Today I went to brunch with 10 other ladies. This photo is from last month. I am the 3rd from the left, back row. I look almost tall compared to a couple short ones in front. :):) Today the tallest girl in our class came to town. I think Holly is 5'11" . So we all looked short beside her. :):)
I have to say today was a much better day than I have had in a few days. ...less stress. I was happy to see my friends and share some stories. You know those stories from the good old days. Plus the horror stories of our ailments. Yikes, all of a sudden I did not even want to think of any pains or problems. You know how that goes. We think we have troubles till we hear others' woes.
I think I need to go back to counting my blessings. I know that I am blessed, with loving family and friends. Then there's my blog family too. XO
Yes, it sure does help to count our blessings when we're facing big challenges in life.

Thank you Mary Alice. I am hoping I can remember this without letting snags in life get me down. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYou look good, Susie! I am so happy that you were able to get together with friends. It seems I do less and less of that as I get older.
ReplyDeleteIt's not easy getting older but always good to remember the positive that we DO have. xo Diana
Thank you Diana. It is fun to do this once a month. Some times during winter the weather doesn't work for us. But we do meet when we can. You know that old saying about getting older....It is rough. But I will just keep trying to live the best I can. xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie. Isn't it a blessing to get together with friends? Isn't it a blessing just to have friends?? You all look so happy and like you are enjoying yourselves. I get together once a month with 3 other "girls" that I worked with. We are all retired and we have fun getting together and talking about the old days. I am messing around with my sciata nerve (don't even know how to spell it). No fun. I'm going to google for some excercises to do before I make an appt. with the doc But not as bad as some have and I keep trying to remember that....Happy Thursday..Judy
ReplyDeleteJudy ,I have that same problem at times. Moist heat works at times. I have a cream called Bio-Freeze that helps too. The chiropractor told me to do stretches before doing any kind of work, even sweeping. I do not always remember too. xoxo, Susie
DeleteI love getting together with friends. Nothing like it to take away stress. Hope you had a wonderful, fun-filled time. Hugs, xo
ReplyDeleteHi Susie, I wish you could have come too. It is fun just getting to know some of the ladies better since we went to school...so many years ago. I needed a fun time today...too much stress from so many other things. Blessings to you, Hope you are feeling much better. xoxo,Susie
DeleteHow nice that you got together with your friends, Susie. I bet you had a lot to talk about. This is a great picture of all of you, and I spotted you out right away. I think it's time for me to get together with my high school friends. One of the girl's birthday is coming up, so maybe for that, we'll see.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting with me even if I've been away from the computer while moving into my home. It's so good to see you when I get on my computer while I take a little break now and then.
love,
~Sheri
Sheri, If you can just get a couple of your friends together, the next time may be more. We women need our girl friends. I love visiting your site. Even when I have little time, I jump on and off line to see some of the blogs..some times I have to come back to comment. Your blog is always interesting. Blessings for a smooth move into your new home. Hope you have great neighbors. xoxo,Susie
