.

We have crows, pigeons, buzzards, and hawks! Every now and then we may see blue birds. The neighbor has a couple of blue bird houses. My husband has tried to attract purple martins, but we've never seen any. There are mockingbirds that are unhappy with me when I pick blueberries.:-)
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a good Tuesday, Susie. xo Nellie
We have all kinds of birds here...and hawks come over sometimes, too! Everyone scatters when they do! Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, we haven't had any birds lately either. I love to listen to them in the spring and watch them in the bird bath. My daughter despises them, because they sing too early and wake her up. I think it's cute. I told her they are singing just for her.
